That was an excellent game to help silence the critics, although I'm sure some will continue their "Bears Hate."

I must add:

As big a fan as I am of Rome, he has to stop dropping passes that hit him in the hands.

and...

I must say that I've never seen so many players slamming their helmets into the turf as I did today. (Grin)

and...

Jerry Jones looked really pissed. I swear I saw him almost say "F**k" before he noticed he was on camera. (Grin, Grin)

0 sacks taken, 0 INTs, 4 TDs and a ton of explosive plays. This offense hasn't even scratched the surface yet.

That game is what it’s like when you watch the good teams.  Dennis Allen gets a ton of credit for that defensive effort because early on it looked ugly but he adjusted.  Caleb looked good but hasn’t even reached his ceiling yet.

Yeah Bears receivers still leaving some plays on the field.

Even with those drops, there have only been 22 other times in NFL history where a QB threw 4 TDs with no INTs or Sacks, with a Y/A over 10.0 and under 30 attempts. Williams was the 23rd time.

Don't look now, but Caleb Williams is tied for the league lead in passing touchdowns (7).

Bears caught a much needed break with the Lamb injury, but the offense did exactly what they were supposed to do against a bad defense. Feels good to finally get this one off their backs—especially against Eberflus. Luther Burden looks like the real deal. Rome has to knock it off with the drops, though. Way too many, despite his 4 touchdowns.

I noticed this info posted in an article on NFL.com.

Any good news is worth posting after what we've been through the first two weeks. 😉

Quote

Next Gen Stats Insight for Cowboys-Bears (via NFL Pro): Caleb Williams' 65-yard touchdown pass to rookie Luther Burden III traveled 62.1 yards in the air, the longest completion in the NFL this season and the longest completion of Williams’ career.

NFL Research: Caleb Williams is the first player with 225-plus passing yards and three or more passing TDs in any half this season.

Well said and it could have been 5 if not for the drop by Rome. They still left some plays on the field too - but that was fun. Still work to do but fun to see them growing. Pass rush is still struggling and to his credit Stevenson played a good game. With JJ and all the other injuries, they really need Stevenson to step up and elevate his game.

We are never as bad as our worst game or as good as our best game but we are slowly getting the Ben Johnson offense progressing to what it will end up being. I think after the bye week, things will start being consistent. The defense has a lot of injuries which affects its performance but this game was  more physical and the turnovers showed up.

The Cowboys defense was bad but no one is condemning what their offense is capable of. The turnovers killed them . If our offense scores first it takes teams out of their running game of which we are still bad at it. Gordon and Edwards will help a lot when they get back.
