I like all your names but do not honestly think we add a WR in free agency. I think we will probably draft one.
-
Goldman will be in his second year and would suspect to see steady improvement. Ferguson has potential but not playing all year hurt him. If we bring back Unrein and Jenkins (not signed yet) they are just limited snaps rotational types. We absolutely need to add a couple of more bodies to the mix. Washington hasn't panned out yet and he has been around 3 years now? You cant count him in the mix.

I agree, I have better names to draft instead of the ones he picked, but just liked the effort he put into it to get all those trades straight.

I seen this mock on FANSIDED with trades. before draft- trade AJ to Atlanta for 17th pick and 1st round next year #1-11-Myles Jack/OLB-ILB #1-17- trade pick to Jets for 20th pick-4th round-and Dee Milliner/CB #1-20-draft Hunter Henry/TE #2-trade pick 41 to Ar for pick 61 and 3rd round pick #2-61-draft Kyler Fackrell/OLB 6'5" 250 with 82 t 15 tfl 4 sacks #3-trade 72th pick and 6th round pick to 49ers for 68th pick and Bennett-draft Cris Jones/DT #3-81- Vonn Bell/FS starts from day 1 #3-93- Connor McGovern/OG 9th rated OG #4-103-Kenny Lawler/WR 52 rec and 13 TDs- 6'3" #4-115-Antonio Morrison/OLB 103 ts 12 tfl 2.5 sacks #5-trade pick 138 and 6th round pick for pick 131 #5-131-Jaylon Smith/ILB #6-167-Aaron Wallace/WR #6-186-Ronald Blair/DE 6'4"- 270 had 71 tackles-19 tfl and 7.5 sacks #6-187-Brandon Allen/QB 3400 yards-30 tds-8 int #6-189- Malcolm Mitchel/WR 58 rec and 5 TDs #7-198-Jake McGee/TE Remember we added a 1st rounder in 2017 with trade to Atl we give up AJ and Bennett who was gone anyway we get the #1 and #9 rated TEs we add Jack-Fackrell-Smith and Morrison to our LB corp we add Cris Jones and Ronald Blair to our DL we add Dee Milliner and Vonn Bell to defensive backfield a QB prospect Brandon Allen we add WRs Lawler-Wallace-Mitchel I love this kind of shit sounds good to me conclusion: starters Myles Jack-Dee Milliner-Cris Jones-Vonn Bell-Henry Hunter-Connor McGovern future stud Jaylon Smith http://nflmocks.com/2016/03/04/austin-john...couting-report/

If Jack, Buckner,or Ramsey is there, there my choices, but dont think they will be so all in on Ragland. Another name I am starting to warm up to is Shaq Lawson.
-
I would rate Howard and Williams both ahead of him, but he would be a good addition too.

I am not going to list every good FA and think we are going to actually sign them, so I am trying to be realistic. Ryan Pace is candlestick in his information he releases, so it could be out of the box with this. I think we target one expensive FA. Those that will receive a large payday that we might get: The one I think we will get Trevathan/ILB other possibilities: Jaye Howard/DT ( I think he will get around the same money as Trev, so dont think we sign both0 Ian Williams/DT (undersized productive player that should get 4 to 5 mil) a small chance he could be here to Damon Harrison/DT ( he will get a big payday) this could be the out of box pick we didnt expect Kelechi Osemele/OG( there are some cheaper good options) this could be the surprize we may get, probably 8-9 mil. probably one of these Jeff Allen/Alex Boone/Michael Harris of which I am ok with George Iloka/ Tashaun Gipson/I would like it to be one of these guys but probably one of these Rahim Moore/Rodney Mcleod/David Burton of which I would be ok with I think we get Trevathan, but other options: Junior Galette James Laurinaitis Sam Acho back Nick Perry Donald Butler Zak Brown I think we get one CB from this list: Prince Amukamara Josh Robinson Patrick Robinson Craig Heyward Sterling Moore In conclusion: we get Trevathan Boone Craig Heyward Donald Buter Junior Galette on a prove it deal Ian Williams Rahim Moore

