Future LB idea?

Featured Replies

I saw a few here talking about Lofa Tatupu and how they shoud look at going younger. Reading around about this kid is that the opinion is he would make for a better SLB than a Safety. Does this sound familiar? As perhaps someone we know from New Mexico?

Mays was never known as a smart player who could diagnose plays. If he could even handle it, I can't see him handling a position change like that in such a shortened offseason. Pass.

Coming out of USC he was thought to be to big to play safety and some scouts even projected him to play LB until he posted good numbers in the 40 at the Combine and USC Pro Day. He would be another reclamation project.

I may be wrong but didnt Urlacher play some LB in college as well as Safety. Mays has never played LB. I dont see Mays turning into a LB. Maybe he could turn his career around at safety but i dont see it at LB

The problem with Mays is great body, bad head. He is not a very good football player. Why would in his second year, would SF want to get rid of a stud?

How much coaching does it take to say to a 235 guy who runs a sub 4.4. When u see the guy with the ball...kill him...
