The Raiders paid a pretty good price to get Lamont Jordon and it is doubtful they would bench him, especially considering how horrid the Raiders OL was. Also, this is not about comparing backs. I am just pointing out that Thomas Jones would not get any more playing time anywhere else then he would here.

I love how this Board has almost 20,000 posts already after just one year! This will be the best Bears Forum in a couple of years!
-
I love Briggs, but I think it would be wiser not to spend too much money at LB, and spend it on Tommie Harris, Nathan Vasher/Charles Tillman, Bernard Berrian, and possibly Rex Grossman within the next year or so.

Singletary would be a horrible choice for Bears DC, as he runs a 3-4 defense, not the cover 2. I totally agree. Toub is the best ST Coach out there, and he deserves to get paid. Give the man his money. A big part of this team is having the best ST.

I say let him go. I like him and all, and I think he is a good coach, but I think Babich will just mainly be a coordinator for his coaching career and be a better DC then Rivera. Also, Babich for sure has the job. The only reason why he is still with the bears as an assistant HC is because the Bears have practically promised the DC job to him as soon as Rivera leaves. Plus, he knows the cover 2 almost as much as anyone. I think Babich would be a great DC and he wouldn't have the same pressure to be a HC like Rivera. I think he would be similar to Jim Johnson as he will be one of the leagues best coordinators, but never a head coach.

Jets - maybe. Raiders - Lamont Jordan. Texans - Dominic Davis.
-
Didn't he do the same last year?
-
If Grossman threw another TD to his own team instead of the other team, we would have won last night. EDIT: I have no idea why I posted this here.

Speaking of SI, last year they did a 07 mock draft shortly after the 06 draft took place, and they had the Bears picking something like 8th, and all 4 NFC north teams were picking in the top 10
-
Well, the Defense that "sucked" held the Colts to only 22 points. And guess what, that is pretty damn good considering they were on the field for 40 minutes and for 80 different plays.
-
I doubt Jones would start over Jacobs for the Giants and Davis for the Texans, and no way he would start for Indy with Addai. Oakland would start Lamont Jordon and Carolina would start Deangelo Williams. Besides the 3 teams I said, you only added one team that he would have a shot to start for and that was the jets. (note, this is for next season)

I don't really buy that whole blame the weather thing. Grossman just threw a bad ball, plain and simple.
-
I assume you were talking about the interception that was returned for a TD, correct? Well, that was Moose, and the corner had help from the saftey. That pass by Grossman was a low percentage pass, and his only chance was to zip it hard to Moose's inside. But he had Clark wide open on that play. And when he had Berrian wide open down field, instead of leading him to the outside, he threw it on the inside.
-
DB, I know you're a big Rex fan, but there is no denying that he choked last night. Yes, he didn't get much help from the play calling, but he still preformed bad.
-
Sanders. Younger and isn't injured half the time. Now, if Mike Brown could stay healthy and wasn't comming off serious injuries every year, I'd probably choose him.
-
Jones would not be starting on one team in the NFL except for maybe the Lions, Packers, or Browns depending on what they do in the offseason and draft.
-
There will be no drafting a QB, and we will not trade for Matt Schuab. It will be an open competition in camp between Grossman, Griese, and Orton, and whoever preforms best should get the nod as the starter, and so on. If we were picking in the top 10-5 though and sucked, we would most likely draft Quinn or Russell or trading for Schaub though.
-
Right now it seems Jones wants to stay. It would be best for him to stay anyway as his best oppurtunity to play is still with Chicago. Any other team would probably just throw him at the bottom of the depth chart for depth. Plus, Jones loves Lovie smith. But Benson has to be the starter, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I would have it go something like this... Benson starter - 60% of carries Jones 3rd Down Back - 40% of carries But that could all change depending on how the season goes. Whether it be Benson ermerging as the franchise RB or joining the likes of Salaam and Enis.

THE F'ING SUPER BOWL: Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears

Briggs will be franchised no matter what.

Tackle is a much bigger need then guard, IMO. Miller is the weak link on the OL, and Metcalf is starting quality. Plus we can possibly sign Steinbach or resign Brown.

Post any draft or offseason ideas you have in this thread.

Did I mention Ron Turner sucks ass?

I am 100% positive it was Harris.

Manning was down deep helping Vasher with Harrison.
