As a late round pick has some developmental upside, but nothing special about him at this time. Probably more of a ILB at the next level.
  2. One statement a scout said was this time a year everyone is lying. I have read he likes Wentz and if he makes it to our pick, I think he takes him. But as far as the other two, there are going to be over drafted because they are QBs. I have read one scout rates Wentz a first rounder, Goff a second rounder and Lynch a third. A lot of mocks have everyone under the sun drafting QBs because of need, but it will be later than people think.
  3. I think when there are having one year deals it is just throwing darts and hope a couple stick. That is how Porter has a contract this year.
  4. That trade will never happen, (MO money would be to steep) but I like it a lot other than Vitale instead of Watt as the 7th round pick
  5. You put a lot of effort in your posts. I dont think the first round will be DT/DE just because of the depth at the position and lack of depth at other positions. I think if Carson Wentz is there we take him. ( I think we like him and is the most valuable position on the field. I think if for a weird reason, Bosa-Ramsey-Jack-Buckner drop, we jump on top of that. I think if Stanley or EX drop with the D players off the board(probably) I think a surprise pick could be a edge rusher-----Floyd-Lawson-Ogbach( probably the most important position on the field other than QB.)
  6. I see where the Bears is bringing in Baylor WR Corey Coleman for a visit. He is considered a late first round pick You think they kick the tires on WRs in case they dont get a deal done with AJ?
  7. I think with Millers injury history, they probably would if can get one that could block and catch. I still dont see why they grabbed Lee, he is kinda light in the pants. Housler was a depth move, so if they cut him it wouldnt cost anything.
  8. It would not be good to take him with any of the 3 rounds, but we now have an extra 4th, so maybe there. I heard one scout talk about QB prospects and said it is a waste to draft a prospect unless you honestly think he could eventually be a starter. In other words we dont need to draft another David Fales.
  9. Does anybody know what the money is? He was set to make 1.67 as a tendered offer, all the saints have left in the cap is 1.25 so I would suspect they give Like 2 mil upfront and maybe a 3 year 5 mill, with catch incentives to make it 6 mil. He is know for being a good blocker, so we needed to find that. I would say we still draft one, and end up with Josh Hill, Miller and the new draftee.
  10. Bears make offer to josh hill, saints have a week to match deal
  11. i have been reading alot about Nick Vannett and sounds like a good prospect that would go in 4th maybe 3rd. We have two in the 4th so maybe that would be a good spot to grab him.
  12. I think we could get some depth in FAgency yet, a few starter types still out there, and still draft one that could probably play both G/T. Also seen where Josh hill came in for a visit is suppose to be a good blocker, so maybe we kick the tires on him.
  13. Josh Hill played at Idaho State, had 118 receptions in 2 years with 1037 yards and 5 tds. Cant really find a lot of information about him. Said to be a good blocker, so that probably wouldnt be a bad signing.
  14. To be honest, with the McDonald ordeal , I dont see George allowing that to happen. Last year he gave his ok with McD, and it turned to shit, so doubt we go that route again.
  15. Just seen today that Josh Hill/TE was in for a visit.,Is he the next one to sign?
  16. I thing if we got a quality guard it would be more desireable to have Slauson at center. Of course all of this is based on the thought of Gauss's progress. Someone like Louis Vasquez/29 is still a good player.
  17. Reading is a skill, never once did I say quit being a bears fan, I stated if you you like them so much go watch that team. You can continue your Bennett Love, Marshall love. Non of the argument had to disliking then because they are no longer bears, it has to do with understanding WHY the coaching staff no longer wants them. You act like Fox called me up and asked my opinion, I am just agreeing with his opinion. I think both are productive players, but trying in instill a winning culture does not always accept me me me players. You have a right to your opinion it just is not the same as mine. Its ok if you want to just say IM STUPID, because you read something in to words I laid down. No where did I say in that post to quit being a Bear fan, or because there ex bears to dislike them, Im not that everything they do ok fan.
