I love Forte but he is getting old, has had a lot of carries, and is expensive. I hate to say it, but he is probably going to go. And his little Twitter stuff doesn't help.
I am from Rockford, Illinois. I am now in the UK....sadly. However, I still wear my Bears shirts and bleed blue and and orange.
If you think that people here don't know the Bears....wake up.
I used to live in Rockford, and now am in Leicester, UK. I did have a job in Woodstock, lovely place. And took the train from Harvard once upon a time to go see a Cubs game with a dearly departed friend.
I just want the best coach available; a proven leader who has been to the big game and keeps discipline in the team.
I definitely do not want anyone brought in just for Cutler.
I feel bad for Trestman; he did suck but he should have never been hired by Emery in the first place.
He will make a good O Coordinator for someone and I wish him the best.
However, I am glad he got the ax.
Sadly, I am a bit of a masochist and watched the last game until the final whistle....sigh.
I think Christian Jones has awesome potential and deserves to compete for a starting job; he was a beast out there yesterday.
And there was little else to cheer for.
For me, Cutler brings a strong arm and seems to be growing somewhat as a leader; he has also taken a beating in Chicago so some loyalty has to be given.
Happy for Kyle, but I can't wait until next Monday and the sad sack Bears can hopefully get a decent draft pick and we can start rebuilding...what a crap year.
If we could get some team to take his contract and we get a pick for him, I say dump him.
I would rather move forward with Clausen and whoever else we can get and start over completely.
I totally agree we need a rebuild in coaching all the way up to McCaskey.
