I think you have this forum confused with the English language forum where they talk about spelling all day . Now that I know that bothers you. This forum talks about football, stay focused. -

I'm on my tablet in Cabo right now and my tablet keeps changing words and I'm tired of going back and changing it. You can write to Samsung directly and complain that it bothers you. ' I'm sure they respect people with your intelligence giving them feedback. -
I'm glad to see you're over a thousand posts, you add so much to conversation. Keep up the good work.

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?

Obviously I lean one way, but have said many times, I would be all in on Williams or whoever Poles decides to take. If you've going to be critically of someone, you should pay attention more, but of course that doesn't fit your narrative. -

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?

I reported something I read, none of that has anything to do with my opinion. Same as with Justin, I didn't author anything, I share stories. -
If you improve the coaching staff and improve the talent, the only way we're getting worse is if he picks a rookie QB and has a Bryce Young type year. The team will be better, so there's no way Flus is getting fired.

Which Rookie QB should we draft to replace Fields?

That's because it's true. -
That seems accurate from what I've seen on X. I suspect it's fans liking Justin for being a tough kid, great leader and work ethic. Fans always like great traits for any player. They think he can get better with a better coach and more weapons. Why not.

That's who I was referring to, didn't explain that very well.

Heard some great reviews from former USC players, Brendan Rice/WR and Marshawn Lloyd/RB. They said Williams was a great leader and good teammate. Now just like Fields friends on the team , you have to take their opinions with a grain of thought, first time I heard that about Williams. -
I think we got lucky with so many coaches being fired and good coaches becoming available. Poles and Flus did a great job ( on paper) of adding talent to the coaching staff. The coaches from Seattle, not expected, the coaches from Tennessee, not expected and Tom Brown from Carolina.

I think our OTs are set but think we will draft a mid round swing tackle to keep adding to the OL. Also add another guard, we have to continue building the line. Nate Davis didn't play well but he was consistently an above average player. With his mom's death behind him and his previous OL coming to the team, his level will rise his money is guaranteed for this year, we're not cutting him.

I very well know your position on Fields and Flus, you have a well thought out argument for your opinion. What ever your last post is, it's just repetitive language and I'm not going to read it. It's quite simple, I think Fields can improve and if Poles goes that way that means he does to. If he drafts Williams, im all in on that also, it's okay to like all of his options, I don't need to pick a lane. Here's what I would like to see happen: We trade back to 3 (NE) and still draft MHJ , he is, by many considered the top player in the draft. Get a second round pick( 34), and a first next year. At 9 we trade back with LV, to 14, get a second round pick (44) and a second round next year. We draft Jared Verse with pick 14. In the second round at pick 34 we draft Bo Nix and with pick 44 we get Jackson Powers-Johnson . We run back with Justin and develop Bo Nix. We improved our WR room, edge and OL, plus have a very successful rookie QB to develop. I know the odds aren't good that he becomes a tier 1 QB but it does happen sometimes. In 2025 we have 2 first round picks, 3-- 2 nd round picks and we could still go after another QB if things aren't working out. We will have a winning season next year, if you want to move on from Fields at that time , he could be part of the move up to get a higher pick. Lots of assumptions in this scenario but there are assumptions when you take a first pick QB also but now you have MHJ and a stellar OL to work with, and a top 5 defense.

I agree odds if us getting him are slim.

On paper the acquisitions are impressive. The fist hires they made were being as rookie GM and Coach. Now they are systemically putting a plus group of coaches together. That tells us this is a good situation to come to and that Flus is obviously not a lame duck coach. With the new OL hire does that mean Arron Brewer might be considered as a new center?

Just heard a glowing report on Jackson Powers-Johnson by a former scout from Ourlads draft site. He said he's the best OL at the senior bowl. Has great size and experience. On GB draft report he is ranked. # 55. Could he be a second round pick if we get one by way of trade.

PFF idea of being linked to Bears is their opinion on a free agent being picked up by the Bears because they have a need. I do like the idea of Samuel. His best year was 77-851-3, he has 4.31 speed. Mooney best year was 81-1055-4 and has 4.38 speed. If you bring him back, he won't be expensive where any of somewhat successful free agents will be. Marquees Brown has had better years than Samuel with better speed, 4.27. He will cost around the same as Samuel, we should consider him.
-
The other option in that scenario is to sit him for a year, Fields contract expires , if he balls out, you tag him if you want or you have the Mahomes-Smith situation. You could tag him and still trade him for compensation. Plus Justin always misses a few games, you can see what you have. He missed 4 games this year Sitting for a year has worked out for many teams. KC, GB, Jalen Hurts only started 4 games his first year because of injury.

When someone said you only think in absolutes, they weren't wrong.

Who is the next Tank Dell, pick 66 and Puma Nacua, pick 177? Every draft has them type of finds.
-
The point I made ( it's not the same old Bears) that you claim because he stuck with Flus and may keep Fields, that that is mediocrity. He will make the best choice for the future and it might be picks and Justin. I think we win with either choice but you don't allow that that is possible unless we draft a high pick QB. So if he gets rid of Fields and drafts Williams then it fails? Your answer to that? If Justin plays well somewhere else? Neither of us know how it turns out , I am allowing all options to work out.

Since Poles took over, he's not grouped in the past, he clearly has a different vision than past regimes. It may end up having the same results but not taking the same path. The last regime had an offensive coach, a top 2 picked QB and we only got one good year out of it. Now many fans want to do the same thing that got everyone fired, new coach, new QB ( top pick). BUT now everyone says repeating the past will have new results and claim it's different. What's different is Poles sticking with a coach he thinks will be successful and ( maybe) allowing a QB to fully develop instead repeatedly continuing the cycle of our past. I'll trust him to make the right decisions whether it's Williams or Fields, or a surprise pick. Poles fixed the cap hell and draft assets in 2 years and now people say he doesn't know what he's doing because he doesn't do what they want. I'm not one of them. He will do the right choice.
-
If it's obvious to the rest of the league, how are we going to get a great trade offer? I'm not disagreeing with you entirely, I'm suggesting that Poles may not have your opinion and values a bunch of draft capital And roll one more year with Justin. Also could draft a QB prospect.
-
Everything you stated is true but Poles is not building a team to just be competitive. No one thinks that way. He's doing things his way and it may not follow your plans
