  1. No, it was Chris Harris. For someone reason, Manning was playing on the other side of the field.
  2. And the Mike Brown one. The first TD for the Colts was Chris Harris being totally out of place. With Mike Brown at SS does that happen? And do we stop the run better? But why would it matter anyway. You can't win a game with only a defense, you need offense also. I completely agree. That was a huge missed oppurtunity. Even if we only got a field goal would be great.
  3. Best offseason move the Bears can make right now... Fire Ron Turner. Any knews on Benson's leg?
  4. You forgot about free agency...
  5. Next season it will hopefully be a real competition though and whoever plays better in TC and PS, whether it be Griese, Orton, or Grossman. Not just handed to the Grossman again...
  6. There is no QB worth drafting where we are. Unless we gave up a left foot to move up to the top 5 and draft Quinn, we'd be better off with sticking with Grossman/Griese/Orton. Or make a move for Matt Shaub which would also coast a lot. Right now we have to hope Grossman rebounds and comes back strong next year.
  7. If you go back to the first post you can see where I bitched about Turner. It was a team effort by both of them.
  8. Grossman numbers don't reflect on how bad he actually did play today. He barely went down field, and when he did, he threw it to the other team. He didn't start playing well until the final minutes but that the Colts backups were in, and he was still making bad decisions as he was still going short instead of going downfield when you needed to go for it. He also fumbled good snaps twice, that is uncalled for. NFL QB's do not do that. They shouldn't fumble a snap like that even once in a season, let alone twice in one game, and in the biggest game of his life. I think it is fair to say he choked today, and choked big time. Its because in the first half they never had the ball and when they did pass it was little dumpoffs for 2 yards. The Colts D just stepped up to stopping the short stuff in the first half because that is all what Turner and Grossman were going for. You need to actually attempt a pass more then 10 yards to help open up the run.
  9. Rivera doesn't have a big enough playbook where he can call 70 different plays for 40 minutes, the ammount of time the Colts O had the ball.
  10. Ron Turner is a freakin idiot. Grossman didn't do so well himself, but Turner is retarded. I have no idea what he was thinking when he was making these calls. I don't understand all the running and little dumpoff passes early on. Why not open up the run by actually attempting a pass over 10 yards, and yes that is still some Grossman. We started off to a great start, but the Bears offense was almost non-exsistant. The defense was on the field for about 40 minutes!!! That is ridiculously bad. But then the defense gave up, arm tackling and not hustling on every play. Ugh, this was an all around bad effort. The only highlights on defense was Urlacher, Manning, Tillman, and Vasher who all had good games, and the Bears MVP for the game was Devin Hester. This is still a young team through, but the offense needs to get its act together before this team becomes a true competitor. We will need to have a very good offseason as this game did show many flaws in the team. Congratulations to the Colts, they seemed to want it more then the Bears did.
  11. At least we are still a young team and should still be contenders for a couple more seasons... And Ron Turner is a freakin dumbass.
  12. I had a dream last night and I think the final was 24-3, a Bears superbowl victory.
  13. The only time I watch ESPN is for highlights. They have some of the worst hosts or "experts" you will ever watch.
  14. It depends on the manner of the lose.
  15. The only way Joe Thomas will fail if he gets drafted by the Lions. And even then, he still might do good. Joe Thomas is a stud, and I think he will be better then D'Brick.
  16. Steinbach would provide youth and experience, as well as very solid play at the OG spot. But would cost something probably 5 years, 25-30 million, or more. Ruben Brown is older and less athletic, but he is still argueably the best pulling guard, but he might retire. If Brown doesn't retire, we'd be able sign him to a fairly cap friendly deal for about 2 years. But that is nice for the short term, but bad for the long term. But the X-Factor is the Ruben Brown is a captain and a leader, and a great clubhouse guy, and it would be tough to give that away. I am a bit worried about Garza's health at RG since he is missing an ACL and that leg could be a ticking time bomb, but while it holds up, he is still a very good RG. I think Metcalf is better suited to be his backup as they are both similar, and aren't especially good at pulling. And if something every happened to Kreutz, Garza would just slide to center and Metcalf would fill in at RG. I think the biggest weakspot is Miller at RT. As he is a solid preformer and very durable, he is old and slow. I am fairly sure he has allowed more sacks this season then anyone else on the OLine, as he can't handle the speed rushers. The plan, IMO, is to basically draft someone in the first round to grome at LT for a season and when Miller is probably cut after 08 (or he might even retire), move Tait back to RT and plug in the first round pick at LT.
  17. You are correct about that sir. The only guy that has had me really intrigued is Joe Staley from Cen. Michigan. Looks to be a very good LT prospect, and has outstanding footwork. He is currently at 6'5" and 300, but he does have the frame to add another 10 or so pounds. He is a converted tight end, so maybe we could even use him as the third TE on goalline.
  18. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... I don't think Rex Grossman will be the franchise QB we are looking for. But then again, he isn't as bad as some, even me at times, made him out to be. But then again, he could become a poor mans Brett Farve. If you look at both their first year stats, they are very similar, except Farve had a better completeion percentage. I will never be a big Grossman fan, but I do wish him the best and do hope deep down he proves me wrong and becomes a stud.
  19. I really don't care what "experts" have to say, since well over half-the-time, these "experts" are wrong. Especially Sean Salisbury. If I could kill one person from ESPN, it would be him...
  20. I think this gives us all enough evidence on why Grossman should be benched
