Everyone is a spectator right now, 9 hours from opening of free agency. One source I trust said: "I expect the Bears to hit it big." source added: "This is it. There is no draft. They have to come out w/ 4 or 5 players. The #Bears will not be outbid. It's in their budget." All I can say is we haven't seen the #Bears, not under Jerry Angelo or anyone else, come out writing checks like that in free agency. So get your popcorn ready for tonight, or set your alarm. This will be interesting to watch. Can you imagine if they don't strike in FA?

I forgot to tell you guys something from the game... During Half Time they had the silent drill team from the Marines. A bunch of guys with rifles, bayonets, and some razor-sharp movements. They were tossing weapons back and forth with perfect movements. It was a pretty impressive site. Well, near the end of their routine, Maynard starts to take warmup kicks. He's bombing 50 yarders from his 25 to the opposite 25, trying to put them near the sideline. Over and over he's drilling them to the same spot. And then when the Marines begin marching off the field, while still towards the middle, Maynard shanks a kick. You hear the groans. You hear the "uh-o…

2012 Stats Bradford - 82.6 QB Rating, 59.5 Comp%, 3702 Yards, 21 TD, 13 INT Cutler - 81.3 QB Rating, 58.8 Comp%, 3033 Yards, 19 TD, 14 INT 2015 Cap Hit: Bradford - $16,580,000 ($3,595,000 dead money) Cutler - $16,500,000 ($19,500,000 dead money) Would you even consider something like this? We get a serviceable QB that at least showed signs of putting it together, except for the injuries. We would get cap flexibility since it is the last year of his contract. We always could cut him later and only take a $3.5 cap hit. If he looks legit, extend his contract and cut the cap hit in half.

According to the SCORE, he had his knee scoped and he'll be out for a bit. Didn't hear specifics on the injury. In other breaking news, William Perry is fat.

  15. Yes. I admit this is a stupid thread. Still, the idea is interesting, and worth a January conversation, even if just for fun. Gronk is apparently telling Brady to go to another team. That implies that he might be willing to come out of retirement to join Brady somewhere without Belichick. They'd want a team with a good defense. They'd want a team that needs a QB and a TE. A team that knew that they were getting older and would draft a QB to sit behind Brady for a couple of years. They'd want a team with a "fun" head coach. No winning at any cost like Belichick. Someone who liked to have dance parties when they win regular season games. Someone who was …

Brady's suspension reinstated. The players collectively bargained Goodell to have these powers and I am glad that this decision was made. In my opinion whether or not I believed in the ball deflation argument Brady and the Patriots should have cooperated with the league. If my boss feels I have done something wrong and as requested something to aid the investigation then I know what would happen to me if I didn't provide. I felt Brady destroying his phone was sticking the finger up to the league and if you can't have discipline then it gives a free rein for the players to do what they choose

All right, this is just for fun… Here are the scenario’s: 1) Trade future picks for Brady Quinn. What would it take? Maybe a 1st and a 4th. 2) Grab a veteran FA. I’ve heard Simms potentially mentioned, but Culpepper looks to be finally healthy. Here’s the ceiling and floor of it all. Quinn is an unknown by NFL standards, yet has the ability to become the franchise QB we have been dreaming of for decades. Pepp and Simms are damaged goods, but have the ability to become serviceable stop gaps with arguable skills possibly not adding up to Orton and Rex. You are the GM and the clock is ticking…

Just glad it's over. I do wonder if the league will appeal. This is, however, a real indictment of the arbitrary nature of Goodell's rulings. I believe Brady was guilty as sin but if the NFL can't convince a judge to take their side, when the Commissioner is supposed to have discretion in these matters, it speaks volumes about how shitty a job he's doing.

Seen this and didn't know where to stick it. I wanted to see where Caleb's throws were rated. You can go to the end of the video, he rated the best throw of the year was Caleb throwing to the quitter in the Packers game. https://youtu.be/onXK_T0fzm8?si=Hsf11Cp-sr1zzt6S
