Pace has taken a lot of heat by his overall draft: Trubisky, I dont think many will complain about actually taking MT its the trading up the one spot that deserves criticism Shaneen has yet to produce but being a 2nd round pick , you expect more this spot in the draft. Cohen and Jackson were taken in the fourth being we gave away our 3 rd pick. Great choices Mogan got drafted in the 5th with the jury still out on but looks like a potential future starter. Re doing the draft with out the trade #1 Still take MT but with the third pick. ( He looks like a potential franchise QB that we had to address in this draft) We could have later taken Watson but t…

Bears just announced he's suspended starting immediately for 10 games due to violation of PED again. Have to think the bears cut ties with him soon. What's tough to think of is the team made for him a captain even after he was suspended last season

Assuming we end up with a top 10 draft pick in 2018, and knowing OLB is a big need for this team I'm keep tabs on some of the better edge defenders in college. So far none of them look like top 10 picks to me. Arden Key might have the length we desire on the edge but plays too lackadaisical for my taste. He's good at making the easy play, earns little more than that. Harold Landry has some excellent quickness in his first step but he's got little more than that. Offers little in run support. Bradley Chubb is the guy I like most. He has very good quickness and speed to get around the edge. His lack of length lets him get swallowed up at times in r…

Bears signed DE Akiem Hicks to a four-year, $48 million extension. I really hope he stays as dominant as he has looked for the life of the contract.

Pace has taken a lot of flack for his first round picks since he has been here but I still think he has did a good job of developing a core of good players going forward. I heard one interview from a former GM talk about Pace and that the draft is only one part of the over all picture in building a franchise and he thinks he as did a good job. This years draft could have potentially brought us our Franchise QB that is still yet to be determined but the arrow is pointing up. The jury is still out on Shaheen but I think his upside is tremendous, you can't teach size. Jackson is looking like a future all pro type with a third round slot. Cohen is a gem, and as …

Since I obviously had way to much time on my hands just sitting around I decided to dissect the numbers on the much talked about playcalling. It is all over the board. Take a look for yourselves. Wk 1) drop back 44 times compared to 19 rushes Wk 2) drop back 46 times compared to 20 rushes Wk 3) drop back 24 times compared to 38 rushes Wk 4) drop back 34 times compared to 30 rushes Wk 5) drop back 27 times compared to 29 rushes Wk 6) drop back 21 times compared to 54 rushes Wk 7) drop back 11 times compared to 26 rushes In Glennon's 4 games he dropped back 148 times and we ran the ball 107 times. So the ratio was 58/42 pass In Trubisky's 3…

The way Fuller has been playing this season, it's pretty obvious that he's in line to receive a big payday from somebody at the end of the year, providing he can maintain this level of play throughout the season. One of the cardinal rules in team building is to not let your young talent go in free agency to let other teams reap the benefits. Pace has already let that happen once with Alshon Jeffery. Although, it is fair to point out that Jeffery didn't want to be in Chicago, although I suspect some of it may have had to do with the rocky relationship he had with Fox. Not sure where Pace fits in with having influence there, but regardless, the same thing applies now …

http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/10/19/b...football-focus/ Our defense has been under the radar this season, overshadowed by the horrendous play of Glennon and the slow start with Trubisky. I'm not sure if I'd put us in the top 5 league-wide yet but the performance against Baltimore was impressive.

So Alex Smith and A. Rodgers think they got hit late. Get some flag football equip for these putzes. They play with guys that go all out to win, and they want some special treatment? Whine and bitch all you want,if you can't accept the risk, stay off the field.

Viking drove him into the ground on a questionable late hit. No need for the extra contact after throw as released. I hate Rodgers, but it sucks for the league when stars get hurt.

1. The defense was borderline dominant, led by Hicks, Fuller, and Amos. Jackson, Trevathan, and Callahan also had great games. Literally, the only knock on the defense was Jones, who seemed lost for a bunch of plays (which is somewhat understandable considering his play time). Defense looked much better with Trevathan back. Amos' play is going to make us forget we have Demps. If he can keep it up, we all of a sudden have a great Safety duo in Amos and Jackson. There is not much more you can say about Hicks other than the dude comes to play and earns his check every game. Love it. Floyd was not as visible this game, but does seem to get held on every play. Fuller is playi…

With a night a sleep, looking back at the game on Game Pass, here were my observations: 1. The team should've been more prepared with 11 DAYS to prep for Minnesota. This is on Fox. Game plan for the most part was crap, this is on Loggains. Very predictable. Outside of the trick play for 2pt conversion and fake punt, not much to like. Don't get me started on the penalties. How about those timeouts? Would've been nice to have some at the end of the game. Instead, we used one AFTER MIN used one? How does that happen? 2. Trubisky is the real deal, and Glennon was only part of the problem in the previous losses. Trubisky's ability to move in the pocket, and extend pl…
