McCarthy - 18.7 QBR - 248 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT, 1 sack, 48 rush yds. 296 Total Yards. Lost. Season QBR: 26.7, 692 yards, 5-6 TD-INT, 15 Sacks, 2 Rush TD. Caleb is basically 2 yards per game under Kramer's pace for 16 games. He is still on pace to hit 4K. He should break 30 total TDs, but unless he has at least one monster game, he probably won't hit 30 Passing TDs this year.

Yeah, Burden had some nice routes, and he catches the ball. Oz had 4 targets and 1 reception. Burden was 3-3. Loveland was 4-4. Loveland's 17-game pace over the last 3 weeks: 74-1,195-11 TD.
-
Williams still on pace for 4K, now on pace for 4,034 Passing Yards and 464 Rushing Yards. That is 4,500 Total Yards. On pace for 25 Passing TDs, and 32 TDs overall, and only 8 INTs. Williams has now has gone his last 85 passing attempts without an INT.

The Bears come in as 2.5 dogs to MIN in MIN. It seems that some teams have figured out the MIN defense. They have allowed 27, 24, 37, and 28 in the last 4 games, and are 1-3 in those 4. MIN has scored 19, 27, 10, 22, 21, and 21 in the last 6 games. McCarthy does not look NFL-ready, he threw 2 INTs and now has 6 on the season in 4 games. Unfortunately, I feel like this is going to be another nail biter, I am thinking Bears 27-24.
-
Yeah, and if Gordon comes back and they both play like this, this defense would be much improved instantly.
-
3 pt swing on Wright's dropped INT. Giants scored 3 pts after Jarrett's phantom penalty. Could easily have been a 10 pt win.
-
It will be brutal for today's game with all the turnover on downs. EPA doesn't care about drops. I imagine it will be bad for Williams. I like it better for an overall team, and a split between the Pass and Rush Off and Def.

This is the first game this season that the Bears had fewer penalties than their opponent and they were still screwed by the officials lol. Zero sacks allowed, Burns came into the game with the league lead in sacks, and had 0. 4 sacks for the defense. 2 sacks for CJGJ, 2 TFL, 2 QB hits and 9 tackles. This dude joined the team 10 days ago. Sweat with 1.5 sacks, 1 TFL, and 2 QB hits.

There have been a few others, but in this one there was so much against him. Drops, pressure, penalties, weather, bad defense, terrible special teams. They were down 10 with 6:13 left from their own 9 and they scored their 2nd TD at 1:47. So 144 yards gained with 2x TDs in 3:23 of game time. They almost scored that 2nd TD too fast. Things that are still true, defense is bad, special teams is terrible, and officials continue to screw the Bears over.

If the Bears lose this one, they may not win another game.
-
It was complete bullshit.
-
It would be 1, 2, sack most plays. And Dart is playing the Bears defense which is literally giving him free 10 yard plays.
-
Starting to think Dennis Allen is not all that. The Bears got lucky with the turnovers early on but when they are not there it looks really bad
-
Our DBs are playing 15 yards off with 8 yards to go? Quick out open every time. Baffling.
-
Nothing adjusted on defense, they still suck.
-
God this defense sucks balls.
-
Special Teams still sucks. Just kick it out of bounds.
-
Everyone looks cold and slow. Have no clue what is going on. How many more passes can hit two hands and be dropped?
-
Yeah, a little smaller too. I like him better than Nix.
-
Yeah our guys are dropping balls hitting both hands with sticky gloves.
-
Can we just take the WR bubble screen off the play card? I don't know what the fascination is with this play but it rarely gains anything and almost always ends up as a near INT, incompletion or loss of yards.
-
Line has slide to -4.5. The Bears can't lose at home to this Giants team without Skattebo. Hopefully the weather holds up and doesn't become a shit show.

Another way to look at it though, both Johnson and Allen have done this before as coordinators, so most of the in-game stuff is the same. Johnson has a few more responsibilities as a HC, but those are only related to challenges and timeouts, which he can get assistance from the booth on. As for players, most of the vets have playoff experience. For key contributors, most do like Swift, Thuney, Dalman, Jackson, Smythe, Jarrett, Sweat, Billings, Edmunds, CJGJ, Wright and Byard. We are now at the halfway point of the season. From most new offenses, this is when they start to become more consistent. So I think we should expect more efficient and consistent offensive output for the rest of the season. Ultimately, if the Bears can go 2-0 in the next two weeks, and both DET and GB go 1-1, the Bears control their own destiny, which is not something I expected. That would put them at 7-3 heading into the game against PIT, which is very winnable at home. Also, based on odds, that is the most likely outcome over the next two weeks. So it is not like we are reaching.
