Just digest information, and apply it to the NFL. I think SF and Seattle are the two best teams in the NFC, so for the Bears to be successful you have to understand what those teams are.

He isnt a top10 center but he is in the next tier of centers. A little above average.For now he is a better backup than Boggs, but is 28 with 44 games starting. Familiar with the system and I definitely see him being our next starting center after Garza is done. For those PFF supporters, he was the 12th ranked center last year.

Emery ,I think will end up being better at the GM position but time will tell with a better amount of data to use. I like the fact Emery attacks positions of need with a vengeance. OL last year, WRs over his tenure and now DE position. So far so good.

Harbaugh's contract is up after this year, and there's a big payday coming for Kapernick so after this year they start going the wrong direction. With Seahawks and SF still strong this year, our chances of making a Superbowl are still slim, but with all the big contracts coming up for both teams, things start to go the other direction.

I think we draft one, with the players available thats how that draft fell. I have mentioned a higher pick before and in the draft I took Smallwood in the 4th. He has been rated a higher pick in many mocks, so that was a good valve. All my drafts I grab a LB, the proposal of drafting one high is just an option people seem to discount and I bring it up for that reason. Im a Donald guy like you but just list the options. As far as Quarles as a 3-4 player? With all that Ive read, I have never seen him mentioned as anything other than a DT in a 4-3.

To be honest I think as I have mentioned before with Briggs, not fully recovered from his should injury, playing bad and he gets inserted in the WLB spot after a few games and stays there for 7 years.

I read a story talking about maybe Joe Kim was our biggest addition this off season. To give credit SCS has mentioned his name many times. So I look at the improvement of his addition to KC where he worked from 2010-2012. In 2009 KC had 22 sacks. 4-12 In 2010 it rose to 39 sacks. Almost double the sack total. 10-6 In 2011 it went to 29. 7-9 In 2012 27. 2-14 As I looked further, the team as a whole had a good year in 2010 because of an improved offense. Cassel and Charles both played well. In 2011, Charles was hurt and Cassel stunk. 2012 Charles played well but Cassel just not very good. In conclusion: I see Kim as helping but think the the biggest difference on KCs success during those years was how the offense played. So he can help, but with a lousy offense he didnt show improvement as a lousy offense affects the game so much it changed the way the defense played. I think it is regarded as players make the most improvement from year 1 to 2. It makes sense, they get acclimated to the NFL life and develop their bodies better.

The board on Fanspeak seems unrealistic for positioning, but with all the sites we look at on Mock Drafts, it's worth looking at as any other.