  18. I think when the coaching staff said they wanted him back if was a courtesy call.
  19. I think our big contracts are our of the way but with the Bennett deal we got an extra 5 mil to spend here is who I still want to be here Jared Crick/DE 26 with 31 starts under his belt. Still has upside for growth. better than Jenkins that contributed last year. Will be very reasonable Scott Chandler-30 he is not a great pass catcher but a very good blocker. To make a complete position for that spot we need a good blocker. Rashad Johnson-30- 3 years younger than Rolle and has some game Patrick Robinson- finally had a good season, was ranked in the top 30 CBs by PFF for depth Will Montgomery in case Gassu needs more time we have a comptant replacement Sam Ocho if we dont draft a OLB will add some depth at a position Out of everybody, Johnson has the most valve
  20. Here is my darts at our draft 11: R1P11 DT A'SHAWN ROBINSON BPA and will be a very good player in the NFL ALABAMA 41: R2P10 OLB KEVIN DODD I think he becomes a better NFL player than his counterpart at Clemson(Lawson) CLEMSON 72: R3P9 S VONN BELL I think he is the best FS in the draft-Amos will play better at SS for us OHIO STATE 107: R4P8 TE NICK VANNETT A well rounder player that has upside as a receiver . OHIO STATE 128: R4P29 RB TYLER ERVIN He was the BPA at the time, has great return skills and will fit in as a RBC SAN JOSE ST 151: R5P11 CB ERIC MURRAY A big corner with developing skills MINNESOTA 186: R6P10 DT MATT IOANNIDIS I read a few scouts opinions and think he could develop into an every down starter one day TEMPLE 207: R6P31 QB JACOBY BRISETT Just a prospect to work with, we have to face the fact that Cutler is going to be around for the 3 or 4 years NORTH CAROLINA ST 231: R7P9 K ROBERT AGUAYO Goodby norma jean(Gould) we knew you well FLORIDA ST This is how this draft fell using the NFL.Com rankings I could bye into it.
  21. i would say that is worth a dollar. Sometimes I am overtaken with sarcasm and will post things with a sense of humor involved. Sometimes when I say that was a stupid statement it is not meant to be said as calling a person stupid. When people take it personal, I sometimes jump on that bandwagon. There are a few people I am animated with, but I dont honestly dislike anyone on here. I valve the discussions and difference in opinions, sometimes it changes mine. Opinions are like assholes we all have one. Some thoughts have reasons that are just stupid, I admit some come out of my mouth sometimes. We are all passionate about the Bears or we wouldnt be on here so much. Sometimes I say smart things and sometimes dumb, nothing is absolute, but everything is driven by passion just not always well thought out as I like.
  22. Actually one I like kis Scott Chandler. He is on the wrong side of 30 but is a very good blocker with some receiving skills. He wont be back in NE so through him a minimum deal and we may something that works.
  23. The persona is that NE never screws up but that is simply not true. They acquired Jon Bostic last year from us in a trade. Here is his highlights for them: Jonathan Bostic was acquired by the New England Patriots in a trade from Chicago on Sept. 29, 2015 ... Originally drafted by Chicago in the second round (50th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. SEASONAL REVIEWS 2015 (11/1 – Patriots) Was inactive in the AFC Championship at Denver (1/24). Was inactive in the playoff victory vs. Kansas City (1/16). Was active but did not play at Miami (1/3). Contributed on special teams and as a reserve on defense at N.Y. Jets (12/27). Contributed on special teams and as a reserve on defense in the win vs. Tennessee (12/20). Made his first start as a Patriot at linebacker and posted one special teams tackle at Houston (12/13). Contributed on special teams vs. Philadelphia (12/6). Contributed on special teams and defense at Denver (11/29). Contributed on special teams in the win vs. Buffalo (11/23). Contributed on defense and special teams in the win at N.Y. Giants (11/15). Contributed on special teams and took his first snaps on defense as a Patriot in the win vs. Washington (11/8) posting one tackle on defense. Contributed on special teams in the win vs. Miami (10/29). Contributed on special teams in the win vs. the New York Jets (10/25). Made his Patriots debut and contributed on special teams, posting one special teams tackle in the win at Indianapolis (10/18). Was inactive in the win at Dallas (10/11). What NE has is a very good coach, and Tom Brady. They roll people in and out until they find the right ones. The best trait I can say is they keep moving forward looking for talent. they did not find that in Bostic and IMO they did not get that in Shea.
