  1. Well, everyone it was a good day for the bears! Tampa, Philly, Minnesota, and Dallas all lost this week. What does this mean? Here's what we need to make it to the playoffs: Obviously we need to win out, so combined with that this is what needs to happen. Dallas must lose AT Philly next week and Tampa must lose at home against the Raiders. If this happens combined with a win tomorrow night and next sunday we're in as the 6th seed. However, why go for a 6th seed when the queens are going to choke away the division? So the way for us to be the 4th seed is for minnesotta to lose at home against he Giants. So everyone watch sunday night football and root for the panthers, because I would find it hard to believe Tomlin would rest his players for week 16 if they are on a 3 game losing streak. All and all we still don't control anything, however everything I predicted to happen happened and hopefully one of the two scenarios plays out. Remember either G-men over vikes OR Philly over C-boys and Raiders over Bucs (could happen did anyone see what they did to the texans 2 day?)
  2. They were just talking about the maturity of mat ryan, and showed the last play he had against us. WOW, I haven't seen that clip since it happened and let me tell you that was a whole lot of B.S. the damn clock doesn't start until he drops back I know it's a moot point, but I can not believe the NFL didn't look into that last play because although it was only couple seconds that didn't come off( and it was clearly obvious in the nfl countdown replay), all they had on the clock was 1 second left that screwed us over! Just watching it live appeared in slow motion since the clock wasn't running. I saw many of you talking about it, but now that I have witnessed that myself it kinda pisses me off since we are so close to missing the playoffs and since that loss gives the falcons and the bucs and cowboys the tiebreaker if we end the season with the same records.
  3. No,no,no... If atlanta wins we are still alive for the wild card, just they are thrown out of the mix for us to beat out. If atlanta wins we would then in essence need washington to win this week at home against philly, then tampa to lose to San Diego, and next week against Oakland and for philly to beat dallas at philly. Meaning atlanta and us would be the wild cards (if in fact we are able to win out... One loss by us and we're toast) Basically we needed for these last 2 weeks dallas, atlanta, tampa to lose both which dallas already lost one and for philly to lose this week at washington which could happen given that washington beat them at philly earlier in the season.
  4. If I'm correct the games we need to pay attention to are san diego at tampa, atlanta at minny, and philly at washington. Any others that I'm missing? I have a feeling it's all going to come down to kickoff at 1:00 next sunday if we win on monday night.
  5. Does it go by divisional conference record, or overall NFC Conference record, because if that is the case dallas now has 3 divisional conference losses and so does tampa and philly, so if we win monday night we would only have 2 losses. Just wondering since dallas's loss keeps us alive for a wildcard as well! HERE'S TO WINNING OUT!!! Now we have to hope that washington whipps up on philly and philly takes their fustrations out on dallas in week 16! Then all we'd need is for tampa to lose against san diego and oakland. That is if minny doesn't choke LOL!
  6. First of all don't get me wrong. I am thrilled we are still in the playoff picture, and savor a close win against the number 1 offense in the league, but... We need to fire both turner and babich after this season. I mean c'mon 4 minutes in regulation, you're up by 4 and 3 straight passes??? Even a 8 year old playing madden with this team would run the damn ball under those circumstances. Then there's ole babich. I think the announcers collinsworth and the other dude said it best before the game, and I quote... Same faces from the dominant defense we had a few years ago went on to say urlacher, brown, ogun, brown, briggs, and tillman, but we are not dominating the way we did a couple years ago. END QUOTE START MY QUOTE: Sure we have a few newbies such as payne, roach, and graham, but all in all, this is close to the same team and the only difference we see this year and last compared to two years ago is the complete tool babich calling in the plays. Don't get me wrong, because I certainly don't want to piss on anyone's parade, but this coaching staff sucks ass, and after the fake punt almost handing the game to N.O. I would have said to package the whole staff except for toub and kick them to the curb, and had we lost tonight Lovie sure as hell woulda been in the darn bag, he really is looking like a bad investment for this team. The players aren't to blame, going for a fake punt at that field position is the coaches blame and I've had it with this staff holding this team back. I mean common how hard is it to see that davis completely sucks ass and let the rookie get some reps davis needs to get some splinters in his ass-cheeks! PLUG your ears bears 88 your orton hatin ears won't like this, but even though orton had a poor game especially in the second half, props to him for grabing his team by the jock and marching them down the field to tie it and then to win it. I don't care how many int's he had he shook it off and willed us to the win. I don't put any blame on him for this being a close one he's doing all he can with what he has and thank god hester decided to be a wr tonight! CHALK ME IN JASON FOR THE FIRE THE COACHING STAFF COLUMN after this year.
