We have heard from a lot of people but not the NFL or ATL Falcons on this matter. I have never seen this context since they installed the Rooney Rule. Why has this situation never happened before? Role Definition: Ryan stated he is not doing scouting or running meetings, and that the GM's responsibilities remain unchanged. Support System: His focus is on acting as a support system to ensure the new GM and Head Coach have the resources to build a winning team. Philosophy: Ryan expressed a desire to find a GM who shares a philosophy focused on building a strong, "tough" team in the trenches.
