From Downers Grove, 25 miles west of the city, but now live in the West Loop, about 3 miles from the stadium

From the pictures he looked pretty cut up, well at least his arms looked good. I would be worried he got on the LA diet and that is why he lost the weight. If he worked out hard and that is why he dropped some weight then its all good

Interesting take on the field turf debate...
Chitownhustla replied to madlithuanian's topic in Bearstalk
http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/29187164.html http://www.surfacesolutionsna.com/ddgrassmaster_info.asp http://www.surfacesolutionsna.com/default.asp Here is some info on the Field turf the cheesedicks have. Funny thing is the Steelers use the same turf and i thought they had problems with their field? Maybe the problems they had were before the Turf. -
No that is funny!!!!! really do you guys think this was the Bears fault? Im sure they or the ONU rented the lights or where the lights already there. I would think this has nothing to do with the bears.

The big thing about this that raises my eye brows is the No competion, this is our starting Oline and until they Falter in a game we will not be making any changes. Why at this point in camp would Tice be saying these are our starters no questions asked, seems weird to me.

I think there are a number of things. Anyone picking against the Packers right now would be laughed at. I think Everyone(media) wants to see Lions FINALLY turn it around. Everyone wants to be able to say I told you they would and it makes for a great story. Everyone loves a new story. The Bears and Lovie are not the new and shiny toy, they are the group that has been around for a while and have shown flashes of greatness and crap. Vikes will get mentioned because they have AP, and now that they have McNabb they have a shot. But i agree with the way the Bears played the Packers in all 3 games last year there is no reason we are should not be picked to make a run at it. The O is going into their 2 year in the same system which should be huge for the WR and Cutler. I think Williams will surprise some people, he is now in a contract year if he wants to get paid this will be his last shot for a big contract. I also think if the Bears had done more with the Oline we may be getting more respect.

I wonder if the maintenance cost of the field turf the Packers are is higher then grass, the Packers have the Grass Turf blend. Could it be cost of upkeep? If it costs the same why dont Bears just pay for the grass turf blend to be installed if the park district wont cover the cost?

I may be wrong but didnt Urlacher play some LB in college as well as Safety. Mays has never played LB. I dont see Mays turning into a LB. Maybe he could turn his career around at safety but i dont see it at LB

we need to add youth to our team, D is getting old, i say 3rd and something else maybe a 3rd and JA???? and yes i mean trade JA to the Giants

i actually have friends that have partied with Jimmy Mac, the guy ran the crowd, put on a show and had a group of Bears fans cracking up. Im sure it is not like this all the time but he does play to the crowd. Jay doesn't, he chooses to be that way. all im saying is why not say hello??? my friend would have walked away from the saying Jay aint all bad, but instead he thinks he is a prick. i dont blame him. either way i could care less, just dont throw int's and win games and im happy.

I have a two sided view of Cutler. 1. I dont give a shit how he acts, just win games and be a great teammate. If he is a great teammate and wins games i dont care what look he has on his face. 2. On the flip side, hey i get it, Cutler doesnt like the media. Not sure how i would handle the media. But his a$$hole ways out on the town and in Chicago burn me out. My friend lives in his building. He sees him all the time. Literally rides the elevator up and down with him all the time. My buddy finally says, Hey man how ya doing? Making friendly small talk. Jay doesnt say a word, just stares at the wall like he didnt just say hello. There is being a nice person and being an a$$hole. Cutler could have the whole city of Chicago eating out of the palm of his hand, Chicago wants a QB to love. Instead he wold rather be a jerk to his fans. I dont get it. Either way like Olin said Jay may be jerk but he is my jerk. So i will back him. Just be a great teammate and win games and i will keep my mouth shut.

Adding Carmi and Spencer is nowhere enough for how bad this Oline was last year. There are too many question marks with the Tackle's. Is Williams or Carmi playing Right or Left, are they putting Webb in as a starter? Who do we have at center now? Who is the guards? With the Tackles most likely being the younger guys why not sign a OG, a proven OG. Signing one of the many proven Og that were out there would have made this whole OL better. It would make the merry go round at the Tackle position not so risky. Having a proven OG next to a young Tackle would lessen the blow. Instead they sign no one. Im happy with what they have added, DL and WR. But there is not 1 person that can say they have done enough when it comes to the OL.
-
I just puked at the mere thought of the Bears not doing anything else with the Oline.
-
Do you think 2 3rds will get it done? I dont think so. I would love it. And yes i can imagine it, there may be another 9 sack half, just not against the Bears....FOR the Bears!!
-
1. They went after Willie Colon, i know it didnt work out but it at least shows that the Bears FO is trying to upgrade our Oline. Hopefully they contiune trying to sign someone else. 2. They signed Roy Williams. I know he has his issues but he is tall and has speed and most importantly he knows the Martz system, if he is ready to show everyone he is more then the fluff we have seen the last couple of years he should be able to get out to t quick start. 3. I like the Gholston pick up, some may not but im excited to see what he can do when put back at the DE position. 4. Olsen, i would have liked for the Bears to keep him. but who knows if Olsen would have stayed after this year with the Martz system not really being a good fit for him, he could have left after next season for a team that better uses the TE. So it is what it is in my eyes, they got a 3rd round pick for him now instead of losing him after next season and not getting anything for him. 5. I like that we resigned Double A. We know what we get with him and he is servicable. What i would like to see from here on out: 1. I think we need to resign Olin, even though his play is not what it once was. He knows the system and calls, and is a great leader 2. I say give a run at Cullen Jenkins 3. More olinemen- im not sure who is still out there but there has to be somebody better then what we got right now.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Gholston look at his pre draft numbers, 40 time 4.55, Bench 37 reps, vert 41 inches. 6'3 266. Does anyone know what type of shape he is in now? He reminds me of Feeney as far as size and speed. I know he was a beast at OSU when playing DE. Lets pray that moving him to OLB is the reason he didnt perform well. If he still has the speed and quickness he displayed in college he could be good in our scheme. If this guy could turn it around by putting his hand in the dirt again this could be huge for the Bears. Dude has some pipes too!! http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view...umb=GZZoMtJAaM4

anyone know how much???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg9LSL_nRqU...feature=related when is the last time you saw one of our WR's do that on bump and run coverage? Big Wr's that can run are hard to come by.
-
At least they are trying to get better, Cutler did well with a big fast WR in Marshal. Williams did well with Martz before. As stated before he knows the Martz system. IT should not be overlooked how important that is. I think everyone can agree that Williams has issues. But where can we find a WR that has size, speed and knows the system we use??? Hopefully Williams is fired up and wants to prove that he is a Pro Bowler and not the player he have seen of late. Hopefully the Bears are working on some Oline guys now.

Why are they not releasing who the player is???!!!!!!!

Player and draft pick, player not named
