  1. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...rd-vs-green-bay Here is the article I was talking about in regards to Marty's comments.
  2. Thank you! Everyone can think this, that or the other thing. The media loves to show Cutler and his jerk face. All that matters is what his teammates think. In years past maybe he wasn't very much of a leader, who knows. It looks like this year he may be taking on more of a leadership role. Marty even had good things to say about Cutler this week.
  3. Cutler voted as captain....... Peers see him as a leader. what say u ?
  4. I agree with your thoughts. Alshon DID practice today tho!!!!!
  5. Does anyone remember what the Bears average age was last year??? If my math is correct this years 53 man roster has an average age of 26.09. Edit.....one site has it 26.40. not a huge difference. I would like to take a look at the starters and the average age of both years to see is there is a big difference.
  6. The big thing with GB is the percentage of players on their 53 man roster that were drafted by GB is very high. At the end of the without Rodgers GB would be mediocre so you are right. But GB did draft Rodgers when everyone else passed on him.
  7. Being a ND fan I loved this guy while at ND. I have not followed him since being drafted. I would like to see the Bears take a look at him. Sucks his work ethic is not up to par. Red Flag
  8. Who knows they may fumble it less. They may fumble it more. I'll tell you one thing, there are other factors that will affect the amount of fumbles way more than the PSI. I cant remember did the Pats fumble in the 2nd half of the Colts game or the SB?
  9. Cant wait to see how Brady plays this year with that extra pound of PSI.
  10. Reminds me of Hoodie Bill with all of his responses to every question. They are required to give a certain amount of info on an injury. They do not gain anything from give more then is required so I have no problem with Foz being vague.
  11. I am right there with you. I am not allowing myself to get too excited to be let down like last year. I did think that the offense could be good and that the Defense would improve solely based on Fangio replacing Tucker. I was thinking 8-8 and a possible 10-6 if the ball bounced our way. My prediction keeps getting worse with each injury and bad performance White....minus one game (thought he would be a game changer) Ratliff....minus one game (anchor of the D) Alshon.....minus one game (game changer) if he is fine come week one, add another win Oline looking like hot garbage....minus one game I hope they are just resting Alshon because they are already know what they have with him and there is no reason to risk having the calf flare up.
  12. I guess he hasn't performed up to the 6.5 mil a year price tag..... doesn't mean he wouldn't play up to a lesser contract.....Would have to think he would be better than our OG if Long moved to RT.
  13. I thought Allen had some burst against Indy. I agree with you on paying him too much, its a common theme when it came to Emery.....Paid Cutler too much, Allen too much, Jennings (play went down quick) too much and Houston too much (injury didn't help but didn't really see anything from him before the injury) Emery got a steal with Willie Young tho!
  14. Did you see that pancake block in had in the first game??? He made some dude look like his bitch.
  15. Is it easier to find a serviceable OG or OT? My answer would be OG. I have faith that Long will be a PB'er at either OT or OG.......Maybe a decent OG that is older and getting paid a little too much will get cut. I read an article naming OG Andy Levitre as a guy that could get cut due to his 6.5 million salary this year.
  16. I think he was either a 4.3 or 4.4 guy coming out of college. Not sure how fast he is now but the Bears need some speed guys with White out. Give him a shot!
  17. I could have told you that when he signed....One or two years was all they were ever going to get out of him....maybe a 3rd.......Who knows maybe the OLB position will prolong his career.
  18. Waste of time if you are looking for a long term starter. But he would be better than Clausen in the back up role. He was special one year and what did he do that year???? He ran all over everyone. What happens when small skinny QB's run the ball in the NFL??? They get hurt. What keeps happening to RG3, he keeps getting hurt. He has not shown that he can sit in the pocket and be a pocket passing QB. People were against drafting Petty because of the system he played in while at Baylor, where did RG3 play....... Just saying......
  19. On the score Zaidman played a clip from Fox's presser he said Long has practiced at Tackle and could be moved if need be. You could be right!
  20. Bushrod has me worried. Leno and his penalties really have me worried too. I have to think there has to be one guy out there that can help out. Shit if there is a OG that is decent sign him and move Long to one of the Tackle spots. WR how about the Broyles kid from Det????
  21. Was just thinking the same thing as far as FA signings from the all the players cut. Hoping Pace can find a couple of guys to add depth to some of the positions that are thin.
  22. I agree with the surprise as he was a probowl CB two years ago and was injured last season. I figured he could return to something close to two years ago. I did see somewhere that Pace or Fox said that they wanted to go younger as one of the reasons for the cutting him.
  23. Just read that there is offset language in his contract. IF he signs with someone else the Bears will see some type of cap relief.
  24. Bears cutting Jennings...... Kind of surprised
