I prefer Adams but I can see it going down that way. There is only a couple of mocks that I have seen that Allen falls out of the top 8. He will be a top 5 player, I hate to refer to PFF but he is the top rated DL in the draft.
-
We are not going to go after Campbell, he is a very good player but Pace as demonstrated he wants younger , someone to build with. CC is 30. Someone like K Short, who I think can play the 5T would be a better choice. he is 3 years younger. He is 6-3 315 and has 16 sacks in the last 2 years. plus 4 FFs, and 9 PDs. CC has had 13 sacks, 2 FFs and 9 PDs in last 2 years.

There really isnt any secrets anymore, all the info is out there for every time to know players talents. He would be a nice 3 rd pick, but probably goes earlier.
-
I think working with someone you know would make the transition easier but I think each individual is different. What if Allen and Jackson played together but didnt like each other? I think you just draft the BPA that hopefully is at a need position and let the people drafting them decide who excels quicker. I think Bullard will end up being a good player but in his first year, he didnt fare well. Everybody matures at a different level and some never at all.

I would take that too, but not likely to happen. Saves us to have to draft a DE early, I suspect Goldman would be moved to the outside then.
-
I would to, but for sake of complicated mocking ,I would be OKay with Allen. I have been consuming draft information over the last two weeks, and Garrett and Allen are the two most confident picks everybody makes. I want Adams because I think , a playmaker will have more impact than a 5T pick. But if he turns into a 10 sack guy and makes Hicks and Goldman more effective , I will never complain about that pick. There will be lower safeties that will have the impact first years before you get a lower DE make that difference.

i would be very happy, if that turns out that way. I have read many places that Allen is the sure thing high in the draft. Baker couild be a starter out day one, he has play making potential. GBND site has him ranked at the 41st best player and if we get him in the third that would be great King would be a great pick in the 4th covers all of our needs.

This is one of the sites I look at frequently and think they do a decent job of evaluation of prospects but they screw up to . Just one of several sites to view. There current 3 round draft has us taking Watson/QB Hooker/FS Jaron Jones/DE I think that projection is way off, but time will tell. I would be okay with it. Hooker never makes it to the second round. Not really into a QB at 3 but if they deem him valuable enough, I would accept it.

The first 5 are good picks , the only problem is I dont see a TE anywhere in there.
-
From what I read , Adams, is a more physical type player but would be happy with either one
-
I think that maybe a possible disagreement got blown out of proportion, so I do not think they want him to leave and this action proves that.

Vince Biegel, OLB, Wisconsin He had 4 sacks and 39.5 TFLs last year. That is pretty huge

http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/01/19/b...17-senior-bowl/ Here is the list of some players we get to get up close and personal.

They can not leave unless it is a better job, he is under contract.

first of all thanks for doing this I would love to take Allen here, but think Adams is going to be the playmaker we need and that will help the defense out more. I still think Bullard turns into a good player and C. Washington has been playing better at the end of the year. So I would draft a player like Isaac Rochell/DE/ from ND in the fourth round and roll with what we have. 6-3 and 290 with the same speed as Allen. If you keeping track, I was rooting for Allen but have changed my mind to Adams. I heard Matt Bowen on the SCORE and he made a lot of sense when talking about drafting Adams.
-
So if we end up drafting Jake Locker Cristian Ponder EJ Manuel Blaine Gabbert or Brandon Weeden then that is a good thing that we got them in the first round because we can lock them up for 5 years? That only matters if one of these guys turn into Jamie Winston or Marcus Mariotta and none are even close to being rated as high as those two.
-
I think we are closer than teams think of vying for a playoff spot. IF we can upgrade the LT spot. Grab a TE , resign Jeffery, and get a QB prospect that makes it a decent offense. On D we bring in a CB, FS, and a 5T and some luck with health and we have a very strong D. Our biggest problem besides health is playmakers, if we can get one at CB and FS, we could be on our way.
-
I dont think it matters how many QBs go in the first round, it is still reaching when you take him above his value. Teams do that because of the value of the position. If we grab a QB, i would be Okay with that, that would mean they think he is worth the risk. Not my preference thou. I think we should grab the BPA and then grab a prospect that they may be worth the risk at where they grab them. That doesn't mean it will be a legitimate target, but there are questions with all prospects at that position this year.
-
I think they will be okay with Massie so we can just get a later pick to develop. I would like to maybe see a LT in round 2 or 3. I would love to get Ryan Ramczyk but he wont last until the second round and not worthy of 3.
-
Garett or Allen, its a no brainier if either of them are there. If gone , I would take Adams/S.
-
Other than the second OT, which I would draft a TE, I would live that draft
-
Takkarist McKinley/OLB/UCLA Bucky Hodges /TE/Vig Tec Forest Lamp/OT/Western Kentucky Gareon Conley /CB/Ohio State Samaje Perine /RB/Okla Chidobe Awuzie/CB/Colo Cooper Kupp/WR/E. Wash These actually are all top 100 players, but was just looking at names more than positions
-
I didnt like the idea at first, but if he becomes a playmaker and all pro S, does it really matter where you took him? Anybody that could be an all pro type player, I would have no problem with at 3. It is different than it use to be when you drafted high and they handed out huge contracts. Now it is all doable contracts at the top.
-
I may at worded it wrong but the point was we are strong up the middle with our two ILBers, and with the new additions. Not that we needed to address that position. I neither have drafted or picked up a FA in the middle

Its just one of many things they look at, it is not at the top of the list for evaluating just on a list of things to look at.
