DJ Moore traded to Bills

Featured Replies

To be honest, I didn't think they would but I support whatever they decide they need to do. Haven't heard the compensation. They said mid round, 4th or 5 th?

I posted that at the same time, go ahead and just eliminate mine.

With Dalman's retirement, the Bears freed up $26.5M, and now have over $18M in cap space. Figure that goes to $33M when Edmunds is traded/released.

Unfortunate to see him go.  We all pretty much saw the writing on the wall with Burden on the team.  He’s going to a great situation with Allen as QB. Best of luck to you DJ and thank you for your contributions getting us through some tough times.

That's a great deal. 3 picks in the top 63, and a 4th. I expect him to trade back one of the 2nd round picks down for a few more.

I will say, he at least went to a good team.

I never expected a 2nd rounder, even giving up a late 5th. Pick #60 for Moore and Pick #163. Now if they get anything for Edmunds, that would be icing.

What 3 players in the top 63, that will give us the strongest team.

It will depend on who else we get in free agency but a DT, DE, and a stud LBer will improve the defense drastically. I think in the 4th round we grab a OT or S.

I also think we get that comp pick at 100,so 2 third rounders.

Bears had 25, and 57, and are now getting 60, so slightly better, 3 in the top 60, and don't forget their 3rd rounder at 89.

I suspect they already know they will get a 5th for Edmunds so they could trade ours.

I didn't think about that, but it makes sense.

I like to see this as well, the Bears with 2 in that range:

Daniel Jeremiah is one of the pundits that I respect his opinion.

Plus that 3rd comp pick for Cunningham we deserve. If the NFL was honorable, they would not back out of a program they act proud on.

Sad to see Moore go, but I think this works out well for all parties involved.  Bills get a solid WR to go with Josh Allen,  DJ gets a fresh start on an established playoff team.  Bears get good compensation and some cap room.  I don't see a loser in this trade.

This is a good deal for Bills - closer to an early 3rd rounder (since its a later 2nd rounder). Like it from both teams perspective. Allen is in his prime and he needs a guy that is just a really good receiver.  DJ Moore is that and he's still durable and when you add him to the Bills the offense just got a heck of a lot better. Joe Brady coached him with Panthers too. Very happy DJ ended up in a good situation and it was also right time for Bears to make the move.  Win / Win in my book.

Now lets get a 5th or 6th for Edmunds and quite frankly I'd be interested if we could flip something for Swift. Seeing what Monty got, I would be very open to flipping Swift and than replacing him with one of the free agent backs who is younger.  Call it a pure asset play.

Never missed a game - avg 1K+ over 3 years - fantastic teammate.  Played key role helping us get to where we are and wish him all the best. You were fun to watch over those 3 season's DJ and appreciate what you did as a Bear and for the city of Chicago.
