  1. Here is a roll-up of some of the SB predictions: CBS Sportsline (Bears 2-4) Bears - Harmon, Richard Colts - Prisco, Judge, Bromberg, Davis USA Today (Bears 1-5) Bears - Wood Colts - Bell, Davis, Pedulla, Weisman, Zillgitt ESPN (Bears 1-8) Bears - Allen Colts - Theisman, Salisbury, Hoge, Jaworksi, Schlereth, Mortenson, Golic, AccuScore CNN SI (Bears 0-7) Bears - None Colts - Banks, Chadiha, Demasio, King, Silver, Dr. Z, Layden Inside the NFL (Bears 1-3) Bears - Collinsworth COlts - Carter, Costas, Marino Whatifsports Simulation (Colts 26-20): http://www.whatifsports.com/partners/fsn/super_bowl/2007.asp The Bears were picked to win in 5 out of 33. The Bears are a true underdog this week.
  2. Kalapse is correct: Yep, two other players in the picture:
  3. Thats not what he said, but I hope we sack him like 20 times. Here is what he said. It was in reference to pressure, not the Bears D. Do you really think he would be that stupid?
  4. Any field that gets farther away from turf will favor the Bears. The Colts excel on turf where the Bears are better on grass. When you add the elements, that would seem to push it farther in favor of the Bears, which is good.
  5. The even SuperBowl #s like XX are AFC home games, and the odd #s are NFC home games.
  6. It alternates. NFC this year, AFC next year (I forgot when that started). Yes, the visiting team gets to call the coin toss. That is weird because it used to be in the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl. I guess they made that up more recently. I would like to see some non-pro cities involved that meet the other criteria.
  7. I would love for Chicago to host a SB, but I don't think it will ever happen (or at least until Global warming changes the world temps). The problem with cold weather sites is logistics. Travel would be a disaster if a snow storm hits. There is just too much going on in and around the city to be crippled by bad weather. I would like to see other places like the Southwest or even other places in the South.
  8. I don't mind the neutral site since both of the teams are champions of their conferences, and the regular season record should only be used so much. The best teams already get a bye, then two home games. I think there would be too many issues if they took away the neutral site. It would be like the BCS. The one thing that I don't agree with is the rotation. The Super Bowl is such a huge cash cow for the cities that host it, so I can't understand why only certain cities get the game. Miami as a city has hosted it 9 times counting this one, but other warm cities like Dallas has never hosted it? I also wouldn't mind seeing it in other cities that don't have a pro team.
  9. Urlacher does need to concentrate on Indy's offense more than some crazy plays on offense. Hopefully he will not be needed.
  10. I thought I saw that, but wasn't sure. I think the Bears can make competitive offers for all their key players within the next year or two. It will be up to the player whether to take more money and run or build a dynasty in Chicago. It would be nice to see the Bears make an extended run for the next couple of years. I thought the Bears had a chance back in 84-85-86, but that team got dissolved fairly quickly.
  11. I said it before and I will say it again, if there is anyone that is a Tecmo Bowl player, it is Devin Hester as Bo Jackson on returns.
  12. Doesn't the cap increase annually? Also, I figure the Bears will drop R. Brown's contract within the next year or two, along with a few other older vets. This should free up space to re-sgn these guys while they bring in new youth below them.
  13. Now this one is hilarious. Dr. Z? from SI.com has his by-position breakdown, which overall seems pretty close, however, even though the Bears win the battle 14-9-4 with even a few questionable ones in favor of Indy, he still picks Indy 34-24. He probably went thru the positions and the Bears had 17-18 positions, and he went oh damn, I need to water this down a little, then changed a few and posted this at the end: If you look at the matchups, I like the Bears chances even better now. Thank Dr. Z. He picks against Pro-Bowler R. Brown, Kruetz is a draw with Saturday, and he picks Harper over Tillman even though Harper is hurt. He does pick A. Brown over Freeney which is odd with all the press Freeney gets. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...ense/index.html

Actually once I posted it, I was wondering how long it would take.
  15. That was actually brought up in one of the articles. They were saying the grass is not always greener on the other side. Edge has to be feeling like crap right now - he leaves and they make it to the Super Bowl without him.
  16. Thats funny. That was the first thing I thought. It looks like it is moving NW. You need one in around DR, Haiti, or Cuba. Rexman is his Superhero name.
  17. This game is really no different than any other: Win the turnover battle, win the field position battle, and control the time of possession.

"Peyton's head used to be this big, and now it is twice this size (thanks to you guys). I guess it is staying in proportion to his neck length."

    Bears DVD

Thanks for the insight and the copy offer. I just rented it thru Blockbuster and it might end up in my DVD-RW drive by accident before I send it back. BTW, if anyone wants the SEA or NO game, I have them both in MP4 video format and can give you a link for download. If you are interested PM me.
  20. This is what he said: So they are taking the "I won't say anything" and the fact that he played like 62 positions in college to equal that he will be in on a few offensive plays.
