  1. You are right on all accounts. Almost didn't make it through the first year in Pit, Big Ben and Haley were not anywhere near being on the same page. Haley was an epic failure in KC. His hothead bullshit didn't go over very well, with upper management or the players. I guess he is a real douche, as Alaskan said. I would not want him. Big Ben has been great before Haley and with, its not because of Haley.
  2. 8 and 8 is exactly what I don't want. We need some game changing talent on the Defensive side of the ball. 8-8 will put us anywhere between 15-20 draft pick. Maybe Emery can find another Fuller type of play maker at that spot. IF the Bears had put up 31 point, I would be happy with the Bears offense. If they averaged 31 points for the reminder of the season then I would be fine with Trestman and all the offensive coaches staying on. The D and Sp teams need coaching changes, 100%... Nothing they do will change my mind. Trestman and Kromer can win me over if things change!
  3. 1. Riveria = I like that he has HC experience but I would want a OC that is proven 2. Singletary- I would like him as a DC 3. Dom Capers- getting him out of GB would be nice, are we switching to 3-4 with him being hired?? Not sure how that would play out, kind of puts us back to square one with the D 4. Kubiak- Texans were always good, never great..... not sure I would want him 5. Shananhan- I would be on board with him 6. Gruden- would be on board with him 7. Nolan - nope 8. Saban- Don't see him leaving Bama for the NFL again.....never know. His first stint in the NFL didn't go very well.
  4. So we beat the Vikings.... Cutler put up 300+ and 3 TD's. That's all fine and dandy but we all know that he is a GOOD QB(being paid like a GREAT qb). The 2 INT's, totally ruin the victory. Trestmans coaching again left me shaking my head. I thought they should have run more in the first half and the last drive of the 1st half was a horrible display of time management. The Vikings are not a good team, even tho any win in the NFL is earned each sunday. I think the Bears should have Dominated the Vikings, which did not happen. As of now I think the only way I will change my view of Trestman is if the Offense starts putting up 30 every game. I think after the season Tucker has to go no matter what SP Teams coach has to go no matter what Trestman Im still holding out hope that he gets the O right, but each game my view of him gets less and less positive.
  5. The rest of the NFL has seen what he have seen so far. I doubt anyone would trade for Cutler. If they would it goes to show how hard it is to find a top 10 type of QB. His stats are top ten for the most part, its just the 1 or two bad throws that we are still seeing. Even this weeks game, the end of the half INT, it was dog shit. I cant remember the 2nd one but the 1st one BM was double covered, a guy underneath and over the top. He should not have thrown that one. If you are going to make that throw it should have been more towards the sideline and higher where only BM could have caught it. It just goes to show you what winning does, with those 3 TD's and 2 int's the headlines on espn read Cutlers 3 TD's lead the Bears to victory. Had the Vikings turned those INT's into Points they prolly would have won. If the Bears lost the headlines would have read, Cutler throws 2 ints and the Bears lose. INT's are going to happen, Cutler just throws too many!!!!!!
  6. Im with MAD, not sure how I feel about this guy. Clearly he knows Offense. He did screw up the Denver thing in a big way. Not sure I would compare Bill in Clev to Josh in Den. But guys do learn from there mistakes. I think if Josh could redo his Denver trip all over he wouldn't have tried to trade Cutler as the first move he made. Im sure it caused problems in the locker room. Once you lose the locker room its really hard to get it back. HE is older now, more experienced. Maybe he would be a good hire. I do think Emery will not fire Trestman if the team plays well the last half of the season. I see Tucker and Decamlis (sp) getting fired and Trestman staying. If the Bears suffer anymore games like NE or GB then maybe the Bears would be forced to fire the whole staff.
  7. The same asshole who is day dreaming in meetings, finally comes back from his injury and calls the wrong check... Imagine that. Yeah, man.... Im just staring at the clock and Im like damn we got 55 more minutes... Maybe if he was being a vet leader and actually listening he would have made the correct call. Winning attitude/veteran leader/ wonder why this team sucks/ way to go out Briggs/ This is just one play, one player but it speaks volumes to what is going on.
