NFO, yesterday i was thinking why the F are the Bears doing nothing at all in FA? It's pretty clear we need upgrades in a few spots badly(if not experienced bodies for depth). Imagine if Orton goes down, we have no one on the roster that has started a Nfl game to sub in????? Something must be up! It makes no sense at all. I thought there were a good amount of Oline FA's out there that could have been picked up to secure our line. At least if that was done we wouldnt have had to address it in the first 3 rounds of the draft. Then we could have gone after a WR or S early on. Shit even a QB. I'm surprised that there is not more outrage on here.

Things i think must get done before draft: 1. sign a vet qb(Losman is who i like, but really at this point anybody) 2. sign a RT(guys have mentioned Barnes-i would be happy with that) 3. sign a S(i dont know who would be best-Dawkins would make me happy)

Crabtree's injury causes him to drop to 18th where we can nab him. Really though that does suck for him and i wonder if it will have any affect on where he gets drafted. I could see it not really doing anything

im not a fan of Stclair as a starter either...i remember watching him play for STlouie and thinking this guy is terrible. next thing i know we sign and i was like WTF!! he is attractive as a back up though I think there are 2 things that must happen before the next season 1. Sign a vet QB....i would like to see Losman, i dont think it will take a huge amount of money leaving more for a OL. I think he has the tools all he needs to do his get his mind right. MAYBE with with a good ground game with a good oline he can perform like the 1st rounder he was projected to be 2. Sign a OT.... i would like Gross, but you cant always get what ya want either way we need something if those 2 things happen before the draft then i wouldnt mind us going after a wr in the 1st. there is alot of talent for wr this year.

I'm pretty sure he is a free agent. Former 1st round talent that didnt work out in Buf. I say bring him in. As of now we need to do something. I cant see him needing too much money to sign. I would think a chance to compete would be the first thing on his list.

Allen is 26 years old...with 4 years in the league before he was traded........peppers is 29 with 7 years in the league....all im saying is age and years in the league could play a factor.....there is alot of wear and tear on the dline...i would hate to wrap alot of money into a pass rusher and get what philly did....i wanted Kerse real bad, shows how much i know

i can see what you are saying but he has been in the nfl for 4 years now. He has made some nice throws like the one Davis dropped on 3rd down(not his fault). he threw some close to mid range passes that sucked too. there were some throws on sunday that made evryone watching the game with me say "wtf that is a pass that should have been thrown better". Question for you NFO does Orton's limited talent hold back Turner from calling certain plays in crunch time? Just so i say this upfront im not a fan of Turner. Also to go along with what you said about working with the WR's to be in cinc, what has Orton and these WR's been doing all offseason and training camp. It's not like Orton is a rookie or 2nd year guy, he has been practicing with nfl wr's for 4 years. he has seen nfl speed long enough

i agree with your idea of the coaching staff needing to get creative. Turner has not showed anything yet so why are they going to start now. maybe if the heat gets turned up on Lovie and turner they will....hopefully they do something. The only problem is Orton blows, if we do get mismatches chances are the pass will be underthrown. What blows my mind away is Orton was a gunslinger in college why is he having a hard time making easy throws? im not asking Orton to make great plays but cmon there was way too many crap throws in sundays game on open wr's.

i just want to see orton complete "easy passes". this weekend we saw way to many passes underthrown. BL made some great plays on some poolrly thrown balls. if he didnt make some of those catches orton's game looks way worse. first half was shit second half turned out better due to some great plays on some shit passses. we can line up any formation we want, in the end we need a qb that can make some standard nfl type throws.

Loved watching Berrain play with a qb that sucks more then our 1st and 2nd string qbs. What was he thinking going to a team that has one of the best running games in the NFL and one of the worst throwing qb in the NFL. He is going to have a long year. I pray that we beat the shit out of the Vikings... Oh wait we play Mushin this week, lets beat is face into the ground first.
