Yeah it is beyond ridiculous this year. Gordon was going for a mid-shot and Kamara dropped his head.
-
The Bears have been penalized 6 times for 72 yards. The Saints have 13 yards on offense.
-
and both times negated a big play. There have been a lot of stats taken off the board this year by bogus penalties.
-
It won't be a linear thing. It will take most of the year to get enough game action.
-
It should've been a penalty on the defender actually.
-
The difference this year is the Bears are overcoming the bad calls. That is a sign of a well-coached team. One call like that over the last couple of years and the game was over.
-
Not yet, lol. The Minnesota game happened and the defense forgot how to play in that 4th Quarter. So if we are up by 20 entering the 4th, then I will feel better.
-
Holy shit this defense is on fire. They want this one for DA.
-
Roschon sighting, gets the first down. Swift with the rushing TD, he found the hole. 13-0 Bears.
-
	This game is bananas.
-
He made his mind up before the snap, can't do that. If he threw a better ball, it would not have been an INT. That ball has to be to the outside and not short.
-
and now an INT. Murphy kicking the Bears ass today. BS penalty negates big play, then an INT.
-
Loveland called with another phantom call, what the hell was that?
-
Sweat is having himself a game already. He stops Kamara on 3rd Down to force a punt. He has been very active. Dexter as well. If those two are playing well, the entire defense plays well.
-
Offense looking like crap. Fumbled snap on a high snap from Dalman, then on 3rd Down he snaps the ball and then holds onto it? I don't know if I have ever seen that before and how that is not a penalty lol. Bears settle for FG. Offense is killing themselves right now.
-
Defense coming up huge, Montez Sweat with the strip sack and Dexter with the recovery.
-
Terrible start. Of course. The typical quick screen to the WR that is almost intercepted, then a false start penalty to cause a 3rd and long and quick 3 and out. Lovely.

Don't blitz Rattler and wait him out as he gets worse the longer he holds the ball: Blitz: +0.12 EPA/DB No Blitz: -0.11 EPA/DB TTT below 2.5: +0.12 EPA/DB TTT above 2.5: -0.32 EPA/DB

The Long Snapper is considered a defenseless player when snapping the ball with his head down. On both of the last two kicks, the block and the GWFG, Payne is clearly on Daly's back instantly, and using him as leverage. On the previous kicks, Payne would just rush the gap between the LS and the G, but in these two he was going over the back of Daly, which didn't give him a chance to even attempt to block him. In the MIA game, this was called against the defense.

I was trying to look for some trends for this game, but in general, the Saints have been so bad under Rattler and over the last two years, there is not much to find. However, I did notice that in their only win and Rattler's first (1-12), he did not take a sack, nor did he throw an INT. NO is 1-1 when he doesn't take a sack, and winless when he takes at least one. For Williams, the Bears are 1-6 when he doesn't throw a TD pass but are 4-0 when he is sack 1 or fewer times in a game. They are 4-14 when he is sacked 2 or more times. So the formula is at least 1 TD pass with 1 or fewer sacks for Williams.

I think the top 3 are really comparable with different elite traits. The one factor that has to be considered is the opponents. The difference between Maye in 2024 and 2025 is the absolute cream puff schedule he has this year. So I would expect him to lead all 2024 QBs in passing this year just based on that alone. Daniels had that last year. WAS was 1-4 against playoff teams and 11-1 against non-playoff teams. Daniels and Nix are in Year 2 of the same offense as well. So thru Week 6 in Year 2, Caleb has had the toughest SOS and is already on his 3rd play caller, OC, and HC. Penix and Rattler are with Caleb, on their 2nd coaching staff and have harder schedules. 1. Maye -coaching staff change, +schedule 2. Williams -coaching staff change, -schedule 3. Daniels +lack of coaching change, +schedule 4. Penix -coaching staff change, -schedule 5. Nix +lack of coaching change, +schedule 6. Rattler -coaching staff change, -schedule 7. McCarthy -always injured One last note on Maye, he has never thrown for more than 287 yards, and the most passing TDs in one game is 3, which he has done only twice. Caleb has 4x 300-yard games and 2x 4 TD passing games. Daniels has one game over 275 passing yards, the Hail Mary game against the Bears. That one stupid play gave him a career high, and his only 300-yd passing game of his career to this point.

They had the same punter in last week to help the returners.
-
	Oof, Loveland would be 20th.
-
Side note to the New Orleans game, the Saints are 23rd in Pressure Rate. In contrast, the Bears have faced teams that apply a lot of pressure, in 4 other games: WAS - 4th, DAL - 8th, DET - 9th, MIN - 10th. I was suprised to see WAS that high, so maybe Caleb's performance was a little better than I thought considering he was facing a top 5 pressure defense and the offense still put up 25.
