  1. I've seen @Deersview on twitter before but never viewed NewWave stuff before. Is it just me or from last year to this year is there just more Bears content out there? Every season I always try to catch all the Bear content I can find, but is there more now? Or am I just paying attention more?
  2. I think Poles has already made offers to these players but they are not on the same page. Offering Ngakoue a one yr contract will not upset the culture but like you said, there may be team culture issues we dont know about. He's not buying anyone that doesnt do max effort all the time.
  3. New GM: Mike Gretsy Raynordoorguy@gmail.com
  4. By the end of training camp we will know what we have at edge, or I should say, what we dont have. Walker is probably a good # 2 rusher with one stud rusher of which we dont have. May get some sacks from Rasheen Green but the unanswered question is what we get from Gipson and Robinson. Obviously with 4 new DTs to the squad, there should be some game from the middle but not enough to create a presentable DL. As we have seen in the past, Poles places a value on a player and wont go over that. He showed interest in McGlinchey but at 17.5 mil a yr and 35 mil guarantee that wasn't going to happen. He has a set value for Ngakoue and Houston. I dont think he backs off of their value he gives them. I appreciate him being patient and avoiding wasting money on free agency but Ngakoue could push our DL into the middle of ratings. I wouldnt mind him giving him a 12 mil one yr deal. He made 13 mil last yr.
  5. Just seen where Danielle Hunter just signed a one year deal to stay in Minnesota.17 guaranteed and potential 20 with incentives. He had a yr left so not sure if this is an added yr or just threw out his current contract.
  6. So is the rise of D'Anthony Jones and Terrell Lewis going to defer us from making an add at edge? We still need to see what players do with pads on. We are getting a lot of positive vibes from players we have in camp. DJ Moore and Justin are on the same page and will go along way to pushing Justin into a higher passing bracket. Besides having competent WRs in Mooney and Claypool, V. Jones and T Scott add a speed element greater than our top Wrs. Going friom last yrs WR room to what we have going now is amazing what Poles got accomplished in one yr. I would love if we could pick up Dannielle Hunter, that would be the cherry to top of a successful offseason. I know there are a lot of questions but it sure does look good from this point in time.
  7. Pads will tell the story but I think we wont know the truth until the season starts. Darnell Wright was doing the wrong off season program. Somehow he got the WR program for working out and his fitness test was over the roof good. He's down to 328.
  8. When Poles was interviewed and talked about the contract, he stated Kmet has did everything the right way. I think he was referring back to Roquan not doing it the right way as far as wanting the biggest contract for ILB. He will offer JJ X number of dollars and up to JJ up accept it. There are 20 CBs making over 10 mil a yr, and 9 over 15 mil. JJ will be starting at 15 mil. Is Poles going to give him that? Unless JJ gets more wow plays this year, I don't see it. L
  9. As we see other p!ayers improve maybe this year, Borom got better. As Poles upgrades the roster we get better competition. He's definitely in better shape.
  10. It's the time to dream, I'm taking advantage of it.
  11. If the offense goes well and the top 3 Wrs all contribute, I think our first pick will be a pass rusher. Carolina does not look like a top 3 bad team. I think they end up 7-10. If we are successful, we will be picking above 20. Not sure those clicks get us to top 3. Now if Claypool busts out , then maybe that changes but we will still need a edge.
  12. Technically we have Justin for 3 more years before we have to pay him 50 million a year.
  13. After looking at those pics , I just changed my win total from 9 to 12. Change my mind?

Im glad they have that rule because it benefits us. Poles can do something with a couple of third rounders.

Poles is going to talk weds to the press. Someone will ask him about the PUP deal. He's pretty straight forward on stuff.
  16. At 70 , I forget some things temporarily, A bands name, or that football player but I have very defined memories of the day the Bears won in 85. Waśnt it the Dallas game where we took out 3 QBs?

Claypool was reported practicing with Justin this off-season , he got a soft tissue injury and and now he gets questioned for everything. I think the team wanted to be cautious with his injury and then Claypool gets all this negative press. So he said he's all in. There are going to be some injuries but we have depth this year. Their not going to trade Claypool , if he plays well, he's an asset, if he plays poor, he's not worth trading for. We won't know until the end of the year whether it was a good trade or not. He's got talent, he's not the star but a #2 just like Mooney.

I like something Morgan Freeman said once ( if you want racism to go away, just stop talking about. ) . Cunningham, Poles and Warren are all smart people, more than qualified for their jobs. We don't need to mention their black.
  19. I talked to my friend, did you post a link to join the league at the beginning of this post? He has a yahoo account.
  20. I'll get in touch with him tomorrow. I told him about it and he said yes. Told him to get in the forum.

Actually I admire that he isn't signing big contracts for free agents. This year, the only one he paid was Edmunds. If he thinks it's going to be a core player, he may do that. I always seen teams go out in free agency and have a big signing yr and then have most of those signing fail to live up to it. He needs to be sensible because in two yrs Fields will be getting 50 mil a year.
  22. Now it starts, we have to get away from ( this was a 3 win team) and judge them with what we see. The key is Justin , enjoy the ride.

All vets are now hungry enough to commit to a team because they didn't get what they wanted. Dave Wannsted told the story that they signed Charles Haley 8 days before their first game their SB year. Odds are slim but the two names that could help, everyone knows. I would like to think their working on a trade. Minnesota is diving into a rebuilding year and maybe Danielle Hunter could be worked out. We have 2 extra picks, 4 th next year and 2 nd in 2025. Maybe that would work.
  24. Like Mongo said, they may already be here. I think we are a couple short with several yet to develop. Definitely one year away but how does this year play out? The defense slowly gets better, offense ready to shine now. If we can add one double digit sacker, our defense accelerates. Having an easier schedule doesn't hurt either. If we get out of the blocks 3-1 , the handcuffs comes off.
