Im not the biggest PFF guy but it is a measuring stick to compare players. If you read the rest of the post I had us drafting a 1st pick OT, then have Jones as a swing T. He is not a problem for a cheap depth backup. Can a rookie T beat him out in his first yr or is Kiran A. a possibility?

None of this matters anymore but the FG attempt for Santos would have been a 59 yarder of which Santos would not have made. They had to run another play to try to get closer with a 3rd and 26yards to go. A good coach would have called a TO after the sack (30 seconds left) and instilled one play to get 10 yards hoping to be able to stop the clock. I think a roll out with a sideline pass and Caleb having the option to run out of bounds was the best option. Odds are we would not have won the game. Flus robbed us of the chance to play in OT and is now fired for it. By the way Brown was named the interm coach.

Brad Biggs said he meets with the brass this afternoon, I didnt expect them to just fire them w/o a plan. They have to figure it out yet. Is there someone Poles or Cunnginham are close to that could be brought in temporarly, we dont know. Also who can take over that is here ? I dont think they want to stick to much on Thomas Browns plate since he is doing well with Caleb. Wait and see, it may not be figured out until monday.

It all started with 36 seconds left coming out of a penalty , Caleb was going to run a QB draw but the OTs didnt block before the release. Didnt have time. Clocck runs to 30 seconds left/ they didnt lineup quicky(no urgency from the coaching staff), Caleb gets the ball with 12 seconds left. He holds the ball to throw down field. 1) coach should have called a TO 2) Patrick Manley said usually the ST coach is suppose to alert Flus they are running out of time. 3) Caleb should have thrown the ball out of bounds instead of holding to throw donw field. At the press conference Caleb said he thought he could hit Odunze at the 5 yard line. 4) time run out. First responiblity is HC, secondly is the process with time running out, Caleb not being aware of time on clock.

Poles speaks today at 9 AM. Firing is a no brainer but who takes over? Fans dont care but Poles wont do it without having someone to take over. I suspect he will have to talk to the coaching staff to figure that out. Brown needs to just stay with Caleb to keep developing him. It may not be today.

We have 4 OL signed for next year, B Jones-Wright-Bates-Kiran A. I think they resign Shelton and Pryor. Jenkins is a Wildcard, if he takes a tean friendly deal because of injury history, I think he brings him back . My opinion: I have looked at college prospects and they're 6 OTs valued in first round, 2 will go in the top 10 of which we should be picking. Right now we have #9-#40-#41-#73. Poles will not reach for players so depending who drops to 9, DE or OT. With the first 4 picks 2-OT and 2-DL depending on vaue at time of the draft. Whether you want to here it or not B Jones is a top half rated T. 64 starting Ts, he is ranked in the top 25 overall. Wright is highly rated and will only get better. They're 2 top OL players on the market Trey Smith/KC and Dave Dalman/Atl. Sign one or both and align draft accordingly. With Bates and Shelton still in the picture, probably Trey Smith. I would draft a OT, make B Jones the swing T , Move Kiran A. to LG and compete with Jenkins coming back. A rookie C to compete with Shelton and Bates? The losers give us depth at all IOL after signing Trey Smith. Wright will end up a pro bowler one day. OL; Rookie T B Jones Wright Shelton Bates Rookie IOL Trey Smith Jenkins Kiran A. Matt Pryor. There will be 2 high picks for the DL, Booker another yr of development. a healthy Billings and Sweat and I think they sign amother high paid FA.

I think Poles made the final decision on Flus, he came in with (work your ass off ) attitude and as a new GM that probably sounded good. A run the ball first type, play good defense type of coach. Remember Valeb was not in anyone's thought process at that time. They had a 1st round QB in Fields but he concentraited on fixing the cap space and trying to build a roster. Last yr left some questions with Flus but they finished 5-3 with Caleb coming in and Getsy going out, I understand what he was thinking. The whole year proved Flus isnt a HC but coming from upstairs you ride the storm out and change at the end of the season. Flus has given away 4 games this yr and no longer has Waldron to blame. Poles can gain some respect by firing him today. Poles will be here next yr but can he hire the right coach? We will find out. Lets say they fire everybody, the same people are hiring the new regime, better to at least stick with a GM that asked for 4-5 yrs and has us on a upward trajectory. The Bears were not bringing in Harbaugh last yr, look at his contract and the control they gave him. 5 year 80 million was nothing the ownership would ever do. He is the second highhest paid coach in football, Sean Payton is first. Andy Ried has a 20 million extension but doesnt kick in until next yr. Tomlin got an extention that pays him 16 mil starting next yr.

Poles is talking today at 9AM. Hopefully he has a plan, with 10 days until the next game, the perfect time to end the misery. Has to be in house, not sure who has HC experience.

Every game going forward should look like this. That should hit 4000

A team with a 6 game losing streak is usually a very bad team, but look who we're playing and how we're hanging. This a good team with a brain dead coach. We kind of fixed a OC problem and have injuries but we could have 4 more wins this yr with just lack of a stupid coach. Had we tied the game, who knowa if we would win but with Caleb, odds are falling to us.

Even if Poles wants to let it play out, I bet he gets pressure from upstairs.

We have the generational QB, now build around him. Coaches will line up to coach here. Bring in Jon Gruden as an intermin coach to finish the year, after getting black listed, he will absolutely do that.
