Our DT position is bad . We have only Blackson and Justin Jones signed for next year. Blackson can be gone for 500 thousand. I would say bye bye. Resign Armon Watts and get all new DTs. My wish is bring in DeRon Payne , Washington is already paying Jonathan Allen 72 mil, there's no way there going to tie that much money in the DT position. Give him 20 A year. Then draft Carter or Bresee and Garvin Dexter.

Agree with everything you said. Other than the int (they count ) he had his best game. 20-25 , running the ball well. I think he is improving every game but he seems to be waiting to long to throw, trying to find a player get open more or looking for one player to throw to. One pass he forced into Claypool , Kmet was running wild open down the middle of the field. I think he just have to trust his WRs better. We were leading the game until 4:43 left in the 4th quarter. Moving down to a scoring position in the two interceptions. It was 19-17 with 2:23 left in the game. We had chances to win that game and then the football Gods stepped in and said they wanted us to have the 2nd pick in the draft. Santos was off all day. The FG was blocked so not sure that was his fault. I cant remember the DL touching Rodgers during the game. They had several pressures. I think Poles adds 4 new DL in the off season. The only ones worth keeping for rotation are Watts and Jones. 2 in free agency and two drafted. Not only are they not getting sacks but they dont keep the edge secure on run plays. To many guys leaving their zone. Quinn wasnt getting sacks but rarely was the edge left wide open when he was here. There is a ton of RBs loose in FA this year, so I think Monty will settle for coming back on a team friendly deal. He's not in Barkley or Josh Jacobs type of money but Kareem Hunt or Jamal Williams lane. Around 6-8 mil a year. Those players are all free agents. He gives a physicality to our running game that Herbert doesnt have. I do a mock draft everyday from PFN and we should be inline for several teams wanting to get a QB, Detroit and Seattle both have the need 2 picks in the first round. They keep winning so their picks are moving lower in draft position but both have the Rams and Broncos picks that will be aligned right behind us. The Panthers have picks 5-39-58-89. The Saints have 36-71-106. The Panthers have Brian Burns a 24 yr old DE that has 10 sacks this yr. So Burns, 5-39-89-107 and a second next yr? Unless the Saints are willing to give up Olave, they dont have enough fire powe. We have options but I dont want to drop to far back in the top 10. Sanborn is averaging 12 tackles a game which , if he started all year , would lead the league in tackles. The leading tacker is Rahaan Evans at 10 a game.

As I was seeing what was available, I looked them up. The RB Achane had 4.27 speed and thought he would be a T Cohen type. 5.8 , 179. Without digging deeper, I was going with speed guys mainly, only watched tape on a few. The trades part of it would never happen. I tink I did 4.

I did a draft on PFN and traded as best I could and ended up with this. 10. Bryan Bresee DT Clemson 20. Tyree Wilson EDGE Texas Tech 34. Rashee Rice WR SMU 42. Gervon Dexter DT Florida 53. Darnell Wright OT Tennessee 56. Andre Carter II EDGE Army 65. Jalin Hyatt WR Tennessee 73. Devon Achane RB Texas A&M 101. Isaiah Land LB Florida A&M 131. Luke Musgrave TE Oregon State 133. Nehemiah Pritchett CB Auburn 156. Olusegun Oluwatimi OC Michigan 2024 ATL 1st 2024 ATL 2nd

I wanted us to win but was happy we lost.

I watched highlight films for Carter and Anderson, and one where a dude viewing them. I think I agree with him on questions about Anderson transforming to the NFL. I would choose Carter. I will say that Anderson has much better stats than Parsons had in college but Parsons did have a lot more wow plays. Anderson 4.34 40 time, Parsons 4.39 40 time Parsons is 10 lbs heavier than Anderson. *2019 Penn State Big Ten SO LB 13 52 57 109 1

I think Carter was a LT in college not sure he ever played OC in college. I would just let him play the last few games instead of Whitehair , they know what they have in Whitehair. Just heard on the radio that Justin was a full practice on the field today. I think he's going to play.

I think he's next in line anyways, they are forced to. They invested money in him, so go for. He started for one year in LV, was the worst pass blocking OT in the league that year. He has all the measurements so its just getting his mental part of the game right. If he ends up turning things around, it was a great move by Poles and one spot we won't need to fill in the off-season. If not , he only wasted money of which he created a lot of it for next year.

