No emotional decisions need to be made in the off season

I hope George some emotion, this season should have him seeing red. 1. JA drafting has 100% had an affect. Its part of the reason he was fired. JA drafting doesn't have anything to do with Emery and the staff he hired. 2. For Emery to keep his job he has to draft better than JA. GB has done a great job drafting, but they win because of Rodgers, end of story. 3. The guys inside the organization are the only ones that know how screwed up the Bears team and staff is. If everyone is fired we will know it was not fixable. 4. The only player that seemed to not buy in was Briggs. He is gone. 5. We can win with Cutler or without Cutler. After next year his cap hit goes to 15 million so that is better. I say if you cant trade him you try one more year, with a new coach or not. 15 million in dead space would suck. -

Glad to have you back!!! -
We need ATl to beat NO and lose to Car We need to lose out NYG to win one to get the 7th pick. I wish with us being out of the playoffs we could get a higher pick but anything in the top 10 would be nice.

http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId...amp;src=desktop If you read article it does come off as Brown being salty that Trestman made Rice the Number 1 WR in Oakland instead of him. This quote from the article is what seems to becoming true "He's a really smart guy, knows football like the back of his hand. That's not the issue," Brown said. "But there's a lot more to coaching than just X's and O's. You have to be able to deal with players and that's the reason [former Raiders coach] Bill Callahan hasn't succeeded as a head coach because he's a smart guy, knows football like the back of his hand, but when it comes to leading me, it's a totally different intangible you have to have. It's going to be very interesting to see how [Trestman] and Jay Cutler get along, that's for sure."

So maybe I'm confused. Going back to the Lovie days, most here would admonish him because his press conferences were bland and devoid of any controversy. People were upset because no 'open' discussions were happening about what was going on behind the scene. Save for a few outbursts from Urlacher time to time. Then this happens. Kromer essentially says what most of us (I know I have) have been thinking all this time. That keeping AND paying Cutler was a mistake. Tearful or not the fact that Kromer calls it like he saw it, I have no problem with. He didn't agree with the move and decided he'd had enough. Maybe he wasn't consulted and this is his way (as someone else suggested) to get out of working in Chicago? Who knows? It's obvious there is a lot of dysfunction but it's not Kromer's doing. How are you rationalizing the whole thing. You are comparing Lovies Press conferences with Kromer talking shit to a reporter behind the scene. Two very different things. Lovies press conferences were bland and devoid of any real info not controversy. No one bitched about him not causing any controversy. From what I heard Lovie has changed the way he deals with the media down in Tampa. Had Kromer got up in his weekly press conference and said Cutler is screwing up, that is the problem; you could compare that to Lovie but he didn't. From the reaction of sports media and even Trestman, what Kromer did was wrong. No one is saying that the comment about jay was wrong. The Bears are at the lowest point I can remember, Kromer just added more drama to the circus. A unified Team/coaching staff would not have this happen. I have been a Cutler backer, I thought if you gave him weapons and a good scheme he would dominate. I was wrong, the scheme this year has sucked but I cant give Cutler anymore excuses. With that said Kromer still broke an unwritten rule by going to the media to throw a player under the bus. Big mistake throwing the Franchise 100 million dollar QB under the bus, if the Locker room was broken or their was a distrust in the coaching staff Kromer just made sure that happened. Saying the things he did had zero positive impact. It was stupid. With the season getting worse and worse every week the Bears need something positive, not negative.

Dude, get over Lovie
-
Cant blame him for being pissed, still there is no reason to run his mouth to a guy that has nothing to do with the Bears. The guy is looking for his next storyline, Kromer gave it to him. Kromer has been doing this long enough to know better.

I figured Petty would be a 1st rounder. I looked up his draft status on a couple of different sites, they all had him as a later round draft pick http://walterfootball.com/draft2015QB.php http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players...902/bryce-petty http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000040...tround-standard Not that these sites will be right. I have watched him play. He is 6'3 230 and mobile, has strong arm and is accurate. The big question is if its Petty or the system.
-
You are right, could work. Jared Allen could maybe play a similar position to Julius Peppers up in GB...... McClellin would love this move. He was a beast playing OLB in a 3-4 in college. Paea could play NT too.
-
I like Marrittoa, would love to get him in the draft. Don't think he would be around when its the Bears turn to draft If Trestman is around they may target a QB in later rounds. I like Byrce Petty from Baylor in the later rounds.

I guess they went to a more pro style offense, Kapernick did very well in the pistol and since going to a more pro style his play has gone down. I like Harbaugh as a HC, he has won with a talent loaded roster tho. Who knows what he would do with this team.
-
I like Wade Phillips, I would have liked him instead of Tucker back when they hired Tucker.
-
49ers paid Kapernick 100+ million. He is not living up to that contract....maybe Cutler and him can vacation together this off season Just thought this might cheer some of you up.
-
Fire everyone, Ted Phillips on down. Let the new President hire a GM and then the GM and President can hire a coaching staff. Let them decide on Cutler. Either way the new staff has Cutler for one year due to the contract. If he plays well they can keep him, if he sucks cut his ass after next year. All this is based on the fact that I don't think anyone will trade for Cutler and I don't think the Bears will cut him when he is going to get paid 15 million dollars next year playing or not playing.
-
As for wanting RG3, not a fan. For the price tag compared to Cutler, sure. But he isn't a long term solution.
-
The Bears leaked something to the fact that they are having buyers remorse. I would be very surprised if anyone would trade for Cutler.
