Bears/Seahawks
Briggs looks fat and out of shape...... I have had the same thoughts about Mel Tucker this whole first half.... hope its just preseason.....

Preseason Game #2 Open Thread
Teams run a very vague game plan on offense and base defense during the preseason. I don't care if Cutler looks amazing in preseason. Clearly I would prefer if the Bears on both sides of the ball looked great. Most important thing is NO injuries.

Need to clean house.....starting with
Im sure he meant when the season is over. The playoffs are not guaranteed to anyone, if the Bears are lucky enough to make the playoffs then Im sure Robbie will not mind putting off any vacation plans until the Playoffs are over. Robbie is as good as gold and has been golden for the Bears for a long time. This one comment will not change the way I think of him as a Bear.

Marquess Wilson
The thing that has me the most excited is The Bears are going into this season using the same system as last year and It is a real NFL scheme. Martz's scheme was a real scheme but we didn't have the right pieces to run it. Solid O line, real weapons, and a great Offensive Cord and head coach. Im excited to see what Cutler and Company can do!!!

Marquess Wilson
Perfect guy to take a chance on in the 7th, I remember reading about him when we drafted him. I SMH when I read how he got suspended and then quit on his team. I do know Mike Leech is hard to play for but Im from the school of never quitting on your team. He was projected a lot higher then the 7th round but because of the quitting and suspension he dropped to the 7th. If he turns out to be a beast this offense could be stupid good.

Big fan of Matt Forte's goals...
If the Bears win the SB there will be about 4 million people at that Parade! And I would be one of them!!!

Bears sign Jimmy Clausen..
Huge ND fan here, followed Jimmy from the time Charlie Weis started recruiting. Watched almost every game of his while at ND. He was a stud in college. Clearly he was drafted in to situations that was not good for him with the Panthers. Does he have talent, yes. Throws a nice ball. He has competed in some high pressure games while at ND. This signing is a great move, Tres has worked with him so he knows what he is getting with him. If Tres thinks he could help the team then I excited they signed him. If it doesn't work out they cut him and no harm done.

Back to the Bears
This is a tough question, with 54 done I really havent thought about who is my favorite. If Jared Allen plays well I will be a huge supporter. Love watching Marshal and Alshon.

Cutler's BDR
Im backing Cutler for this year. If he doesn't light it up then I will be done with hoping that he will become the franchise QB I think he can be.

Trade Briggs?
Im going to go with a HELL NO! We can win this year!! SMC is learning from Briggs as the other newbies are too. With a Healthy D I like our Chances this year!

Aug 14 vs jacksonville
If I don't go I got 4, I would give ya a good deal on them. Section 228 great seats. I most likely will not go. I got 4

SMC Workout
I really hope it works out for him. I like his style of play and his work ethic. If it goes south I will be blaming Lovie and if it works out I will praise Emery!!!! LOL Joking about the last part.

Interesting Tweets from Ty Youngfelt on Twitter
Pretty sure the Bears brought Fuller in for a pre draft workout

Sickening feeling. ...
If there is a DT that they like sitting there I cant imagine them passing.... Amaro was slow in his 40 time if I remember correctly.

2014 NFL Draft Open Thread
In Emerys press release he stated they see him as a CB. No mention of S. So far I like what Emery has done with FA and drafting and trades, I was shocked by the Long pick but look how good that turned out. Everyone said he could be the best CB in the draft and we got him at 14. Excited for the second round!!! Come on Emery make something happen!!!

Lamar Houston question
He stated he played last year at 285 not the listed 300 OAK had he at.

2014 NFL Draft Open Thread
Emery is not only drafting for this year but for years to come. He must really like this Fuller kid. I watched a couple of VT games and liked what I saw. I personally didn't think CB would be targeted in the first round because Emery said CB was very deep this year. Tillman has one year left, so Now CB is wrapped up for the nest 3 or 4 with Fuller and Jennings. I did like HAHA and it really sucks that GB picked him. This is one pick I will be watching for years to come, if Fuller doesn't pan out better than HAHA I will be pissed. With how big of a passing league the NFL is now you can never have too many CB.....That's me rationalizing this pick. hahaha....Not HAHA.....

Lamar Houston question
I have seen a bunch of guy comment that he is a DT or can play DT. I thought he was a DE. I thought he was signed to play DE. Is he a DT or DE?????

WTF moment
WTF moments so far 1. Dan Bazuin- 2nd round DE from my old college football team..... Just kidding this was JA not Emery 1. Shea= I was like WHO THE F%$K, went straight to google. 2. Kyle Long= again WHO THE.....turned out to be good tho Funny thing that both his first round picks have been WTF. I am on the side that believes the Shea pick was more Lovie than Emery tho. I really hope that a stud does fall to us and we don't have another WTF moment. Because of Long I will freak out less if he does pick a WTF guy!

Question to our resident college gurus...
Like is style of play. Good ball player. Comes from a good well coached program. 4.8 forty is pretty slow for MLB but I would take a quick MLB over a fast but not quick MLB anyday. Not sure how is quickness drills compared to other MLB. If the guy fell in the draft I wouldn't mind taking him but that all depends on what the Bears addressed prior

Hard knocks down to 3 teams
I would love it if the Bears were on Hard Knock!! I enjoyed the last season and it wasn't even the Bears!

Hard knocks down to 3 teams
Bears giants and steelers

Terrelle Pryor
Makes sense for the Seahawks, their starter is a mobile Qb who makes a lot of plays with his feet. You could run the same play book with him.

Terrelle Pryor
I just don't see the Bears using the Pistol or run option....They just committed to Jay Cutler, the last thing they want next year is Cutler getting hurt. Having him run an option would increase the chances of that happening. There would be no reason to put any of that in the playbook, its a waste of time. Any rep in practice running the option would be a waste of time, as long as Cutler is here they will not be running the option. I don't see them using the Wildcat either, but if they wanted to because they have a running QB as a backup that would make sense

Pretty much the same thing I just wrote, sorry missed what you wrote....... What he said!!! lol