In the 2021 draft there are GMs that took Zack Wilson, Troy Lance, and Mac Jones. Dont know anything about the QBs this yr but those are 3 they thought would be stars and I would say none of them have shown that yet. There is still time, but I would think Poles goes with what is a better prospect that is on his team right now. He could trade back farther and still get the top OL and WR on the board, but hope he goes for the top 2 players in the draft plus gets some extra picks.

To get one of the two stud defensive players we cant drop below 4. If we want to get a (draft a QB) haul we need 2 or 3 slot. The injuries should help us be bad but when Justin comes back, he is capable of breaking a game for us to win. Maybe we can maintain draft position with one more win but that would be about it.

As of now our (IMO) Blue Chip players Justin Fields, Claypool on O. Soon to be Mooney, Kmet, Jenkins, Herbert. I like Monty a lot but not sure you would put him quite in that category. On defense EJ, J Johnson, Soon to be Brisker and Gordon. I think Sanborn and J Jones will be starters next yr but not sure they are considered blue chip. I think we add 3 during the FAgency period and hopefully draft 2-3.

I find it interesting that D Leonard and Sanborn both are 4.7 40s guys.

Pringle is just now getting on the field and will have some games to prove his worth. I will say he had two outstanding catches in the Jets game. That was encouraging. Also they started giving Claypool some targets and I liked what I seen in D Evans, much better than Ebner. Being a third round pick, Jones is still going to get a shot to prove his value, his value may be lousy, but its been such a small sample size, he still has time. If I remember Cordelle Patterson didnt catch on right away and had to make several stops before he found his groove as a first round pick. At least V. Jones was only a third round if he ends up busting. Mooney and Claypool is a good start. They will add a high pick WR and then I think ESB, V Jones and Pringle will be brought back.

With all the gifts Pace gave us, that would have been a team killer if we got Wilson. That is why I think Poles has did a good to put us in a good cap situation and actually have a first round draft pick this yr. The pick being so high this yr is just a product of reworking the roster and being bad this yr. BUT their is only two games we havent been in until the end, that's not bad.

I think they already know Borom will never be a competent starter and that's why they have Reiff playing. Being Leatherwood had mono maybe his strength just isnt up to par yet. The fact Poles invested some money in him, I expect to see him probably after the bye. As far as the OL going forward I think he sticks with Jones at LT, Whitehair stays at LG and Jenkins will still be here at RG. I think Poles brings in a vet OC, preferable Pocic and a draft pick to compete with Leatherwood at RT. Carter I think is being groomed to take over for Whitehair but that is probably 1 and 1/2 yrs away. The biggest trait with young players is the necessity to get stronger and that goes for Jones to. Poles prospects may all turn to crap but I think its going to take next yr to prove their value or replace.

My comments were not directed at anyone specific, I have not did an all 22 on him, is he busting every time he has to cover anyone? How often has he been in coverage? I get the weakness but Im not sure MLB covers slot WR a lot to began with. I noticed him miss a couple of routes, but seen him in the way of some completions to. I just watched the Jets game highlights,(limited plays) he missed one coverage but two that were slants that came over the middle looked like it was the SSs coverage area and not his. He had limited coverage snaps. In the defense were running now, they say the weakness is the flats zones.

They say the good teams have 10-12 blue chip players and fill the roster with rookies, FAs and UDFAs. The cap limit restricts teams from buying lots of blue chip players and a good draft if lucky will get you 2 or 3 a year. Jack Sanborn had a chance to play and is playing above average in a poor defense. I think as you surround him with better players that will make him play better not worse. I dont think he ever goes to the pro bowl but he can maintain high end play going forward. Every good team has (good football players) that may not fit the elite measurements, that does not mean they dont have value. I think he is capable of leading the league in tackles, and not sure why people think that isnt a big deal. The playmakers get the big paychecks, of which Sanborn could fall into . In 4 starts he has 48 Ts, 1 FF, 2 sacks, 3 TFL and 3 QB hits. That are not the stats of a average NFL LBer. Bobby Wagner ( consensus all pro) in the last 4 games has 39 Ts, 1 sack and 1 PD. Not sure why so many people are saying, he's playing well (but) He needs to finish the yr and if he continues his high level, he will be the starter next yr. We have other holes to fill we dont need to worry about his MLB spot for now.

An interesting tidbit, since Sanborn took over for Roquan, he's the leading tackler in the league. What I like is the most of his tackles are in front of him, not behind him.

Since losing is an advantage to us now, going forward, Poles gets to evaluate the rest of the roster as people get hurt. That is not a bad thing. Hopefully Mooney and EJ are short term injuries. I would still like to see us beat the packers next week even thou that hurts our slot.
