Wow, please football gods help us out!!!!!!!!! I like the idea of 13th!!!!!!!
-
im sorry i meant this years and next years packaged together to get into the top 5, not sure if that would even work. just asking what people might think about it when we had the 4th pick and traded with the jets, what did we get????
-
Would 2 first get us up there to draft him
-
That sums it up. There is always the chance he will want to stay in Houston. I read that alot of PGA golfers live in Texas due to the tax break they get, similar to Florida if i am correct. What are the injuries that Williams has had the last two years? 2011 injury torn pectoral muscle 2010 injury groin- needed rest because it was getting worse both i think are injuries that he should be able to come back from
-
Does everyone think Mario Williams will be a FA?? Is there talk coming out of Houston that they will not franchise him?
-
Agree, if he stays a top 5 pick. If he drops then maybe there is a way to move and not break the bank(players, picks). I also think even if we draft a wr with a 1st or 2nd round pick we have to sign a vet wr too, V Jac or Bowe. Wr is normally a positon that that a couple of years to really produce in the NFL. If we only draft a wr and do not upgrade via FA we could be in the same postion as this year.
-
well, call the draft off, JA just shored up the Oline for the next couple of years
-
Cant say pass until i see what JA does via free agency and draft. If he does the same thing he has done the last 3 or 3 or 10 years then i would say sign him up. If he goes out and gets a real WR then maybe i would say no. As far as the locker room problems i would point out that Burress, TO and Moss all changed their tunes when they got on a good team and were ready to grow up!!
-
So freakin true MAD the perfect storm, Rodgers is a stud, you cant argue that, but having the best wr group in the nfl helps out and you cant argue that. being the same system really helps too. Put Rodgers with our WR group and then a new OC every other year i would bet a large sum of money you would not be seeing the production we are seeing this year.
-
i love to hear, cant wait to see the list of guys on the market, Mario Williams will be franchised right?
-
Damn that would be sweet, Not sure if i would want to try Carmi or Williams at LT. I would hope Williams with a couple of years under his belt may be able to handle the LT side now. Most DE's attacking the Left side are quicker DE's, isnt that what Williams is better suited for?
-
I agree with the need to get a stud WR, the last thing i want is the Bears reaching for a WR just for the sake of taking a WR in the first.
-
I totally agree, it blows my mind when JA says we are happy with our Oline. Everyone outside of the Bears FO has been screaming Oline for years!!!
-
I think it is safe to say we all agree that OL and WR are the two biggest needs going into FA and the Draft. Lets say we do not add anyone in FA just for the sake of looking at what to do in the Draft. I would be happy if when the Bears pick they take the best avaible between the two. If there is a Floyd or Jeffrey sitting there and they are higher ranked then the remaining OL i say go WR if there is an OL left that is higher ranked then the WR left go OL.
-
TOO FUNNY!!! To add the DT will have impressed JA by jumping out of a pool while holding 50lb weights in each hand while not really ever playing great football, every other team would have had him rated as a 4th or 5th round pick.
-
I like Melton too, i also think Oymboe(sp???) can turn out too, He has gotten some good pressure this year. I think DJ Moore has been brought along nicely. Also i agree with Paea, i think he will turn out waaaayyy better then Gilbert(mister i can jump out of a pool which has nothing to do with playing the game of football!). Imagine if JA didnt take Bazuin and Gilbert, the Bazuin pick in the second round never sat well with me. I just didnt get it. Gilbert i didnt know much about but with his size speed and strength i thought Ok maybe. I would throw the Dan Bazuin pick as the worst one made by JA, first because it was in the 2nd round and second because even though he went to the same college i played at CMU, we should not have been drafting a DE from the MAC, esp in the 2nd round. Jason Taylor was drafted in the 3rd round. You got a better chance drafting a WR from the MAC.