I looked at Jason's list and there is a few names that stand out. Most good QBs were drafted in the first round but , every once in a while one shines. It is a shot in the dark. There is a ton of busts in the early rounds to and they cost a lot of wasted high picks. Truth be told, very few make it to the top of the heap so you should take as many shots at the position as possible.
-
If Foster can still be an effective back, he will be a problem if not the lead back. He will cost more than a vet deal.
-
That is the key to bringing any FA in here, getting them for a bargain valve. Giving he 2 to 3 mil wont happen.
-
I would need to research that, but more reason to throw darts at the board on the most important position in football.
-
I think every year we should be drafting a QB prospect, RB prospect and WR prospect. This year we will be going after a TE prospect. I think one of three 6th rounds will grab all of those prospects, 4th or 5th for the TE. Our first 3 should be a LB, DL and OL. Maybe in the 4th or 5th a S prospect. I think we bring in a TE, FS, and ILB in free agency, among other positions.
-
For everybody that was glad to see Lovie leave, we now get him back as the new Illini football coach. your thoughts
-
That would be a good call, I do not see them grabbing an older vet, over 30, they have a youth movement going, so will start with younger guys.
-
Royal is the right guy for that slot, but being injured all year doesnt look good on your resume. the year before we got him: 2014 SD 16 11 62 778 12.5 47T 7 3 14 4.7 15 0 1 1 62 catches and 7 TDs , a healthy Royal is EXACTLY what we need.
-
We tended an offer to Bellamy/WR so that will be our 5th WR slot Jeffery White Royal ? Bellamy so if we only keep 5, does that mean Wilson fills that spot? or do we bring in a rookie that can play STs? I think we keep Wilson and draft a player that we stash on our practice squad in case of injury
-
Any time a player is released, someone posts an opinion we should get him. Some sportswriters dont have anything to talk about so they invent shit. This is not a Bear official, just some idiot on the internet.
-
That would be a good catch, former player that had a down year. He was paid 3 year 12 mil. I would say we give him a 1 year 2.5 and let him prove himself. I would say if he plays like he did in Denver, we would be very happy.
-
He doesnt want to be here, if you have a malcontent in the ranks it causes problems in the locker room. Is is not like the Bears are ,;(he talks to much, lets get rid of him). There is a reason for this. He wants more money and it will be a problem if we dont give it to him. We're in the middle of a rebuild so better to try to get something before its to late. I suspect with all other trades, would be lucky to get a 4th and probably be a 5th.
-
I think we need more pass rush and even thou they all fared well, can we count on any of them to do better than 10 sacks a year? We need one thumper we can count on to be a consistent threat other teams scheme for.

Here is a Aaron Lemmings complete offseason projection
Stinger226 replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
I think if we add Stanley and Jeff Allen, that would kick ass. Montgomery back in case Grassu needs more time. Allen is a very good player. -
Here is the link to his proposal for the offseason. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1J9pgRpj...dit?usp=sharing …

All of them look good from this side of the draft, but look at the last several years, Luck is probably the only that proved anything so far. Winston and Mariota look probably doing it, but havent got there yet. Bridgewater looked good his first year and not so hot last year. the other QB that is ascending is Derek Carr, but look at all the early picks in QBs in the last few years, not a lot of winners.

I think Fleener( I like Dewayne Allen better) would be a mid priced FA. There are several OLs that will fall in the mid priced FA slots. I think Jackson will draw 10 mil, or maybe a little higher, and the Bears wont be paying that . If we go by what Pace states and with what he did last year, He will have one top tier player so no way we grab Jenkins and Jackson. I think Jackson will be over paid because of the SB performance, but look at his stats, he is not a 10 to 12 a year player. A very good player but I dont see that happening. I think we target one upper tier player and then grab a bunch of mid level players. I think they would rather pay Trevathan 8 mil a year than Jackson 10-12 , that would leave the money for another upgrade somewhere else. The strength of the draft is in the defensive line, so if anything we grab two guys for the front seven in the draft. I think we could sign Trevathan and then grab another ILB at a mid level price, like James Laurinaitis, or a Rolando McCain. I think the only way they add a TE is if Bennett is chased. I prefer Allen to Fleener, but there is also Ladarius Green as a possibility. As far as the money goes you give AJ 15 mil, save some money to get a deal done with Long later this year that wackes a big chunk off. Add an 8mil player and between the 3 you knocked off 30 mil from that large cap space. I am like everybody else on here and want all the big names but that just isnt going to happen. So one large and many mid level FAs.

So does it look bad for Washington to draft RG3 and then take Cousins in the third? It paid dividends for them. You have to draft BPA with an eye on need. We need OL or any defensive players so the BPA will fit one of our needs.
