Seen this on Twitter. Brady and Mahomes were never considered generational. Who ? Andrew luck - no Trevor Lawrence - no Joe Burrows - no Eli Manning was never stated to be generational Aaron Rodgers was never called generational Russell Wilson was never considered generational Matt Stafford wasn't Can anyone think of somebody? Maybe Peyton Manning, was he considered generational? In the last 20 years only Manning won one SB that was considered a generational prospect.

Lets say we pick up nobody in FAgency, then who should we draft. Our weaknesses are OL,OL,OL, TE, MLB. so lets do a draft. #1 Lane Johnson/OT/Oak A slight drop below the top 2 but worthy of a pick here, will not make it out of the first round. #2 Larry Warford/OG/Ken A load for a guard with a good pick at 2 #4 Travis Kelce/TE/Cinn A good pass catching TE #5 Jake Johnson/MLB/Sou Ala A highly productive small school player with speed and production that could be a steal drafted here. #6 David Bass/DE/MWS Another highly productive small school player, drafting this low, you take a chance Conclusion- we needed to …

I just saw on espn that Carolina DE Rucker(Spelled right?) just retired. Could they now target someone like harvey instead of taking o-line. Could albert or clady fall to us? If Carolina picks harvey and ryan falls to baltimore then maybe clady or if kc passes on albert this could be good news for us. I'd pass on otah, he's knocked about his footwork and may struggle in passing situations. Denver and KC could be our only spoilers, but you never know. I have a gut feeling there will be a mad run on defense after miami picks, cause once Long, Dorsey, or Gholston are taken teams will panic and go for the others first since the draft isn't as deep on de or dt or lb for …

Brandon Moore was the starting RG for the Jets the past 4 years or so and was cut to save cap. He's a great run blocker and would be a perfect replacement for Garza (who needs to go). He's only 28 and has only been playing the OLine for about 6 years and still has room to improve.

Interestingly he seems a little concerned about the saftey position, but that the draft is kinda weak for it. Bears | Zbikowski scheduled to visit with team Mon, 14 Apr 2008 14:49:00 -0700 Vaughn McClure, of ChicagoSports.com, reports Notre Dame S Tom Zbikowski is scheduled to visit with the Chicago Bears at Halas Hall Wednesday, April 16. Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said this year's class of safeties is anemic but the team could use help at the position. Zbikowski is capable of contributing on special teams.

I just read this blurb on PFW (which isn't to be confused with PFFFFFFFFT): We hear second year Bears WR Earl Bennett, a third round disappointment who admitted that he struggled last season to learn the Bears' playbook, looked a lot more sure of himself running routes at the Bears' first minicamp this offseason. Heading into the draft, Bennett appears to have a tenuous hold on the No. 2 WR spot behind Devin Hester and ahead of Rashied Davis. What do you want to bet that with the addition of Cutler, Bennett becomes not only a lock for the #2, but a breakout performer this year?

I especially like the brown helmets. Instead of cheese heads they could be called turd heads. The accompanying article is below. http://host.madison.com/sports/football/pr...1cc4c03286.html

A couple things I'll be looking for in reports from the OTAs...(assuming these players show up) At the top of my list is Justin Fields with quick feet. That sounds odd for one of the fastest QBs in NFL history but I want to see him demonstrate quick change of direction with his feet on short passes. Snap to the right, snap to the left, just like an elite basketball defender. Keep his feet and throwing mechanics aligned as he goes through his reads and get rid of those poor habits of twisting his body and arm to hit a WR on a bubble screen or a late decision to hit the RB in the flat. Justin with continued improvement on his arm/throwing motion. He worked o…

Guess I'm just an old fool who after watching the Bears Packer game. During a stopage in play, I believe it was the 4'th quarter. Cutler and Rogers were yucking it up on the sidelines. A first I thought it was a split sceen pregame thing, but no! I don't understand how things have changed since the days of Halas, Lombardie, Forest Greg and Ditka. I know many Bears have gone onto play for the Packer, and vice versa. But never during a game, have I seen players yuck it up like I did during this game while getting your ass kicked, as I did today!!! Maybe it's just time to move onto something else. Really sad old fart! Bill

I'm just curious to see what others think. What front office, organization, war room did well in your opinion? I like Baltimore and Kansas City...they both had good drafts, IMO.

Good stuff on Brown today. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...bside31.article Statement that really bothers me: Brown signed a five-year extension in 2004 with a base value of $11 million, a deal he's also not happy with. What made his overtures last offseason somewhat surprising was the fact his agent, Joel Segal, has a close relationship with general manager Jerry Angelo. It was Angelo who met running back Thomas Jones' request for a trade last March after he waited a year. ''We'll definitely talk to him again,'' Brown said. ''If he feels that is what is best for the team, that's what we'll do. If not, he'll do something else. I've played a…

Many people at the time wanted us to trade up and snatch Flacco. Now, doing that, we probably would have been stuck giving up our 2nd round pick (Forte). Flacco looks good and so does Forte, and both look like they could be franchise players at their respective positions- looking back on it, would you rather have Forte, or would you rather we traded up and took Flacco?

I saw a discussion on Twitter that said Wentz only had 6 more completions than Trubisky in college, which I was surprised to hear. So I looked up their numbers: Wentz - 392-612, 64.1, 5115 yds, 8.4 Y/A, 45 TD, 14 INT Trubisky - 386-572, 67.5, 4762 yds, 8.3 Y/A, 41 TD, 10 INT So the whole lack of experience thing with Trubisky is sort of bogus. Also, I cannot believe Philly didn't get more crap for trading up for Wentz. He was an FCS QB who only played in 7 games and was a 5th year Senior. How the hell was this guy even a top rated QB? When I look back at old articles, they don't even mention he was a small school QB who was hurt and missed 8 games?…

I'm going to guess that Leftwich is Tampa's QB. Rumors out of Tampa are is that whoever wins the starting job, the loser will get dealt in order to make Freeman the #2 QB. What would you be willing to give up to make McCown our #2, if anything at all?

Best available for today: RB - Skattebo (76), Sampson (75), Neal, Giddens, Martinez, Tuten IOL - Mbow (74), Frazier DT - Farmer (76), Robinson (74), Pegues, Walker Edge - Swinson (75), Sawyer, Ingram-Dawkins LB - Paul, Stutsman, Simon CB - Riley (74), Frazier S - Bowman, Reed, Ransom (ESPN Grades) The Bears have the 7th pick, in Round 4. I hope Sanders and a few WRs go before the Bears pick, which would give them the best possible pick at 109. There are at least 7 players rated in the top 100 (bold). If Turner is considered a DT, then DT is probably out, so RB or Edge? Skattebo, Sampson, or Swinson?

Last year the offense was below average and the defense was horrible. Going into the draft it seems that anything right now is possible. I'm seeing DB, WR, DE, LB, S, everything possible. Since they're switching to a 3-4, it's difficult to know what any of the guys on the roster can/will do. -The number of potential OLB/ILB combos is borderline obscene. -I happen to think the front three will be figured out between Houston, Ferguson, Ratliff, Sutton, and Allen, especially since Ratliff has been specifically mentioned as being important in plans. -Still need plenty of defensive backfield help. With all that said, here's what Fox has done the last ten ye…
