I think all of this information was all based on the OTAs , where he was there but not participating. I dont know the length of recover for his surgery but it will only matter in a few weeks. Someone coming off of surgery is going to taken cautiously until training camp. Just people just trying to find something to write about.

This is going to be such a revelation of Bears offense going forward. We have something special going to occur this year and might as well get positive about the ride. We look at the last two yrs and question everything, but all of that will go away. Pace simultaneously have fixed the Oline, QB position, RB and WR depth. We are about to happen. We question this because of the mistakes that Pace has had, but he has also had some wins.

According to (experts) they are both #2 RBs but I think both could finish top 12. In one league last year I ended up with McCaffery and Michel Thomas making me think I would easily make the playoffs. Both failed. You never know how things work out.

In going to keep David Montgomery lose my 5th and Antonio Gibson and loss my 9th.

Being aggressive and more physical will help this line a great deal. The same way Olin Kreutz amd Kyle Long use to give the line an attitude. I watched every video on Teven when he got drafted. Worth the effort.

Bears rookie QB Justin Fields training with Deshaun Watson
Stinger226 replied to Bill's topic in Bearstalk
Obviously there is a huge upgrade of talent in the NFL but he has the athleticism to succeed. The difference of Fields is his intelligence. There was a IQ test related to qbs studied over the last 12 yrs of qbs going to the NFL. He scored the highest of any QB in those 12 yrs. Tests don't usually figure in intangibles, of which he has. I will go out on the limb and say he does the best of all the rookies. Lots of variables go in to success of qbs, I think he has everything. Nagy and his staff is perfect to develop this type of prospect. Didn't work with Tru because he didn't score high on that same IQ testing I mentioned. I think second on that test was Mahomes. As far as reading defenses, he's second coming out of college with percentage of hitting his second reads on pass plays. I think that will be no problem. -
Bears rookie QB Justin Fields training with Deshaun Watson

3 things for me that make a football player successful. Love football, has football IQ and works hard. He seems to have all of that. I think he will be the next great qb in the NFL. Plays hurt, very smart and is athletic. Good combo. The best thing is he's a Bear. -
In Illinois, I get on the Betrivers site. They give you double your money to join, or did when I joined anyway. The funny thing is , I use to win money playing FF, but am lousy at it now , but the last 3 yrs have been winning gambling on football which I never did In the past. Never drank heavy or got into drugs but love gambling. I guess everyone has a vice, that would be mine. I take 500 every year and gamble with it for football season and smart enough to quit if I lose, but been lucky the last 3 yes on betting on football.

Last year I won 100 on the bears over 7.5 wins. Will be doing the same this year to.

As much as they have a tough schedule., going into last yr, I thought we would lose to SF, Pit, TB, and Buff. We didnt, I am not sure projections from yr to yr can be consistent. I could take a safe guess and say 8-9 or 9-8 but I prefer to state what I believe that they will do better than that. I am one of those people , right or wrong , always give my honest opinion. Now, injuries always come into play but as of now, 12-5, also I am basing my projections on Rodgers been gone from GB. May not happen.

He was back in Chicago working out as noted by Daniel Greenberg on Twitter. He is good to go. (yesterday)

For everybody that doesn't understand why he opted out last yeat, his wife had a health issue and he had a newborn I believe was born early. His wife already had a couple miscarriages because of her health problems, he was trying to play it safe.

I think because of a lack of the unknown, lots of stories floating around. Travathan has talked to him and said he's coming back. Good enough for me.

I can see possible 12 if Fields starts the season in game 1. I think we have a very good roster and are under estimating their value. Pace upgraded OL, RB, WR, and QB. The front 7 on D is top 5. The only question is back of D, I think we're good.

https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/chicago-bears-53-man-roster-projection Here is a roster projection that I mainly agree with but for a few exceptions. I dont think they keep Foles, as much as they have to pay him, they will need the roster spot. They show us keeping Nall, but why? Lots of talent in this group , they will need the roster spot. I think they dont keep Joel Iggy and instead keep Josh Woods, a better ST player. The extra two roster spots go to S Jordon Lucas and another CB in Duke Shelly. Both play STs and Shelly could be starting at NB with Vidor or Trufant starting at the other CB spot opposite Johnson.

Ya, I'm in , haven't been good for awhile but one of these I might get lucky .

Whether you like PFF or not , their info allows you some measures. Since PFF starting keeping track of deep throwing of QBs, Fields has the highest rating EVER in this stat. Not PFF but another body on testing, Fields ( not wonderlic) has the highest rating EVER on a QBs rating for being the smartest QB coming out of college. We have a special player and he will prove himself going forward, get ready for a fun ride along the way as Fields develops into a great QB.

I think with the pending extension for Daniels and Smith, AROB may be odd man out. If everyone jells as planned, you also are going to have pay Mustifry and Nichols. I think if Mooney plays well they make that decision on AROB.and Mooney becomes out #1.

Fuller was a good player but was not great in 2020. It's like Jackson, you compare to his best yr, but last yr. If Trufant stays healthy he can have a Fuller 2020 yr with no problem. What we need is Jackson to step up. Continuity with safeties being the same guys should help jump start a good yr out of our DBs. I totally agree with your other comments.

They thought they has a comer so they extended him then he plateaued. Just didn't get better. A great 7th round value but they should have replaced him like you said.

I agree its a big unknown with Jenkins, but we knew what Leno was and another yr older, I did not see him being better, he is the definition of average. I think a rookie will make mistakes but his mistakes will help him get better, Leno was just Leno. I think it will even out between regular Leno and a rookie making mistakes. History does tell you how hard those positions are but in the last few yrs we are starting to see that change. Burrows, Hebert, Murray, Josh Allen, Minshew. They all had decent first yrs. As far as LTs only a few played decent. If Jenkins rates close to Leno on service ability, its a win.

Nagy gets to prove himself this year. I think he now has the tools to run his offense. I always think the best coaches are the ones that adapt to their players not force a system on them. This yr will explain a lot about our coach. He has made a lot of mistakes along the way but has a winning record over 3 yrs. I think he deserves some credit for keeping the players playing hard.
-
I think a rookie with Fields talent is a step above what we had last year. LT is open for a discussion but Leno was the definition of average. I would rather have a rookie with talent than the prospects of Leno being a yr older average play.
-
They have Wilkinson backing him up there right now. He was a starter for Denver last year on the RB spot but has played on the LT spot before. Probably more of a swing tackle than a starter. I think if they do not bring anyone else in, they will have Alex Bars taking some stamps at left. Having him be able to play any position on the Oline would be huge for his value on the team. He Played a few games at C and RG last year. Did a decent job.
