  1. I'm not wanting anyone in the Bears organization to tank anything. I think they will give it there all. I just won't be mad if the Bears lose every game from here on out We are not making the playoff, I want a better draft pick!!!!!!!
  2. These guys as a group clearly are not winners this season. I would rather get a higher draft pick. That's it.
  3. Or I should say I won't care if we do. I know the coaches and players will try everything they can to win as many as they can.
  4. Willie young call was terrible.... I would take it if it was called for the Bears tho!
  5. Would love to see this drive go exactly like the first!!
  6. First series on offense, looked really good. Kept the D guessing. No runs tho.... The screen to forte and dump off to Bennett and Alshon could be considered runs tho. That drive is the type of play from the offense that we SHOULD see a lot of!!!
  7. The shittiest part about that: In 2 years, Cutler may be gone...... Forte and BM will most likely be on the decline Alshon should be in his prime Bennett could be slowing down by then Our Offense will be old, just like our Defense was last year.
  8. Holy shit, I did forget a whole year!!!!! lol I guess Im using my selective memory to try to forget about the last three or 4 years....Hell the last 9!!!
  9. As far as the coddling comment, none of us know if Jay is coddled. I think its standard practice to not throw your players underneath the bus in the media. Behind closed doors we don't know what any of the previous coaches have said to Jay or how they treated him. I think Jay knows that he has to play better. His numbers are good, its just the stupid INT's that need to get cut down.
  10. 2009- Turner- not sure if he was hired before the Jay trade or after, cant really say he was hired just for Jay 2010-2011Martz- was not hired for Jay- I bet he was the best they could find to come- lovie was on the hot seat already, they had them meet before hiring that's about it. 2012- Tice - not for jay- Lovie was on the hot seat, im sure the list of guys willing to take the job was short They did hire Bates to be the QB coach... you could say they catered Jay there. Then Trestman and Kromer were hired. With or with out I would take Kromer...... Trestman I get how this could be seen catering to jay.
  11. As someone else stated, the Lions could easily have lost 3 or 4 other games that went down to the last second. It reminded me off the Lions with Swartz, but the big difference was Swartz never got them to close out games. It had seemed that Caldwell finally got them over that hump. This game will be very telling, They have Megatron back and Golden Tate has played really well this year too. If our D can hang with this Lions offense, that would make me feel a lot better. I do hope we see our O start to roll!!!!!
  12. Great, just a way for them to ruin my Thanksgiving. I could be more excited if the offense was looking really good. But they are not. The D has picked up their play which is nice, but could that mean Tucker gets one more year???lol Is it wrong to have a shit attitude about this season already??? We have won two games in a row and IT somehow feels like losses. Not trying to be Debbie downer but I guess I am. It would be pretty cool to see the Bears win out.....That could make for a great story!! lol
  13. That's a perfectly good reason for it, but the offense has looked like shit for a several weeks now. I do agree most radio can be idiots....sometimes they have good info.
  14. With the play calling the score guys said it looks like Trestman doesn't trust Cutler so his play calling is the short dink and dunk variety. I only saw the first half but in the first half I don't remember the Bears throwing down field at all. Could this be the reason the Bears offense looks soooo out of whack???? Trestman is calling a conservative game plan to limit the INT and turnovers? That could explain the lack luster performance by the offense. IF the players are not happy with the play call there could be problems. Im all for trying to limit the Bears exposure to turn overs but playing it conservative will only hold this offense back.
  15. Sounds like you raised your daughter right!!! No team flipping just because her BF roots for another team. Funny story, my aunt is as Southside Chicago as they come, she married a GB fan,my uncle grew up across the street from Lambeu Filed during the Vince days. They cant be in the same house during games.
