Bears 10-4, still have outside shot at a first-round bye, though very unlikely. The game is still important to at least lock in the #3 seed. Interesting to see the line only at -4. Based on some bookie sites, a lot of money going SF's way. Hopefully not a trap game, we need to finish strong and Trubisky needs to string together some solid games. Bears 27-13.

Here is a list of QBs selected in the top 10 since 2010 (19). Outside of Newton, Luck, Mahomes, and maybe Wentz, do any of these other guys strike you as 15-year franchise QBs? I know you can say the same about any position or pick in the top 10, but with all the scouting and analysis, it would seem like the QB position would be one of the easier ones to assess properly. 1. He's disappeared. I know the Bears exercised the 5th year option on him but, at this time, he's not playing anywhere close to that value ($13.2 million). My understanding is the Bears could simply cut him before the beginning of the league year and would not have to pay him. Is this correct? Peace

"Big D&%# Nick" comes up big. 2.5 quarters with Trubisky generated 10 points against a terrible Falcons defense. He also gave them great field position on his interception. 1.5 quarters with Foles generated 20 points. He also had a TD taken away when Dennard took the ball away from ARob in the end zone. So it could have been 27. Night and day difference running the offense.

Monty has one more year on his rookie deal and has been very solid for the Bears over the last two years. I can't wait to get him back in the lineup where the Bears will have a real 1-2 punch in Monty and Herbert. Thru last week, with Monty missing a few games, their stats are very similar but they are completely different runners: Monty 69-309, 4.5 Y/A, 6-49. Herbert 58-279, 4.8 Y/A, 7-48. If Herbert keeps this up, and looks legit in a small sample size, the Bears will have to decide if they want to extend Monty, which seemed like a no-brainer just a few weeks ago. Now, I don't know. Sounds like Jay Cutler suffered his 1st concussion when Greg Olsen whiffed on a block and Cutler got killed and fumbled the football. At least that is what all of the Chicago radio media seem to be reporting. Olsen had one of the worse games I've ever seen. He gave up a few sacks on his own, stopped running on multiple passes (2 of which led to picks). They were poor passes regardless, but at least one of them wouldn't have resulted in a pick had he not quit on the route.
