awesome for chicago fans
-
Love what Chicago has to offer, but we dont have to live there or blow smoke up there ass. Everybody is different and Im ok with that.

I heard on the SCORE that what put in a waiver claim for Tim Wright /TE but TB was higher on the waiver list. We keep searching for TEs, I wonder if they think MB wont be at minicamp next week.

Mainly for an upgrade at the position. Ducasse was just a depth move, Ola played some at the OT position last year. So he adds depth there. Like Jason stated, if we think we can win now go for Mathis, in not, develop Ola or Groy.

For some reason some fans have problems letting go of the past. I think every player has a life expectancy and when its his time, I have no problem letting go.Will have fond memories and look for the new guy to root for. That's the reality of the NFL.

I think it is difficult to judge people thru the media. I see him as a hard working, flawed NFL player that avoids the publicity. I would probably be similar to that is I was a public figure. The only think that matters to me is his desire to win and keep his mistakes to a minimum. As long as he is a Bear I will root for him. He wife is as you stated, and remember everybody has different paths that make them happy. If there happy ,good for them. It about family, happiness and having a good life, I think he probably has to this point and wish everybody happiness. His wife may not be my cup of tea, but then she doesnt have to be.

I think the development has to do with assets the players have too. If some one isnt any good any coach wont get much out of him. I think we now have coaches in place that have a past of actually able to do that . With our last regime , we can say they didnt do a very good job at it, so the future is brighter. Hopefully some of these guys have some talent to work with, but hard to judge over the past couple of years.

I have looked at that name before, but I think the UDFA Dan Williams could give you backup minutes at NT. He appears to be a better player than your usually UDFA

If we dont have someone to fill the spot out of the younger guys on the roster, then it wouldnt hurt, but since were not winning anything anyways this year would prefer to have someone grow in the position.
-
When Bushrod is done here , he will be our LT, so quit jacking around and do it now. Move Bushrod to RT and put someone at RG and lets have the future now.
-
Tillman was one of the good guys but would not have been cheap, but would play cheap somewhere else. As much as I liked him, he will be injured this year and would have been a lost roster spot.

for a dead time, nice to see a sense of humor

So do you know much about him, living in the land of the sun?

I think there throwing a bunch of darts at the board and seeing which ones stick. Agree with you as far as younger guys ascending and wont need some of the older vets.
-
Its going to be interesting how it all shakes out, there are a lot of hopefuls for 4 spots, hopefully they all ascend and we have a different kind of problem,to many good players. McPhee, Foster, I think are locks to be most snaps, then I think Jones passes Bostic on depth spot. Not much said about Bostic all pre season, think he may be facing some problems seeing the field.
-
I fear with the time it takes from coming back from this injury that he will be lost in transition. If he's not ready for the start of the season then probably the PUP list and then poof he just wont be around anymore to get fit in the system.
-
There is a reason they drafted him, #1 - wanted more speed-#2- they must somewhere think the back to take Fortes spot as a starter wasnt on our roster yet. #3 They may think Langford is a difference maker. Because we had Jeffery and signed Royal, you could make the case for not taking White. White will be a stud, thats why we took him.

Every player with a new regime is in a (make or break year). Nobody last year was successful up the middle with Slauson hurt and Garza on the decline. After looking at tape of last year, Pace and Fox choose a RB in the 4th round which pretty well tells us, they didnt think much of our backups last year. I want everybody to be successful but adding a back with speed gives us a much brighter future than Carey does. Foxes RBC only comes into play when you dont have an outstanding RB to carry the load. We will use all three of our roster backs , not because of there ability but to keep Forte as fresh as possible thru the season.

Bears Uniforms....is it time for a more modern look?
Stinger226 replied to ParkerBear7's topic in Bearstalk
I agree a smaller version of the Bear head on navy would be a nice look. -
I think he will end up being a starter.
-
I have more confidence in our current leaders, so optimism is at a premium.
-
Yep he signs a deal then complains about it the next year by not showing up.
-
His problem is staying healthy, cant stay on the field.

With the recent OTAs a few things we learned. Ferguson is lighter which puts him in play for LDT position. I think with McDonald's circus life, Ego,and Ratliff moving to RDT that those will be our starting DTs. Forte's here and Marty is not. Funny thing is both Bennett brothers are holding out for their respective teams.