  8. Impressive resume so far. But I would like someone with more experience. Not sure I like the Trent Richardson trade but I do like a GM not afraid to make some moves. The biggest thing from his resume that I am really impressed with is total number of player change overs. He completely gutted that roster. Now the Colts would not be the Colts without one key player, Andrew Luck. Andrew Lucks do not come around very often. They went from Peyton Manning, he gets hurt, they lose every game except one and get the number draft pick then same draft that Andrew Luck comes out. That is about as lucky as you can get. Go from one of the best to ever play to Andrew Luck. At the same time the Bears always play just good enough to draft 16-20. This guys resume does look good, but it wouldn't look this good without Luck.
  9. OK.....so who hosed up on the 2nd one???? lol like it matters. The D is shittier than shit!!!!
  10. I think Harbaugh would be a good hire..... Who knows where he would want to go in terms of personnel. I like the idea of Polian being hired on to consult with the McCaskey's 100%. I also think you are right with they should do this NOW, let him get a first hand view of whats going on inside Halas hall. If they did this it would pretty much tell everyone shit is going to change.
  11. This hire makes to much sense for the front office to think he is the right guy. LOL In all honesty I don't care what the Front office thinks. They have yet to make the right decision. I feel that the Bears should have cut ties with JA, Lovie sooner then they did. Had they made a move on JA sooner maybe we would not be in such a mess now.
  12. I get the catering to jay but With or without Jay I would be happy Shanny as our HC. I remember when Shanny was a FA I wanted the Bears to Fire Lovie and sign him. Didn't happen.
  13. I agree, that it would put the fan base at ease. It is a whole lot better then some weird looking geek from the Canadian Football league. Maybe Im wrong, Trestman can right this ship, at least on the offensive side of the ball this year. I wouldn't be soooo disgusted if the Offense was playing well. I can deal with the D playing like shit, there are glaring holes in the talent on that side of the ball. There is no problem with talent on the O, there is no reason the O sucks this bad. I will say that if the team continues to play like they have the last two games, there is no way Trestman makes it to year 3. The only way Trestman saves his job is if the O gets on a hot streak and puts up big numbers every week moving fwd. Then Mel Tucker and Joe De will get fired and Trestman will save his job.
  14. Why Sumlin??? I know he has been successful in college. Not against him, just would like a proven winner in the NFL more then a college coach. Im not saying Sumlin would be a bad choice, I could be sold on Sumlin as I bought into Trestman. lol
  15. I have two sides to this: 1. Hell NO, why cater to Cutler again. Its time to start over from Ted Phillips down. This route could mean a couple of years of terrible football, if you were to clean house. 2. Part of me is like hell yeah!!! lol..... Before Shanny went to the Redskins, if you asked me if I would want Shanny as a HC I would be on board 100%. Who knows what the real problem was in Washington. He is a proven winner 2 SB's. His offenses have always been great, love his zone read blocking scheme. Took Terrell Davis a 6th round draft pick and made him a star. With or with out Cutler I would have liked Shanny as our HC> Then to take it a step further, we have Cutler locked in for 2 more years and BM locked in for another 3 or 4 years. Shanny has worked with both and has gotten great production out of both. Cutlers Probowl year was under Shanny. Why start totally over when we do have talent on the Offensive side. I would think if the Bears went D heavy in the draft and signed a few more FA this thing could get turned around pretty quickly with the right Coaching staff.
  16. I remember saying WHO THE freak IS THIS GUY???? They sold him to me, I bought in. Especially after the Offenses production last year. This post literally sums it all up.
  17. I have seen Cutler going over the ipad with coaches, they even talked about it on the Jay Cutler show with Waddle and Silvey..... I cant comment on how much he looks at everything in between plays. Is it the media only showing clips of him sitting alone and not when they are reviewing things??? I don't know, either way if he is NOT reviewing each series with coaches and every other QB in the NFL does, there is a problem. Each player will lead or not lead in their own way. Urlacher wasn't a talker, he lead by his actions. If Cutler is not a ra-ra guy then so be it. From everyone around the Bears, they say Jay is a leader. First one in and last to leave. I think his play needs to lead more then anything right now.
