I honestly think Thayer likes the guy. I have heard him be team sensitive and still gave criticism
-
I dont like this move, but they are very serious about making over this roster. He didnt fit the Oline scheme, and had some health issues. I understand more at what there doing. Let me say, they are not done with changing the roster. There will be some other head scracters before its all done.
-
They say there is a health issure going forward. He missed time the year before so it might be a degeneration problem. Also he has a better chance of catching on with someone now that waiting till training camp.

Here is the new updated list on UDFAs. Joe Sommers/TE/Wisconsin-Oshkosh Roy Robertson-Harris/DE/UTEP Dan Buchholz/G/Duquense Kevin Peterson/LB/OSU John Kling/OT/Buffalo Roy Robertson/DL/UTEP Ben Braunecker/TE/Harvard Don Cherry/LB/Villanova Darrin Peterson/WR/ (Bonus) Mark Sewall/S/Indiana State (tryout) John Kling/OT/Buffalo Alex Hansen/DE/Air Force (invite) Taveze Calhoun/CB/Mississippi State Charlie Dowdle/TE/St. Thomas (invite) Kieren Duncan/WR/CSU-Pueblo (tryout) They keep throwing darts at the board to upgrade the roster. Everybody should remember that Malik Jackson was a 5th round pick and Trevathan was a 6th pick. The point is , you can find guys late in the draft and as Undrafted players.

Heard some more interesting info from Gabriel, the reason they passed on the two Alabama DL was they were looking for DT with more speed. That starts to make alot of sense. Bullard brings more speed than Reed or Robinson. They are all in on speed and being more athletic.I am starting to understand their draft a little more.
-
Lemmings posted on twitter, that they might need the cap space to finish a deal with Jeffery. They will front load a deal to use this year as the big hit.
-
Greg Gabriel is on the score right now and he said some of the problem with Slauson is he doesnt fit the line scheme they are running. They require more athletic types that Slauson, doesnt fit. Also there is some medical history that leads to his future playing time. Also he was brought in from the last regime and they want there guys in to fit what there doing. This makes a little more sense.

Do you think there up to something? I think maybe they have a LT in mind to sign or trade for need the cap space to make the move. Do you think maybe something in the works for Eugene Monroe? They drafted Stanley, you think maybe we plan to trade the 4th round pick we got for next year to Bal. for Monroe? He is not top 10 but at 29, he has several years left.He averages 8.7 mil over the next 3 years
-
There has to be more to the story, I thought he played well last year. At 30 he is not over the hill, I dont mind them releasing the Bennetts and the Marshalls, but Slausson was still productive and a team type guy. I see the younger, faster, but dont get this one.
-
Look at the state of QB in the nfl, he is Easley the top half of the league, dont let your hate view your vision.
-
I see slaossen playing center before whothair., he did well there last year.
-
We actually were up for drafting Spriggs in the second when GB jumped ahead of us to grab him. We tried but at that point you are just grasping for air. If every spot is good but LT, we will just put a 6th body there to help him out, or roll out away from him. I do not know if Leno is any good, but this year we will find out. I heard Thayer rave about him with great potential, so lets see how it pans out.

If we go by last year, most of these new additions will make the roster or practice squad. we all look at this as fillings all our needs but drafting Whitehair, the WVU LB was just adding good players. I have always thought this was a three year rebuild, I think the talent may put us in a position to sniff the playoffs this year, but that is just my optimist, may not be reality. If Nick is good, you may see Freeman go away after this year. Whitehair could be the starter from day one, which means we just have very good depth at the centerline positions. I like the fact he let the draft fall to him. In the second when he fell back, I thought that was bad moves but it got us Bush and Hall, so that may turn into being brilliant moves. We ended up with another Edge player in Robertson-Harris and Braunnecker that could easily have been late round picks. So I think we did well with fillings needs. We didnt draft a QB, so we grab Hoyer. We didnt address the LT spot but Leno may be good enough, if not they can grab a vet to the fill the spot for this year.
-
I think this coaching staff sees what we see. If Leno isnt good enough there is some FAs avaiable than can get us through a year. I still think if Whitehair is good enough, they may try him at LT. His one negative is short arms, but that may still work out. I know they will put the best 5 on the field, and with more options that seems safely to say this will become a strength. Bectin is the backup right now, but lets see how it shakes out. I think all of our picks are not just for this year but our future. Our future line will be ??- Whitehair- Grassu-Long-Fabuluje . Leno could develop, but the guy may not be on the roster yet. It is a process. One thing is for sure they have addressed the Oline this year. Larson,Ramirez,Massie, and Whitehair
-
I think it will play itself out. Grassu will sit this year, to many better options but will force him to work harder, and that wont be all bad. As far as Long, he is better than Leno, but your probably right, just have to wait and see about that. All the one year guys we brought in were just upgrades to our depth, but the best guys will be out there, so that aint all bad.
-
take the blinders off, you cant get out of your own way, Cutler is in the 14-16 best QBs in the league, and someday you will accept that.
-
Grizzy just cant get off the take shots at Cutler bandwagon. Cutler is at the top of the 2nd tier of QBs, 14-16 and Alaska cant accept that. He will be here for 3-4 years so we will be hearing this for a few more years. The Oline is interesting, if they put the best 5 on the field, Long could be going to LT, probably most natural position. I see him resisting at first, but it gives him the best chance to get a big paycheck. We now have depth so cudos for signing people that can play, instead of the mess we had last year. If healthy our Wide outs turn into a strength. They are some decent players going to be cut this year and that is all good because that means the roster is getting stronger. Rolle probably stays for one more year because of so much youth, but this coaching staff is not afraid to play young guys. LBers will sort itself out, Acho, or Young probably on there way out and not because they earned that, just more speed and youth added.I can see both Houston or Young being traded for late round picks in trading camp as teams develop their roster. We added some good football players, this year, good job done by Pace. It will show more two years from now, but is all good going forward.

I seen it posted on twitter, by someone, trying to look back to find it.
-
The WVU ILB may end up being the best pick of the draft in a few years, dude can play.
-
We signed a S from NW-Henry and a WR from Liberty-Darrin Perterson
-
Were going to have to cut someone

Here is a good article on Floyd http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...430-column.html Seems that Fangio's friend coached him a few years ago and called to tell him to track him down when he graduates. a stud
-
This list will stop real quick we only have 7 spots open for UDFAs 90 limit.
-
Duquesne Dan Bucholz OT, dont know anything about him.
-
At least we know what we have, we didnt last year as backups sucked.
