  1. I dont like the number 13 either.........why god why??????!!!!!!
  2. I think everyone agrees that Rodgers is on a different level then Cutler. I think Cutler is a QB that needs weapons, Oline and a good game plan to perform well. Unfortunately for Bears fans JA thought he could do it on his own and Emery paid him like he could too. Rodgers does not. Rodgers has also been in the same system every year which helps when plays fall apart or the rush gets to him quickly. Cutler needs to be successful 1. Good game plan 2. Oline protection 3. weapons to make his job easier Rodger needs 1. Nothing

    Uh oh...

What exactly is he trying to do with these comments? 3 weeks before the season and he wants to stir things up. He knows exactly what he is doing by saying what he said, I don't get the pay off. He clearly wants a new contract and if you want to get paid you would think you would be on the straight and narrow. Maybe he wants out of Chicago??? As for the leadership deal with Cutler, I don't care if he is the leader or not I just want him to cut down on the turnovers. Would I prefer Cutler being a leader, yes I think it is always a great thing if the QB is the leader of the team. At this point the Bears just need him to not throw stupid INT's. With the money they are paying Cutler I would expect him to be THE LEADER. He cant be THE leader until he play up to his talent level tho.
  4. Trust me, I am not letting myself get too pumped about anything this year. Once the games matter we will see what the coaching staff can get out of Cutler. I am a firm believer that with the right game plan the coaches can win with Cutler.
  5. Cutler looked different on Saturday, I cant pinpoint but he had a different look in his eyes. He looked to be moving in the pocket better, a couple of times he made the smart move and ran with it instead of forcing a throw. On the play were he lowered his shoulder and tried to bull rush his way into the endzone it just looked like he was trying to make a statement. Preseason or not he was going all out. Did anyone else get the same feeling or was it the beer I was drinking???
  6. After watching the starters play against the Colts I will agree with you I am very encouraged. They looked Professional this is something that was lost last year with the old staff. Great point. Last year was such a shit show (actually was embarrassing), I cant see the same thing happening with this staff.
  7. Huge Blow for the Pack. Having torn my ACL I wish that on no one. I enjoy watching Nelson play the game just like I enjoyed watching Farve. This does help the Bears and the rest of the NFC North, with Rodgers, Davonte Adams will probably look pretty damn good tho.
  8. Now Allen with a QB hurry... Almost had a sack..... Hope Allen can get to double digit sacks this year!
  9. I saw the Vet day off list but nothing else. I just went through my twitter feed and there is nothing about it. Where did you hear about this ?????
  10. Im trying to not be on the 7-9 or worse record mind frame. The schedule is tough and losing our 1st round draft pick hurts. The NFL is crazy tho and if Fox and Co RUN THE SHIT OUT OF THE BALL it could be better than 7-9.
  11. Dickerson tweeted it....left practice early...... no updates yet
  12. Is this the first thing we have ever agreed on??!!!! lol
  13. Great points. Trestman was NOT a NFL HC and could not manage BM. I bet you are right Fox prolly could have. Makes me wonder if the BM trade was forced by upper management.
  14. I agree with getting studs, I don't need Peyton Manning type choir boys. But on the flip side how many Championships has TO, Moss, Burfict won?
  15. I agree with you on the impact on the field. I point to one game for reference against the Pack, he was clearly hurt and gave 110% until the game was over. He lead by example on the field. The Bears must have felt that his locker room antics were causing more problems then his on field production or what his future on field production will be. I was mad that they traded him but everything that has came out of the Bears locker room this year is about how great the locker atmosphere is compared to last year. Forte a guy who typically keeps to himself called Marshal out after his Cutler accountable remarks. If Forte speaks out against BM you know shit was bad in that locker room.
  16. This 10000000% Dont show anyone anything. Dont get hurt! Get the feel of in game play and get ready for the 1st game of the season against you know who!
  17. You are correct in that typically the Defense is always ahead of the offense during training camp. I just wonder if the that is not the case here because the offense is used to changing scheme every year or two and this is such a huge change on the Defensive side of the ball. The Bears have been a 4-3 based Cover two influenced Defense for about 15 years give or take a year or two. They are making a switch to the 3-4 and do not really have the personnel for it or they have some pieces of a 3-4. The offense has a lot talent to begin and could run any offense you want. Offense: Used to switching scheme year in and year out Considerable advantage in amount of talent Guys are playing their position they have played their entire career Defense: Drastic Scheme change Talent level is way less then the Defense Players are being put in new positions they have never played I do hope you are right tho, a Jay Cutler Pro Bowl would be amazing
  18. Everyone knows I am or was a Cutler backer but Im not buying into anything until I see it during the regular season. Trestman even tho I think sucked said it numerous times last year, Cutler looked like a pro bowler every week during practice and it never showed itself on game day. This sounds like the preseason get pumped bullshit that comes out of camp every year. To answer the question tho! The biggest factors I could think off : 1. Gase - tailoring the Offense to Cutlers strong suits and calling a great game plan 2. QB Coach Cutler has wanted to work with 3. Forte, Alshon, Royal, Bennett and Oline all playing well in the system= if everyone is on the same page it makes for few mistakes I hope its not due to the D being behind because we cant play our D every week!
  19. Sounds a whole better then the Highest Paid QB!
  20. We all agree Cutler needs to get better at certain aspects of his game. How much of last year was due to Trestman and Kromer and Tucker?? How much was it due to the team chemistry being off? Its pretty clear BM was a driving force in a negative manner in the locker room. It's the only thing that makes sense of him being traded. How much of it lays on Cutlers shoulders too. I think we should see real quick this season what the problems were. We have a proven HC, OC and DC. Granted our talent maybe be thin on the Defensive side of the ball. A coaching staffs job is to get the most out of their players and put them in the best position to be successful. Even with the talent they have I trust this coaching staff more so than the last. As far as the team chemistry Kyle Long is saying its really good right now, I think every team has some good chemistry going right now with no one having any L's on their record.
  21. Im loving everything I am hearing from the beat reporters and interviews with players and coaches. At this time of the year tho its all peaches and cream. I like what Pace is doing tho! Anyone catch the Kyle Long interview, he said its night and day different from last year. Locker room is better then last year. The things that Long said point to the reasons BM was traded. Unlike year past I am not buying into everything I have heard year in and year out, if the Bears look like shit the let down is too great. I am super pumped for this year, will be at every game but just not setting myself up for a huge let down.
  22. http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/88...out-deflategate I already know you guys are going to say its not about the ball its about lying and not admitting to it. Do I believe everything out of Brady's mouth..... Nope but at the same time I don't believe a thing that comes out of Roger's mouth either. My attitude towards this can be summed up by the wise words of Happy Gilmore " Green jacket, Blue Jacket....who gives a shit". lol
  23. Not the best new but if its only based on him not being in great shape due to resting the shin its not that big of a deal. Houston and Young passing physicals is great news. The more guys the more chances the Bears have at putting a decent D on the field.
