Since Poles got here he got rid of some big contracts, acquired draft capital. Gave of cap space. He now has rebuilt the DB group and WR room. He's going to redo the OL and front 7 . It's going well.
-
I always use PFN, they have a few misplaced players but have adjusted their big board several times.
-
Good call.

Poles is going to tell us if you're right on Monday. With the drop to pick 9 , we may be drafting our RT and use free agency money at OC and DT. Moore has to be considered a free agency get so he will be only adding INE more big contract. I'm calling right now he brings in a lower graded OT Andre Dillard and drafts our RT at 9. If Jalen Carter drops that statement is retracted.
-
Eric Edholm just came out with a top 100 draft ranking. At 9 Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones come into play. Also we could still pick Murphy or Van Ness at that point. At 54-64 you have Derrick Hall, Cody Mauch, or A A. Poles is a magician to now be able to set his drat board early and will use FAgency to fill in around that.
-
He's a number 1 WR that we needed. Plus this year his cap hit is 20, then 16 and 16. That's a very good scenario for a # 1. We have a lot of money this year to cover the 20 mil
-
We got DJ Moore instead, I'm good. I suspect they offered the high 2 nd and Poles asked for Moore instead.
-
Trading back makes sense for us but what player will a team want at 9? Hopefully Carter drips to 9 and we get to make that decision.
-
I said that but instead of giving them 39 they gave them 61. They will be drafting a WR to grow with the new QB. I like being wrong when it helps our team.
-
A perfect fit for this team. Can play the slot and outside.
-
I read he wasn't A good run blocker but that grading blows up my ( go out and sign) Taylor comment. That only leaves bringing in Brown in free agency even at 22 mil a year.
-
Just woke up, great news. Getting them to throw in DJ Moore was the get. At 9 they still could get Carter , as he could slip that far because of his off field news. Picking 54, 61, and 65 is a sweet spot in the draft. Plus, don't need to draft a WR high.

https://247sports.com/nfl/chicago-bears/ContentGallery/Aaron-Lemings-Chicago-Bears-2023-mock-offseason-206017430/ This is an off-season mock by Aaron Fleming. I like most of it , not McG for RT thou.
-
That's just a sports journalist's opinion, they have no inside information. No way Poles is targeting McG, not at a big contract anyway. McGary is a little better but also needed help all the time. It's about money. Taylor is the only one that merits a big contract but that's not a sure thing. At least he excels in pass protection. He may surprise us with a small contract for Andre Dillard and then draft RT to fight for a starter spot. He's going to not over pay for mediocre talent.

Read a lot of stuff on McGlinchey . Can't handle speed or power rushers. Because of Trent Williams on the left side, they always gave McG help, it made him not noticeable at being bad. The rookie Robinson beat him twice in his first game against SF.

Like all those names, I prefer AA to Kancey. PFN is the one I always use. Had one draft where I ended up with Anderson, Carter and 4 first round draft picks. Got Tuli Tuipulotu, Steve Avila, A T Perry, Tyler Spears, Luke Schoonmaker , Karl Brooks, Wanya Morris, Jartavius Martin. Dorian Williams. Made about 5 trades and loaded on 50 to 110 picks.
-
That draft has a lot of juice. Kancey and AA are repetitive gets but who cares, Flus rotates DL 60-40, the more is better. In the mocks I do Wayan Morris/ OT falls between picks 90 to 110, A good spot to grab a OT.

Trench warfare has Seumalo ranked as solid starter, next Risner. Powers is ranked as below average starter at 6_th IOL.
-
Correct, build inside out.
-
I signed up for trench warfare. Ill see if I can link it for everyone to see. He has Taylor as the highest rated RT and Dalton Risner as the second best LG. Pocic is the second best OC available. Bozeman is first but said will stay in Carolina. If we signed those 3 its not going to be a top 5 OL but could get to the tip half of the league.

Poles wants to get a trade done before Free agency because he needs to set his board. For example, if he can't sign Jawaan Taylor, then he needs to pick a RT with a high pick. If he doesn't sign Dremont Jones, he needs to place himself in position to get a high level DT. The draft board will be formed to draft what he didn't get in Free agency. There are no # 1 s in FAgency and only a potential few in the front of the draft at WR. I think the Claypool signing was his get. He will add a few WRs but I doubt its in the front of the draft.
-
If they wait and plan on getting rid of Whitehair next yr , with new teammates, might as well do tit this year, so line can grow together.. A post June 1 cut nets 9.9 in additional cap space . put Jones and Jenkins with vets Dalton Risner, Ethan Pocic and Jawan Taylor . Draft a Steve Avila to take over at IOL if someone fails. Draft a Wanya Morris to groom for OT. Line finished.

Just resigned Blasingame to 2 years.
-
It's all fantasy football until they do it. Might as well shoot high.
-
Because of more information, I have to change McGary to Jawann Taylor.