  7. SMACK!!! (me hitting you with the optimist stick) LOL
  8. Bears88 is also missing two other facts. One: although hester hasn't lit it up in the return game, this team can use as many bodies as possible on kick returns and AP is one of the best in the special teams department, and wolfe has emerged as well, so them being on the active roster is a combination of their ability to spell forte for a series here or there and the fact that wolfe excells in kickoff coverage, and AP excells in both kickoff coverage and return blocking, so as much as we the fans would like to see what kj brings week in and week out, due to the massive amount of injuries the special teams unit has faced and the lack of production that comes with it, it makes more "football sense to keep AP and Wolfe in the 53 man roster. Two: it would be completely irresponsible to put kj in right now. What if he gets hurt? Then we don't have anyone backing up forte that can bring to the table what forte does. So, in keeping kj inactive in essence he makes a great insurance policy if god forbid something happens to forte. Less use on him now means a fresh set of legs if called upon. Not to metion forte is really emerging as a bright spot that all us fans can look forward to for the next 5-10 years.
  9. Lovie had stolen all the credit for the defense being dominant the past few years, when really the mastermind was Rivera. These past two seasons with lovies "right hand man" Babich we have been aweful on defense. HMM, well we were a top 5 defense with rivera, but lovie fires him and gives the job to someone who did jack shit to earn the job other then kiss lovie's cover 2 ass. Babich needs to go, and if lovie says one word, he should be shit canned as well. Personally, I'm for kicking lovie to the curb and calling chico in for the job he rightfully should have been handed a few years back. Chico was the man for the job and lovie took the credit for it, and it's obvious now!!! f Fire lovie get chico
  10. Nah, dont' sweat it. A few years back I had a severe high ankle sprain had to do crutches and everything. Doctors said in some cases it's better to break your ankle than to sprain it. However, after two weeks I was walking on it pain free. The reason the doctors say it's better to break it is because of the recovery time. With a sprain it's very easy to roll your ankle all over again and screw it up. I felt like my ankle wasn't 100% for 3 months, but that's just the strength in not rolling it again pain wise I was fine after 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Which is why analysts like clayton say he'd be out for about 4 weeks. Like I said I was walking pain free after 2 weeks, but stepping on the smallest stone was plenty for me to roll it and resprain my ankle. It looks as if this is orton's case as well. That is why his ankle is taped up so much. After seeing that pic I have to wonder if it's possible for him to sprain it again. That looks like 2-3 rolls of tape. He'll play, but the one thing I'd be really worried about is him respraining it and how much the heavy tape job affects his mobility. I don't think he'll resprain it with a tape job like that on it.
  11. I just was hoping you could replace the smiley face on your signature with a picture of rex. You could call it your rex hancock.
  12. I've seen enough of manning to know that he A. he can not cover and constantly blows assignments and B. he takes poor angles when tackling and chris johnson is not someone you want to do that with. Go with steltz. He was a very solid tackler at LSU and one helluva playmaker for that team. We saw what he is capable of last week, and given the opportunity and reps He could be on the way to our starting FS for the future with this team. The thing I really like about him is that he has the football smarts that brown plays with. Maybe not as good of smarts as brown as of yet, but he has ten times the smarts than that of d. manning. Let manning ride the pine and continue the secondary with Steltz at fs, payne at ss vash and p-nut at corner, and graham at nickel. Manning is good depth and a good rotation guy cause I feel that he can come in on rotation and not screw up, but when relied upon regularly he's bound to screw the pooch sooner than later.
  13. Another thing nfo, his ypc may be down, but his pass catching yards are up. Benson got blasted cause he was not the pass catching all around back that we think forte is. Also, his pass blocking is superb, he really has added more time to kyle's throws with the blocks he's thrown. I believe they showed a block he put on Det's DE which gave kyle the time to hit hester for the td, so he isn't getting bashed nearly like benson did because he's contributing in every way that the bum benson did not. Forte is a good poised rookie and I should know he's on my fantasy team! (BTW he's netted me 80 pts already! what a pick-up in the second week from the undrafted pool!)
  14. Please be right, I am starting forte this week on my fantasy team. I think I've got a good match up this week with forte going against the lions and stewart against the chiefs.
  15. Actually, I want to know if this is another cover-up like they did with williams. HMMM he gets suspended for being late for a meeting, or maybe it's that the team doesn't want to disclose the fact that his knee may be in more serious condition than what they are leading us to believe. He hasn't been the same at any point this year than what he was last or even the year before. This may be something they are trying to do to keep the media from digging deeper. Maybe I'm just overreading it a little bit, but I think it's worse than what we think and they're looking at every way possible to keep him off the field without getting all the questions about his health.