Cutler is back Sign or franchise Forte Williams and Carmi back for the OLine Oline LT- someone new= i do not like depending on Webb at LT, he shows some flashes of being good but you cant count on it week in and week out LG- Williams back= he will do, sucks having a first round LT playing LG but it is what it is, C- Garza= have not wathched alot but seemed to hold his own RG- Louis= when he plays mad he can really blow people off the ball RT- Carmi= this depends on his health, but going into his second year in the NFl he should be good Looking at this for the O i would say the biggest concerns are WR and then LT, you look at the O without Cutler and the WR problems can not be hidden. We need a WR flat out no doubt about it!!! If we had to go with Webb at LT i would be ok with it but would rather not. WR Williams= a joke Hester= stick to returns Bennet= with Cutler he was good Knox= no telling with the injury he just had Sanzenbacher= drops, drops, drops= maybe he will turn out to be ok with a full year in the system and an off season to go with it Seeing 2 of our starters go down with injuries on the oline i think he need some depth but with the 2 coming back i think the oline can be ok. I think the first targeted postion be it FA or draft needs to be a WR. You put Cutler with a big time WR it will open things up for Forte and the rest of the WR bunch. With our D aging quickly we will need a high powerd O to bridge the team until the studs we have on D are replaced. I say that we have 2 maybe 3 years with the core of the D we have now. If you can put a high powered O together right now it will give the front office time to start replacing the guys like URL, Briggs, Peppers and Tillman. If the O is not fixed before these guys are done we will be left team that cant play D or O. If you go into the rebuilding process for the D with the O we have now we will be screwed for a long time. Look at the Pack, their O is so good the D does not have to do much to win games. You dont find guys like Peppers, Url and Briggs all the time, we got a couple more years left with them. The time is now, we got to get the O corrected!!!!

If there is no chance Cutler or Forte can not play in the playoffs then i say lose out, get the best draft pick possible. The better player we draft the better chance he can make an impact next year. With Atl winning last night they have NO and TB left, they will prolly spilt those two leaving them at 10-6, which would mean we would have to win out which seems very unlikely with us going to GB on xmas. DET has OAK, SD and GB- they could possibly lose all three or win all three. So who knows how they will end up. I think our best shot is them losing enough to get us in the playoffs. If we go 2 and 1 and they go 1 and 2 then Im pretty sure we get in. Talking about this is just making me want to beat the crap out of my computer screen right now, KC should have been a W, Den was a W until the biggest brain fart I mean 2 biggest brain farts happened with 2:00 mins left in the game. We should not even be in this situation. The only shot we have in playoffs is if Forte and Cutler play, if they are out then its pointless, we couldnt beat OAK, KC and Den, the comp in the playoffs will be much better then those teams. I guess crazier things have happened, AZ in 06 when Rx went to bad Rex, the D and special teams won that game. You know what screw it i hope they make the playoffs with or without Cutler and Forte!!!!! lol!!!!!
-
pissed, more like depressed!!!!!!
-
I hope all the Bear fans, media dicks that doubted or talked shit about Cutler see how good the guy really is. This O was doing a lot of great stuff and now it looks like donkey shit!!! Wasting a good D sucks! Its safe to say if Cutler is playing that would have been an easy win. Like the last 2 as well. This really blows
-
please O just score one TD. the D will do the rest!!!
-
i would like to see the difference between us and the pats and the pack. my biggest gripe with JA is his misses on 1st and 2nd rounders. those 2 rounds can not have misses to sustain a good team. im taking a shot in the dark but i bet JA has one of the worst track records in the 1st and 2nd rounds
-
Im up in the air too about firing Martz, look at all the QB's that are great right now most have had the same playbook for longer then 2 or 3 years. Take GB their timing is amazing, Rodger and all those WR's know the playbook like the back of their hands. The longer Cutler and these guys play under Martz the better and more comfortable everyone will get.
-
I agree, Dline looked good too. It sucks, cutler in this is not even a game.
