Kills two birds with one stone... DT or DE
-
I wouldn't either. I did not watch him at all last year, not sure how many snaps he got or what he did on the field but I do think he was useful when with the bears
-
What what, has me rolling....Just texted that video to my GF..... Ill let you know what she says!! lol
-
Pep did look good the last couple of games. I wonder if he knew he would be cut and put a little more effort into game day hoping to get paid again...
-
Now I don't agree with your post!!!! Up your Butt Mad!!!!! Wait you agree with what I wrote, so I agree with you!! hahaha Up your butt anyways!!!! Happy Monday!!!! Sorry I haven't finished my Monday morning coffee yet!!!!

Agreed, 3 for the 1 is going to help out a lot more. We had too many holes. Im a little surprised they paid that much for him. I will say I respect their front office, they seem to make a lot more good decisions than bad. Maybe they saw something on the film that we didn't, not that I want get to watch the coaches film or even breakdown every play. ' Its very easy for us to say he is not that good anymore, I cant recall how much people ran away from him or how many times they used two guys to block him or how many plays were designed to run away from him. Im hoping everyone saying he is washed up is right tho!

I like both u guys, both post a bunch of good stuff. I for one don't care about the name calling or jabs. Its the point of these boards, everyone expressing their thoughts and arguing over who is right. I compare it to sitting around my garage with my buddies. We never agree on shit and we call each other every name in the book. At the end of the day we are all friends. Any board would be boring if everyone agreed with everything written.

Just hit 1001.....watch out now!!!!
-
That sucks. I really had hoped they got both Melton and Tillman. One out of the two is good but both would have been great. I sure hope that Donald kid is still around at 14.... Don't think so after the combine but Ill pray!
-
Last year u quit, talked smack about this board. I think your big grip was the name calling. Now you call him a douche...... I don't get it.
-
With him not having a contract from any of the other teams it would lead me to think if the Bears want him back they can.
-
Anyone know if he would have restructured for the same deal what impact that would have had on the Bears cap?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he plays well for them. Also wouldn't be surprised if he was a non factor. Not sure about what position he will be playing in that 3-4 and if it will have any impact on production. End of the day I would rather NOT face him twice a year. The guy is still a freak at 34 years old.

You forget MJD is prolly hated by Cutler...... Talking shit after the NFC champ game
-
What Mad said!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DE = Looks like its the most complete group, wouldn't mind another additions DT/NT= Needs some more, possibly the draft, if they resign Melton we would be pretty good OLB= Funny one here, if Shea performs we still need a body but Briggs we know what we are getting MLB- with Williams and Bostic we could be OK here CB= if Tillman resigns I would not be too worried here but prolly need another body for depth and Nickel depth S= Need a starter and bodies. What do you guys think the biggest concern is now??? Safety and DL 1st DL or S 2nd whichever they choose the opposite 3rd OLB or CB
-
I thought I read that the Bears will have a huge amount of cap space next year (2015) and even 2016. So resigning BM shouldn't be a problem even extending Alshon should be easy. If that is the case dipping into the Cutler cap space wouldn't really cause any long terms constraints.
-
And at any time they can dip into the Cutler contract to free up some space. I vaguely remember Slauson and Jennigs contracts have that flexibility too.
-
Caught a couple tweets about saying something to the fact that the Falcons wont have to face Tillman with the Bucs.... Not sure if that means they wont be getting a deal done now or its still up in the air.
-
Man I miss Frank O "my god he just ran by me" le !!!! And St Clair....... some real GEMS we have seen protect our QB.
-
They may add another DE but it wont be Allen. Allen is 31(I think) and put up 12 sacks last year. I could see him having another 2 or 3 productive years. It's been said he is a workout warrior, which leads me to think he can still put up 10+ sack seasons for a couple more years. Neither Houston or Young have put up 10...... Combine both and is that even 12???? I do like that they are younger tho. I just really like the idea of Allen giving us at least two years of good production while they turn this D around. He is familiar with the NFC North and has produced in it. I don't see Allen getting 10 mil a year. If the Bears could have signed him for the 6- 7 per year range I would have loved it.
-
I didn't say they would play for that amount. Im saying use that 3mil in whatever per year they would have to pay them. Lets say Allen would play for 5 or 6 per year. Then they are only paying another 2 or 3 mil per year to sign him.
-
I pay pretty close attention to College and the NFL, watch a lot of games. Its sad I have never heard of this guy and he played against us twice every year. So I would think signing a Jared Allen type De is off the table now. I would have rather used that 3 mil towards Allen or even resigning Peppers if he doesn't get a hug offer.
-
Funny our big name signing was a guy I had never heard of........ Sweet!!!! Lol Emery said..... He's going to let the market settle and see who is worth what and add accordingly I'm hoping they make a move on Jared Allen..... Dude still has some gas left!!!!!!
