Hicks gone

Featured Replies

Hicks was top shelf when healthy. Unfortunately, he began to spend too much time as a spectator on the sidelines, or at home on IR.

I know NFL salaries are crazy nowadays, but under the circumstances, 10M for a 1 yr deal seems a bit risky.

Yeah, especially considering his age, he will be 33 this year. It did say up to $10M, so he may not hit that number. He has missed 20 games in the last 3 years, so the chances of him even playing 10-12 games is unlikely.

Wow.  Good for him and he has a shot at getting a ring.  Teams that are close are looking for the missing piece.  Missed games aside he does affect the ones he plays in and that can get you home field advantage in the playoffs.  Looks like they had $12mil in cap space.

When you're trying to make a SB run, you take risks. Hicks is a monster but has not been on the field enough to make 10 mil worth it.