  16. Dude, Rex gets blasted because when he screws up he doesn't learn from it. He keeps doing it. At this point it appears that when kyle screws up he has the ability to bounce back from a bad game ( and i'm not talking about the next game, I'm talking about during the game). Kyle's qb ratings in the 70 to 80 range are a far cry from rex's 0's, 10's, 20's, and 30's. Sure it was nice when rex could go out and put up a 100 or better, but it's the fact that when he was playing bad it was like a leak that goes unfixed, it only gets worse. Rex's horrid ratings are a shear indicator that if it was a bad day, it was a really, really, really bad day. I can only imagine how many t/o's we would have had if rex played and he was having a bad rex day, pretty scary to even think about considering the constant pressure philly was applying! Kyle did have a bad 3rd quarter, but I look at it like this: the the first fumble happens to everyone. Some of the best qb's have fallen victim to getting hit from the blind side and fumbling it. Then you have the second fumble, sorry that looked more on jones than it did orton. How about the first int. Like I said orton got hit as he threw it and philly's guy happened to be in the right place at the right time. Sure kyle did have a bad int in the endzone, but at least philly didn't get great field position from it. So yeah kyle did screw up, but his mistakes haven't all been on him. Philly has a good defense if you can't see that for some odd reason go give big ben a call, I'm sure he'll be more than willing to testify to that statement.
  17. See, I told you guys... I really do wish I had some vacation time to burn for the next couple of sundays, 10 sundays, a thursday and a monday to be exact... but who's counting. I AM!!! God do I hate knowing I'll miss next week when we take the kitty outside and put it to sleep! If we in some freakish way lose to the lions you better bet the farm I'm either going to come down with the weekly sunday flu bug wait, even better yet I could go see my doctor and tell him that missing the games on sunday is sending me into deep depression. OH I'm already feeling it coming on for next week, everythings dark doc, I'm totally neglecting my body's football needs. How's that sound, it could work right???
  18. Last year I worked 3rd shift and only caught a hand full of games. I bs you not, we did not lose any game I watched last year! This year I work on sundays from 10 to 7:30, so the only game I've seen this year was against the Colts. Seems like the games I watch we win, but the games I miss we lose! God I wish I had some Vacation time, I'd take every sunday off!!! But oh well all I can say is this week, like week one is primetime and I WILL be watching, so chalk one up in the W column!!!
  19. You're basing that off of ... Last time I checked Payne played one game last year and we're only two weeks in this year. Last I checked Steltz is a rookie right??? I'll book mark this post so that if either turns into a pro-bowler I can bring it to your attention on a regular basis.
  20. UH yeah, considering that Graham completely out played him throughout all of camp, I would have to say yeah play graham as the nickel. I don't mind seeing manning returning the kicks for one week, but terra's not off when he says that this guy has been a complete bust. You know it's pretty bad when he is "okay" with coming off the bench. Most "competitors" want to be out there, yet manning has said that he's okay coming off the bench. I'm really disappointed to see that he actually made this team this year. He is by far the biggest weakness on this defense when he is out there. This will more than likely be his "last" chance, and if griese is smart he'll tear him in half and force the bears to kick him to the curb in favor of graham. There's a difference between a fast defensive back and a smart defensive back, and I'll take Mike Brown over someone like Deangelo Hall any day of the week. Manning is not a smart football player and to be honest what good is speed when you're constantly chasing your guy down from behind because your coverage skills suck so bad. So far the only play I recall seeing manning out there in the nickel was on the play where wayne torched him and almost made a stretched out catch for a touchdown in week one. Sorry, but I'd rather see Hunter out there instead of that waste of a 2nd rd pick. I don't even have to finish watching him for the rest of the season I'm already calling him a bust.
  21. Where I come from we don't call that drinking kool-aid!
  22. Yeah, especially against the Colts in Week one right? We're doomed by a qb that throws for 150 to 175 a game with no turnovers. Instead, we should be watching a guy that throws for 200 to 250 with 3 to 5 turnovers, what will we do????
  23. Wow, I can't believe the mentallity of some people. Last year everyone was pissed because we claimed to be a running team and we always passed it. Now we actually do what we say we're going to do and you cry and complain because orton didn't throw it enough???? What's wrong with the play call on 3rd and 6? I think the last thing Indy thought was that we would try and run it, and turns out Turner was right. We caught them off guard and it worked big time. How about the 19 yard pick up kyle threw to llyod? How about the 12 or so yard pass to booker? How about the pass to hester that got us close to a first down? How about the pass to Olsen, which I can't remember for how many yards it was? How about the pass to clark, or even both of them? Kyle averaged 7 yards per pass which is pretty decent considering how our running game was looking. He also did a great job of recognizing blitzes and throwing the screen to the rb. He also had 3 passes over 20 yards. So I really don't see the point in you calling out the passing game. Kyle did pretty good and ranked 14th in qb's this week. ( notables who did worse than kyle by passer rating system: Derek Anderson, Peyton manning, Carson Palmer, Jeff Garcia, Marc Bulger, Jake Delhomme, Matt Hasselbeck, and Eli Manning) So why again are you complaining?????
  24. Old Spice commercial is freakin hillarious. I love how he says who's laughing now....Me. Sorry, I saw it last night and just a few minutes ago on MNF, and wanted to hear what all of you had to say about it. Last night when it came on I laughed so hard my wife gave me the WTF look. His dry humor cracks me up like in the commercial and during the interview after the game. Cocky, yet funny gotta love that!