  18. Would make sense if this was last year with more Lovie guys on the team. But with Young, Allen, SMC(Emery guy), Bostic, Fuller, Ratilif, Houston, Mundy, and who ever else they brought in playing on the D it wouldn't make sense. Also Jennings has two years left on his contract. Briggs would be the only one I could see tanking to get guys fired. Bringing up Jennings, in Lovie's system the guy was a pro-bowler. They are not using him correctly!
  19. The worst thing anyone can do right now is listen to Chicago sports radio.... IT is making me more sick to my stomach. Interviews with ex Bear players talking about how embarrassing the last two week have been. Replaying Trestman presser and ripping it apart!!! The last time a team has lost like this two weeks in a row is 1923.......19twwentyfucking3......how can the Bears do nothing???????? Make a statement. If these players have quit, then scare the shit out of them, start cutting people/firing people...... MAKE A Statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Franchises that have been ran right Baltimore - always in it New England - enough said Indy - got lucky with Luck but they where terrible and then came back pretty quick after Manning Pittsburgh - always in it, year in and year out, Green Bay - team is made up of people drafted New York Giants- two SB in the last 10 years/ always in it Find someone from one of these Franchises.
  21. I read yesterday that if the season ended today the Packers wouldn't even be in the playoffs. That would be awesome. Whats the point of waiting??????
  22. http://chicagosuntimes.com/football/rise-u...t-sundays-game/ I have tailgated with the same group of guys for 5 years, we haven't missed a game, we have two vans of people and normally have about 30 people every week. It been a pretty long streak for us. Well everyone is selling their tickets. I invited friends and they just canceled. So I am now selling my tickets.
  23. It only shows that upper management needs changing. Im not sure how the management system is structured. I would hope it goes something like this Players answer to Asst Coaches Asst Coaches answer to Trestman Trestman answers to Emery Emery answers to Phillips and Phillips answers to The McCaskey clan. From years of following the Bears I would not be surprised if there is really no one in charge. How could George McCaskey not walk into Halas Hall so pissed off that he himself takes Tucker into a room and fire him? After 2 of the worst losses in Bears history, how is the response that we need to continue to work hard. That's it, we need to work hard. I would like a reporter to ask these questions (maybe someone on here already knows the answer to these questions) Who was responsible for the hire of Emery, Trestman and assist coaches. Did Emery get to pick Trestman or did Phillips and McCaskey have a hand in picking Trestman? Did Emery have a hand in picking the assist coaches? or was it all on Trestman? Did Phillips pick Emery or was it McCaskey and Phillips? Where does the buck stop? The Buck needs to stop somewhere. I think the buck should stop with Phillips. That way the McCaskey Clan can always be protected.
  24. As it sits now 1 Raiders 0-9 2 Jags 1-9 3 Bucs 1-8 4 Jets 2-8 5 Titans 2-7 and then a bunch of 3-6 teams like the Bears Giants Redskins Falcons Rams It will be interesting to see how this season pans out. The jets don't seem to have quit on their coach yet. The Giants typically turn it around when off to a rough start. Falcons, Rams suck. Redskins may win some games with RG3 back. Will the Bears fight to win 8 games? Or like some have already said lose every game from here on out. With this D, that could easily happen.
  25. From what Briggs said somewhere, they are not running anything like Lovies D. Maybe last year more so then this year.. Tucker sucks. Fire him and whats his name(sp teams coach). I think Ted Phillips should be fied. Hire someone who knows how an organization should be run. "The way I see it is in those three key hires, you evaluate the entire body of work and see whether the entire body of work merits having that person back for another season. It's not one game or one play. Again, look at the Giants. They had confidence in their people, their coach, their plan, and it bore fruit."[6] —McCaskey on Jerry Angelo's firing Who was in charge of hiring JA and Emery????? Was it Ted Phillips???? Look at his entire body of work. The Bears had a great defense that got them to the SB once since 1999 (when Ted took over). Other then that the Bears have been a middle of the road franchise. JA left the Bears in a bad spot. All under Ted. Get someone who knows how to run a NFL franchise. Let him make the changes that need to be done. Not Ted, Emery or anyone else.
