I guess it was the right call. His knee did touch the ground before the ball came out, but he never really seemed to have complete control. BEAR BALL!!! Now, we need the offense to step, and Grossman to grow his balls back. -

My god, what a freakin wasted oppurtunity by the offense. Grossman looks like he has no idea what he is doing out there. -

I officially hate that D-Bag Sean Sallsbury Steak. He is suck a f'in tool. He said there was no question and the Saints would win, and that they were like the Gators in the BCS Championship game... New Flash, I bet Sallsbury Steak pickd tOSU and gave Florida no chance over a month ago, and the Saints are nothing like Florida. And Florida were the heavy underdogs, the Saints are next to god to the media though. -

I am going to go to bed at like 5 o'clock today so I don't have to wait that much longer. -
Yeah, I hear what you're saying, and I know the only way a LB will be drafted is if Briggs leaves. BUT, IMO, HH is a very fine LB and would start on just about any team.
-
No they don't. Hunter Hillenmeyer is one of the NFL's most underrated players, IMO. He just gets overlooked because of Briggs and Urlacher. Plus, Ayanbadejo is a fine backup. HH is fine at SAM, and JA didn't sign him to a decent sized contract in the offseason for nothing.
-
Why do we need a platoon guy for HH? That makes no sense.

This is something different for the Bears. They have never had the media and "experts" so against them this year. Now, the Bears have the momentum (the Gould kick was huge) and have the pissed off attitude. I know when someone says I have no chance at something I get pissed and want to prove their ass wrong. And I am sure the whole Bears locker room feels the same. This is why I think the media should backoff and not make predictions until gameday, so it doesn't give either team any bulletin-board material. I can't wait, 2 more days. -
Bears 28, Saints 9
-
why two LB? HH is fine, and is one of the better SAM linebackers out there. The only way OLB will be a need is if Briggs isn't resigned.
-
The only problem with that is that Jones might decide to holdout and by then we will be lucky to get anything worth-while from him.

Sacrilegious, but awesome!

I have seen in a few recent mocks with Justin Blalock comming to the bears. I would love that, since Blalock is a great OG prospect, and could possibly play RT. Plus, he could fill in at any position on the OLine if need be. OLB might be a need. Right now I think it is 50/50 on whether or not Briggs will be returning. My draft needs for the Bears right now would probably be... OL SS *OLB - if Briggs leaves TE - A guy in round three/four and learn for a year or two until Clark leaves *DT - if Scott leaves *RB - if Jones is traded, which seems likely OL WR CB My ideal first day right now would be to trade Thomas Jones and possibly a late round pick for a mid-late 3rd rounder, and Resign Briggs. I would draft Blalock (OG/T) in the 1st, John Wendling (S) in the 2nd, Doug Free (OT) with the first 3rd, and Joe Newton (TE) with the second third round pick.

I have a question, does anyone think Chris Harris can tackle a tackling dummy? -
I wish I knew how to return kicks like that. Chances are that he was playing on rookie mode probably.

I HATE YOU!!! Dang, what do you do? -
Okay, it is time to look at ahead to next weeks, and look at some matchups. I'll start off with the Saints offensive specialists vs. the Bears Secondary . . . The biggest matchup in the secondary will be Colston vs. Tillman. Tillman does excellent vs. the bigger and more physical recievers. Remember a couple weeks ago when the 6'6" Plaxico Burress got owned by Tillman? Or how about his rookie season when he owned Randy Moss. IMO, Tillman likes thrives against the less shifty, but more physical recievers, and I expect it to be a good matchup between him and Colston. Nathan Vasher will get Joe Horn if he plays, but if Horn doesn't play which it seems like he won't, then Vasher will most likely get Terrence Copper, and that is also a good matchup, but I think Vasher will be able to shutout the inexperienced reciever. Also, look for their speedster reciever Devery Henderson to line up in the slot, with RMJ covering him. Henderson is also Brees favorite deep threat. D. Manning has really struggled as of late though, but did play a little better today. I really like Chris Harris' instincts, but his tackling has got to improve. I am content with the safties, but they can do better. You have to watch out for Duece McCalister, as he was the x-factor in the Saints win on Sunday. If we are able to stuff him at the line and not let him shread us apart, we will be able to take the ground game away from Saints, which would be huge. Reggie Bush will also be interesting. He still isn't that much of a runner, but him going out in motion to reciever could be a problem. I expect to see Urlacher covering Bush on pass plays. I also expect to see Urlacher shadowing McCalister if we have trouble containing him. The Saints don't have a threat at TE though, and I don't think Karney is a threat at FB either, so that should allow a LB to blitz more often. Overall, I am not to worried about our specialists on defense vs. their specialists on offense. What I am worried about is the front four vs. their OLine and Brees. If the front four can't cause pressure, then we are screwed. We need the big two guys in the middle to stop the run, but we really need the two guys playing end to contain the outside and force pressure on Brees. If there is no pressure on Brees, he will just sit back there and pick the secondary apart. Today there was some decent pressure at times, but it won't be good enough vs. the Saints and Brees. I want to see more Mark Anderson, and I want to see Mark Anderson making "good friends" with Brees. But what I want the most is Brown and Ogunleye returning to the dominant duo they used to be on the outside. If we can stop the run, and cause havoc in the backfield, I think we have a great chance. I think our defense matches up well vs. the Saints offense. I really want the defense to turn back into those turnover machines they used to be also. That would be beyond great. Now I will compare our O vs. their D . . . I think this will be no problem at all. The Saints D is awful, IMO, and Charles Grant and Will Smith at the ends are the only two we have to worry about. I think we should do exactly what the Eagles tried to do, and expose Fred Thomas. Thomas got burnt by Stallworth multiple times, but Garcia's could only hit Stallworth in stride once. I say we pound the ball with Benson and Jones, and when we have them thinking run, we pull the PA with Berrian vs. Thomas downfield. Grossman should be able to hit him wide open for the TD. We should easily be able to pick apart this D, and if Tait and Miller can contain Grant and Smith, and not allow them to cause pressure, I think Grossman and the offense will have a field day. And special teams. Well, three names to throw at you - Devin Hester, Robbie Gould, Brendon Ayanbadejo. Do I need say anything else? I have personally felt that the Saints were one of the weaker teams, and I think we match up very well vs. them. Also, the monkey is off our back with finally winning a playoff game, and we just shifted the momentum to our side with the big OT win. We have everything in our favor, especially the domed Saints comming into hopefully miserable playing conditions here at Chicago. I think Da Bears have a very good chance of advancing to the SuperBowl next week... GO BEARS!!!

Because Hasselback and Jackson have been working together for years, along with Ingram. Hasselback hasn't had enough time to create a chemistry, with all the injuries and such. I think Tillman did a very good job, considering he was the one the Seahawks decided to pick on the whole game.

Darrell Jackson - 4 receptions for 49 yards, no TD's. That was Tillman's guy the whole game. Yes, he didn't have a great game, as he did get beat a couple of times, but he was very solid. -
How did Tillman have a bad game? He played very solid. He was going against Hasselbacks go-to-guy, Jackson, and did a very good job. Hasselback really stayed away from Branch, Vasher's guy, the whole game.
