This run defense is off, there is a wide open gap on every Lions' run.

Ugh bad Getsy back, wtf was that, a pitch to DJ Moore with 3 unblocked defenders? Just run Foreman, Herbert, or Johnson up the middle, come on.

41-yarder to Kmet, a huge MoF timing throw from Fields, nice to see. Amazing how those work huh Getsy lol?

On that sack on Fields, there was no one even close to open there.

Jaylon Johnson with another pick, he really knows what Goff is trying to do. What sucks is it would be better just to bat it down there and take the ball at the LOS lol. I know it is counter intuitive but that ends up being as good as a punt with the dumb penalty.

I need to rewatch some plays, but guys are getting pushed back into Fields almost immediately. He can't step up because there is someone there.

The last time they played, here were the scores at the end of each quarter: CHI-DET 7-0 10-14 20-14 26-31 So the Bears have already scored what they had at halftime in under 14 minutes today.

Terrible defense there. Can't they count? You can't have 3 defenders on one side when they have 6 blockers, geez.

I will take a FG on a drive that started inside your own 10. It makes it a 2-score lead before the 1st quarter ends.

Absolutely, but he actually gets hit in the head a lot. It is also one thing to hit them as you try to avoid them, but he gets hit like normal, but on a slide and the minute he starts the slide, the play is over.

Damn, can't take a sack there, but there was nothing open and terrible blocking. Does Getsy not understand what a slant or dig route is there? No outlet either for Fields. He was sort of setup to fail there.

Scary throw by Fields there, double clutched but then threw a missile to Mooney. They finally call something on the Lions after Mooney is hit late out of bounds. Now Fields needs to get some calls.

God, why can't they do this for 60 minutes? Ngakoue with a huge sack, Lions punt.

Holy Shit, Wildcat with Moore, Fields out wide, fakes the toss back to Fields, runs it in easy. Great play design, why can't they do this all game? 7-0 Bears.

RPO working much better this game, Fields keeping the ball much more and gashing the Lions on the ground so far.

Fields gets hit on a slide on the first play of the game, no call. Geez.

Anything comments
You can go back in time too, Jay Cutler is the savior, Sexy Rexy, Cade McNown. The Bears have been so bad at evaluating QBs, at some point they have to luck into one.

Weekly Tankathon Meter
Slightly off topic, but do you know the last time the Bears had the #1 pick (and used it)? I was assuming 60s or 70s, nope. 1947 - Bob Fenimore, HB So since the Super Bowl era, the Bears have never had/used the #1 overall pick.

If he has a total of 300 yards of total offense AND 3 TDs, I think the Bears win. With RBs, that would be close to, if not over 400 yards of offense.

5th rounder by JAX in 2020. This is a guy that probably came out of college a year late (like our Sewell). In his Junior Year, he had 68-985 and 7 TDs at Texas (Biletnikoff finalist). Then he had a down year his senior year with some injuries. What is crazy is, he seems like an upgraded ESB, who is slightly taller, heavier, and faster. He has a surprising good pedigree to not work out. I wonder what happened to him? He was the Jaguars 2nd highest graded offensive player in 2020 with a 73.4 PFF score, yet was cut after his rookie year as a 5th rounder? Then he went to the Giants and actually had a decent 62.3 grade. Outside of DJ Moore, no other WR on the Bears has a grade over 60. He has a cool Twitter handle: @Call_In_Johnson I didn't know the Bears signed him to the PS on Oct 10th, so he has been with the team for over 2 months. Of all the random guys the Bears pickup on their PS, this guy may stick.
