  1. I seen sources that stated Getsy fired, still need to verify it but, happy if it's true.
  2. I agree with that, they either clean house or keep everyone, I want them to bring in a new OC and thinking no one will take that job is short sighted. It's probably more of an elevation of a QB coach that want to call plays, there's 32 of them in the league, former OCs or coaches that want a second chance to prove themselves. They won't have a problem if they do that.
  3. Hindsight is a great equalizer, at the time Watson was the prize, several experts were in on MT , only a few on Mahomes. Trying to evaluate college QBs is obviously very difficult because so many teams screw it up. College stats are nice but they are not end all for evaluating QBs , most have great stats in college. 80% of experts had Young as being better than Stroud. Going to teams with good coaches matters just as much. Had Mahomes came to the bears in 2017, he would never be this good. Listening to the radio everyone is wondering why they haven't announced why they haven't told the press that their keeping Flus. He has a contract, they don't need to tell everybody. The only announcement will be FIRED. Of which doesn't appear to be happening. If you want him fired, the writing is on the wall, he's not being fired, like it or not, Poles seems to be concentrating on building the team. He's resigning fringe players to future contracts and preparing his college evaluation. Someone stated he maybe waiting for a Harbaugh or high end signing which could happen that would take time. I have no problem with an upgrade in coaching but a reset is an admission that Poles plan is failing and I don't think he thinks that. Flus appears to be coming back.
  4. Poles just doesn't look at things like fans do . Unless you are highly successful, you always have 1/2 the fan base that wants change. He constructed a plan to turn the franchise to winning ways, he never said that would only take 2 years. He has upgraded the roster in his first two years, and he got a 5 year contract, so he thinks it's a 5 year plan. If he thinks Flus can rally a team to a constant state of winning he's going to keep him. Remember, he hired him. It's pretty simple his plans are not complete yet.
  5. Obviously I don't agree with most his opinions but viewing the NFL from inside the room, he was in NO and Chicago as part of the team. He shows you something we don't normally have privy to. Not a very good talker .
  6. Those are good points that will be in Poles evaluation.
  7. Did anyone here listen to the Josh Lucas interview on the SCORE? He was an assistant to Ryan Pace. He said if they were going to fired it will happen with in 48 hours of the end of the season. That ends tonight. He said the only way that would change was if someone they liked became available and decided to upgrade the position. Example: Vabrel got fired today and Poles wants him instead. A similar situation as the Cubs manager change. Lucas also said that fans are emotional but the relationship between Poles and Flus is a lot stronger on the inside of the room that the public doesn't see. Making it a lot harder to change. He said Poles and Flus came into the organization as first time hires and they have a bond of going through challenges together. Poles sees the team improve not the negative outlook of fans. He sees the players having Flus back which is a good trait for a coach. He ties his success with Flus success. If he fires him he sees himself as a failure. Remember he hired him. He also said he thinks there drafting Caleb Williams. Justin is a starting QB but has limited upside where Williams has a higher ceiling. Poles is not going to draft Williams if his intangibles are bad, he's a high character guy. He said they will have a private investigator check him out and one bad report kills that report. He said they may want Maybe instead because of a better investigation report but that work isn't done yet, so no one knows just yet.
  8. It's a very odd situation but if they move on from Flus it's not because of the coaches issues. Everyone of those coaches were on the Colts together and no one got fired. What ever they did just didn't start the minute they became bear assistants. It's usually has come up before. It very could have been accepted in Indy and Poles set rules they broke and not here. That will have nothing to do with it if they fire Flus. If that was the case he would have been let go when the second coach left.
  9. I think they do, like you said constantly creating chaos never stabilized a franchise.
  10. It will this regime 4 years to get the roster where it needs to be. Next year challenge for a playoff game and 2 years for a SB run.
  11. Plumbing my whole life got me a broken body, 2 fake knees, 2 fake hips. 3 herniated discs and a broken neck. Yet I have a nice life. Working out everyday, yoga daily and activity.
  12. Vrabel got fired on the second day of off-season, they didn't seem to think waiting was an advantage to doing it. Maybe Flus gets fired today but the longer it goes the more likely he's going to be here.
  13. I'm not saying he won't be successful but he's not bringing a passing circus with him if he gets the job.
  14. Let just say, IMO , I think he's staying, I'm not a soothsayer , I think signs say stay, God knows I wrong a lot.
  15. Flus spent 9 hours doing exit reviews with players yesterday, does that sound like a job you give someone who's being fired? I don't think he's leaving, hopefully Getsy is gone but you never know. Dave Wannsted thinks everyone is coming back especially after not getting fired yesterday. There's no advantage to waiting to fire coaches, it impedes getting the best talent.
  16. Vangio was running a 3-4 and we were still attacked in the underneath. That's how teams attack good defenses. I don't think the mentality is transferred from different regime to regime. We need a strong 3 T to upset the Apple cart with the short passing game. Dexter may get but isn't yet. For everyone that wants Harbaugh as a coach, did you watch how he won last night? Strong defense, running the ball, play action passing. If anyone thinks he's coming with a KC passing attack is kidding themselves. Not saying he won't adjust, but beware what you ask for. Not saying he can't win.
  17. I agree they need to address the OL but you don't reach for positions. There's. 10 to 15 impact players in this draft. We have several positions to fill, and you need two with our picks. If we only move back 1 or 2 spots we're not getting a Carolina type haul. We got that last year because we moved to 9. A few spots will get a 2 nd this year and maybe next year. Poles may talk someone into a # 1 next year but that's not a given. We may have to move out of the top 10 to get that haul. There's lots of talk about that and many are saying that so its not an original statement. I think he sticks with Braxton at LT but brings in a OT to compete and add depth. We will add a OC ,IMO, in free agency and draft one later in the draft. Another OG to compete and add depth.
  18. Stop using common sense, that's not liked in the sporting World.
  19. If they did that , Poles probably wouldn't be able to take advantage of a trade option, Cunningham knows the true value.
  20. So you hire a person that you know professionally, he ends up having some secret perversion and you have to fire him. That information never ends up on a resume. How is that Flus fault? It could be something as simple as hitting on a girl in the office and she turns you in for sexism at work. Nobody knows the reason, but at least you have standards and dont sweep in under the rug, and over look it.
  21. You can only play the schedule they gave you. We are not a good team, it's going to be year 4 before we can talk like that. Rarely do you ever see 3-14 winning teams win a division's in a second year of a rebuild. There's a process to building a good team, we're not there yet. I get no one likes losing but experts predicted 7 wins and that's where we're at. Next year is the judgement year, no one ever expected year 2.
  22. A great letter, you should write books or something for a living. The problem is this is not going to be Warren's call. Poles will discuss it with him but personnel is Poles job. Warren is a lawyer who did only financials for teams. Poles is actually teaching him the ropes where one day he will take over. He just doesn't have the experience yet but give him a few years you will hear from him a lot more. New owners buy teams and try to run everything and just screw things up. They just don't have experience in day to day operations. Warren and Poles are buddies and will learn together. Poles was running the personnel dept in KC and that's how he was hired, experience in roster development. Probably one day when Warren fires Poles is the day he takes control.
  23. He's coming back, anyone firing their coach wants to get the best talent and waiting and letting other teams negotiate before you get the chance puts you last on everyone's list. Anyone they may want, you have to let know there's a job available. Coaches don't want to back stab other coaches in the back so you have to fire them.
