  1. From all accounts, Tank was a good teammate, whereas Benson was not. He completely alienated himself from the team with his actions and comments.
  2. Damn, then why draft him in the first place? Trade down or choose best available.
  3. His story again seems somewhat odd. He admitted that he indeed had some drinks (2-3) at dinner with his girlfriend, yet he was pulled over at 2am under the suspicion of alcohol. Either he ate really late, or he is lying. There is no way 2-3 drinks at 8 or 9pm would affect him enough 5 hours later that the cops would suspect alcohol. The smile in the mugshot is classic. As some of the others have said, it is not necessarily the action itself. It is the fact that he has had two serious judgment calls that can have serious impacts on his life. Football is all about decision making, and Benson is showing that he lacks that ability.
  4. The problem is Benson will more than likely get out of the charges. If he didn't take a test, there is no way they can prove he was actually DUI.
  5. lol, on the evaluations. I think most people do that with optimism and high expectations that accompany 1st rounders. I forgot about Alexander, that would be an interesting move. The cap hit is actually the worst part. Maybe the Bears could find a suitor just to take Benson off our hands to reduce the cap hit. Some team is stupid enough.
  6. Will teams have to bring in Nickelbacks to defend Olsen? If so, there should be some nice holes for the ground game.
  7. So Favre gets injured in retirement to extend the curse?
  8. Yeah, I see your point, but I think it would be more of a local thing since everything seems to be occurring in the Austin area. After the boat incident, the only time Benson should've been drinking was at home. Why risk it?
  9. I could easily see Hester averaging 3 catches a game with about 15 yds per catch. So something like 50 - 750 seems pretty reasonable. This offense could really surprise with Hester, Olsen, and Forte. Forte is such a bigger threat to catch out of the backfield compared to Benson, so the QB will always have a dump off option. Benson was just a dump.
  10. The other group was port authority if I'm not mistaken. Two completely different entities.
  11. Does he look like he really cares? Who smiles in a mugshot?
  12. This guy could care less what happens to him, obviously. That is the same way he approaches the game. You have to do something now.
  13. MJ may be the greatest sports figure of all-time, or at least top 10 (in all sports). If he doesn't retire early, the Bulls win 8 straight championships. Kobe is great, but he is several tiers below Jordan (along with everyone else). Jordan has done things beyond belief, while Kobe has done things in Denver.
  14. I thought that the higher rounds waited for somewhat of a ripple effect before they complete contracts. I would assume they would be waiting to see what teams before them signed similar positional players for. Regardless, nice to get these contracts done and out of the way. They have to be a relief for these rookies so that they can concentrate on their game (and where do spend all that cash).
  15. All the Bears need to go on that, and maybe they would appreciate what they have, instead of wanting more. Maybe they can have Butkus put them back in their place.
  16. Full size pics through the thumbnails.
  17. To me, Bo is a Raider, Brock is a Cardinal, and Carlton is a Phillie.
  18. Dusty's injury is completely unrelated to what put him on the IR. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me in late May.
  19. I agree with Jason. That 7-9 record was very misleading. This team will be around 9 or 10 wins and will at least be the Wild Card.
  20. At this point, put the best team on the field. I'm just glad both QB's are getting a fair shot.
  21. So you won't be ready for 10-12 minutes or until fully cooked?
  22. Yeah, but Brady would never even had sniffed the field if it wasn't for Bledsoe getting injured.
  23. What is amazing is the transformation of Belicheat himself. He was a mediocre coach at best posting a 36-44 record with Cleveland with only one winning season in five years. He goes from that to the head coach of NE with a 91-37 record and 3 Super Bowls.
