No way any of these scenarios actually happens.

We have to expand the offense to feed 3 productive WRs, 2 TEs and RBs, V Jones . You bring in a rookie hat will just tip over the apple cart. This off season will allow our existing players time to acclimate to Justin Fields. You draft JSN, this year it will be bad value as the 4 th WR . you need 9 th pick to start.
-
I totally thinks he trades back 3-10 spots, unless Carter or Wilson drop to 9. Anywhere from an extra early 2 nd or 3 rd round. Gives us an extra 40 to 64 pick. If we drop 10 spots (TB) , in that range Kancey or Warren comes into play. Maybe Lucas Van Ness is still around. Then 4_more picks in top 64 players. We fill every hole we have left with even a CB throw in the mix. Using Dane Buglers top 100 19- Warren- RT 50-J M Schmitz- OC 53-Tuli Tuipulotu- edge 61-A Adwbawore-3T 64-Julius Brents- CB
-
Obviously we could use upgrades, IMO, RT and DT are the spots we fill that is the floor of being able to get by with. Close third is Edge. With 4 top 64 picks, I think we fill all all neediest spots. I think another CB will be brought in but I think we can get by with current personnel.

I find it interesting that a player that didn't play much last year is getting such high acclaim. Isn't there some injury questions? Especially top 10. I don't think he goes top15.
-
It's not Headline material but does help the team get better. Plus Green and Walker are versatile position players. Remember that on draft day. Deon White Lucas Van Ness Tuli Tuipulotu
-
Its upgrades the rotational players. Still need a stud Edge and DT. Draft time will fix that.
-
We acquired two WRs this season by trade. Why go after Moore instead of getting another first round pick thrown into the deal, if you were going to draft a possible stud at 9? That's because their not using that pick on a WR. We don't run 4 WR sets very often. So one of the good assets is going to be a backup. That was never his intention. He's not drafting a WR at 9.
-
Other than draft one stud on the DL, I wouldn't have any problem is all his 4 th round and higher were all OL picks. 4 OL 1 DL 2 OTs, 1 OG, and 1 OC. Of course to get the stud on DL it would have to be the first pick. Lucas Van Ness Cody Mauch Blake Freeland Joe Tippmann Wanya Morris That's how important I think the OL is this year. Obviously he will have to hit free agency again with Poona Ford Yannick Ngakoue

I don't think if we take Skronoski with the 9th pick is a bad idea. Put him at RT this year and figure it out next year. As for right now Jenkins and Davis are our plum players on the OL. But there could be lingering Questions about Jenkins health issues. So Skon could be moved there if health injuries continue for Jenkins. Try to fix it and readdress it next year. ,You can't plan injuries.

I think that is what Poles is doing. He valued McG at a certain value ,over paying for a very average RT is not good long term for a franchise. Its hard for me to be highly critical 2 months into his second season on the job. Tell me what you would had did different is first year?
-
Overall I agree with you, best players should be playing. Both of those projected players we would be lucky to get, and are better than Jones, maybe. I think the Jones pick is the signature move Poles will be looked back on the beginning of him being a good GM. I think he lets the Jones experiment go one more year then will do what's right to correct it if he needs to. What ever OT he brings in will play RT this year and then move to LT next if needed. I think people let their ego get in the way sometimes but Jones was a successful move so far. It still has a year to prove itself. If I remember he was ranked the 19th best OT this year by PFF. Not bad for a 5th round pick. He has a Long way to go but the arrow is pointing up.

Actually they did try to fix the OL right out from the start. This new regime isn't responsible for the wasted first year under Pace. Poles offered more money to both Brian Allen and the Rams LT ( can't remember his name) they both stayed with the SB champs.. Then they tried to get Ryan Bates and that failed. To say they didn't do enough is correct but they did try. They brought in new WRs but none of them were successful. My point is they tried to help the offense in his first year, but it didn't work out. Poles came in having to evaluate what was already here , Fields also. Jenkins, Borom, there wasn't A lot of high level starters already in place. In the draft he took BPA and is going to use that theory going forward. Good GMs do that. No way he thought we could be successful in one year. He is roster building with 3 years in mind.
-
My point was I don't think Poles is doing that, I would love to get PJJ and Mauch in this draft. Not draft 3 OL in your first 4 picks. If you're a GM and you got a 5th round pick that played way above expectations, he ain't throwing that move away in his second year. He may not be the LT but he's starting one of those spots. Say that happens, he would try Mauch at center spot in that scenario. None of these OTs this year are considered blue chip pro Bowl types anyway. Maybe above average 10 year starters which would still be great draft picks. Skronoski is a considered a blue chip prospect but not as a OT.
-
I don't see any way we draft OL with 3 out of our first 4 picks. Cody Mauch can play OC. We have two above average OGs now and Braxton Jones is one of our tackles. An OT, Edge, DT, maybe CB, maybe RB, maybe another DL. I think pick 103 will land us a OC. Stromberg, O O, are in that range.

Bijan Robinson could be in play there for someone needing a RB.
-
I would say that 2 visits means they are thinking about it and want to get more info to solidify that decision. If he had a bad attitude or bad work ethics they wouldn't bother with another visit.
-
How many and who are your sure things in this draft? ( be potential pro Bowl type players) not QBs Anderson--Carter-- Skoronski--Robinson--Weatherspoon Tier 1 Murphy--Wilson--Gonzalez--JSN Tier 2. ( very close but ?) If Poles goes BPA , Is he going to pick JSN, Nick Weatherspoon or Bijan Robinson? I don't think Skoronski will play OT in the NFL I'm totally against Robinson or JSN because we have added assets in those positions groups but they may be BPA at 9. Poles stated he will not get all positions upgraded his year so does he go true BPA at 9. Foreman is on a one year deal, and Claypool may be gone after this year. Weatherspoon will put us in the position to not have to sign JJ to a big contract. You could make the case for Skoronski and play him at OT for this year or they move Jenkins to RT. The more I read the more I think 9 may not be in the trenches.

Georgia draft? Jalen Carter Broderick Jones Nolan Smith Darnell Washington Kelee Ringo Christopher Smith Kenny McIntosh Warren McClendon Not sure which draft would be better off.
-
I'm sure that's agent talk. If Poles is taking 2 interviews , there must be some thought to want to pick him. I trust them to make the right decision. Hard work and loving football are important. If they don't see that, they won't draft him.
-
Didn't know that, clearly would matter if taken in the top. 10. Jalen Carter is making a second visit to the bears. If he's available, they will take him. Getting the top rated player in the draft at 9 is huge . Of course there's risk but I trust Poles to make the right call.
-
One of the bears scouts at the combine was interviewed by a reporter and said the Bears liked 2 OCs better than Schmitz. Not sure who but Avila, Stromberg, Wypler and Tillman all got attention from the bears.
-
Poles takes shots with these type of players Harry, Leatherwood hoping one will hit but rarely do they. They are usually cheap additions with good traits but I doubt if counts on them to make major contributions. I would say if one hits of that group , Piles would be happy. Akim Hicks was that type of find that happens once in awhile.

The way I see it is Eisien and Carter are the backup OGs, which means Patrick could be odd man out. Especially if he drafts a center.