  16. 2 weeks ago we were 8th, I think.... Its slowly moving back in the draft order. I just know the ending to this. The Bears will win enough games to be 1 or 2 games out of the playoffs, draft somewhere in the 15 to 20 range. As the years go by, I have just grown tired of being OK. Its one of the reason I wanted Lovie gone, I'll give it to him that he is a good coach. I just didn't see him taking us to the next level. The JA Lovie team just couldn't get it done. JA has left Emery with a shit roster, its needs youth and talent. Drafting middle of the round or late in the rounds makes that harder to do. I will say I like the 14th pick Fuller. If SMC turns out to be a decent LB then he did ok with his first draft pick. When it comes to drafting, you have to hit on the first 3 rounds every year. Then hope to hit a homerun with a late round pick every once in awhile. Emerys first draft SMC- why they drafted a 3-4 LB to play DE blew my mind, they finally moved him to LB, this year he has been hurt off and on, hope he finishes strong Jeffery- Home Run!!! Hardin- Bust 2nd draft Fuller- Home Run Ego- still to early Sutton - still to early.... I do hope that these two DT pan out, it would help with the long term in regards to the Dline Im all for the Bears winning every game possible, its just so hard to root when you are already see the writing on the wall.
  17. She hates GB. She knows when the Bears stink and when they are good. She is a keeper! lol
  18. I brought a Tampa Resident / Fan to the game yesterday. He goes to most of the home games of the Bucs. Here is his comments about the Buc's: So far they undecided on the Lovie hire, they know it wouldn't be a quick turnaround, but they didn't think it would be THIS bad Complained about Lovie's normal mistakes.... same stuff we bitched about Before the game he said the Bucs will lead most of the game and then lose it somewhow. Also said the Bucs Oline is about as terrible as it gets. A win is a Win but the way I would have liked to see the Bears win by playing decent Defense and playing well on Offense. We played well on defense and shitty on Offense. Not sure what is going on with our Offense, they were so out of sync in the first half. I didn't see the 2nd half, left the game because of a fight with the GF. The Bears shitty play actually started a fight between my GF and I........ this is how bad this season is going....Funny thing, it was her bitching about the Bears that started it!!lol
  19. This would lead me to believe that all the bullshit we heard about Cutler "buying in" was just that BULLSHIT. If Cutler was going out there just doing whatever he wanted, Trestman should have benched him..... With the signing of Cutlers deal, I have said that Emery and Trestman must think he is the right guy to give him that big of a contract. Maybe it was Emery calling the shots on this one. I would hope Trestman would have some say in this matter, he is the guy working with Cutler everyday...
  20. Lovie was given 9 years to get it figured out. Lovies problem was that he was on a short leash, everyone knew it, he couldn't recruit anyone to come to Chicago to run the Offense. At the same time, JA did a horrible job of putting any talent on the offensive side of the ball. Lovie had a good overall record because the Bears won with Defense and Special Teams (Hester). Lets not forget he had probably the best Cover 2 MLB to ever play the game. Hester the best return man to ever play the game. Not to mention PNut and Briggs and a whole slew of other guys. The year we went to the SB, we had a good Oline and a good combo of Jones and Benson running the Rock. Other than that who played offense.....Good Rex/Bad Rex.....After that year the Jones was released and the oline fell apart. Lovies core group of players all got old.... JA traded for Cutler, then put the worst Oline we have ever seen in front of him to protect him. Not a smart move. JA also screwed up by trying to make Hester the number 1 WR. Everyone screamed that the Bears had to fix the Oline, JA and Lovie refused. Had JA and Lovie figured out a way to fix the offense, maybe he would still be coaching the Bears. They couldn't.... End of story. So that brings us to today, the offense was fixed for a year....Now sucks.....lol....Trestman was hired to fix the Offense, Tucker is in charge of the Defense. There are guys on here that have been against the Tucker hire from day one. Trestman has bought some time in my eyes due to the offense being great last year. Tucker has proven that he sucks, 2 year in a row. Last year Tucker was dealt a lot of injuries and poor talent. This year we have had some injuries and better talent.
  21. I agree 100%. This same post has been brought up. Someone else recommended Bill Polian for this role. I think he would be a great hire for this. He knows this business, knows scouting, knows drafting. His knowledge would be light years ahead of Teddy. Keep Teddy on for the accounting department, I think that is where his experience is. Let a guy like Polian make all decisions concerning the the Team and its operations. Have him hire a GM, and Polian oversees him. If Polian thinks Emery is the man for the job, great but if he doesnt hire someone else.
