While most of us are all about DE, S, CB, QB, there hasn't been much talk about OLB as a selection. 1. Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson 2. TJ Watt, OLB, Wisconsin 3. Cooper Kupp, WR, EWU 4. Justin Evans, S, TX A&M 4. Rasul Douglas, CB, WVU 5. George Kittle, TE, Iowa 7. Mack Hollins, WR, UNC Read his rationale here. I don't like doubling up on WR, but that's a different take than we've been seeing lately.

I'm just curious why there is no discussion, or someone promoting Lattimore with the 3rd pick? He's clearly the top rated CB in this draft with a grade nearly as high as the top two safeties. Traditionally CB has higher value than Safety so it seems some among us would be on the soap box for him. Is it because of his hamstring injury history? Depth at the position in the draft? Or because we signed two FA CB so the need is a bit less? Most here agree with the idea of taking a CB in Rd 2. Is Lattimore just not good enough to warrant the 3rd overall pick? If we trade back, at what point does he enter the discussion considering favorites here are largely Allen…

We have free agents added and soon will add several draftees to the team, but I think one thing we have over looked the the potenial of 2nd year players taking giant steps forward. with the injuries to Goldman in his two first years , a healthy year will add a lot to he strength of the DL. Hicks was a stud on the DL last year and he probably takes a step back but Bullard did not contribute anything his first year. I think this year we see him add bulk ,strength and a lot more contribution to the team. No one has ever said he is not a hard worker and his love of football will put him in the position to take a large step forward. In the D backfield, Hall was …

Film review by Tom Thayer. I for one am stoked about Sims' potential. Saw some other highlight films and thought this guy is a good catch. I love how he catches with his hands and he's big and strong (no, I don't have a man crush).

As per multiple sources. One year deal. Considering none of the quarterbacks in the draft are ready to play now--I think this means we'll draft a guy in round 2 or 3 and we have no intention of playing him this year.

In free agency we have added depth at all positions of need. So if Pace truly takes BPA, I looked at 5 lists of top players and these names common in all: Garrett Thomas Allen Forunette Adams Garrett will be gone and with Howard, wer wont be taking Fournette. So our pick will be from these three: Thomas Allen Adams I would be happy with any of them, but think it will be Thomas. I think we grab a SS in the second or third round, the position of great depth. I think Allen having arthritis moves him back on our list.

  10. http://walterfootball.com/draft2017charlie.php 1-Jonathan Allen DE- The 5T can really tip the scale for making Chicagos front 7 elite 2-Deshaun Watson QB- they feel he is still over drafted here, but it would be a steal in my book 3-Zay Jones WR- With the loss of AJ and unknown of White, I can see this pick. Would be ok 4-Jeremy Sprinkle TE-Early on I was big on Sprinkle as all around TE 4-Brenden Langley CB-Dont know much on him but seems like a good prospect. I didn't catch were Jordan Leggett went, but could pair him up with Watson if he is available. Would also consider OLB or S round 3 if a stud is still there.

Former RB for the Rams. So I guess that takes drafting an RB off the table? Not a bad choice. He's more a scat back. Reminds me of Sproles. Definitely different than both Langford and Howard. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/03/21/bea...to-1-year-deal/

The original mock draft for 2017 produced the following: 2017 EVERYONE AGREES MOCK - VER 2.0 1. Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama - Nearly half the board is upset, regardless of the pick 2. Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech - Assures Barkley doesn't start 3. Budda Baker, S, Washington - Gives the Bears a solid back-end 4. Chad Wheeler, OT, USC - Potential for either side 4. Kevin King, CB, Washington - Good size/speed combo, cohesion with Baker 5. Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA - Rising draft boards, could be a steal 7. Pharaoh Brown, TE, Oregon - Skilled pass-catcher with injury history Yes Votes for QB in RD1 - 10 Alaska - RD1 QB=Y Ashkum - RD1 QB=Y AZ54 - RD…

https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/843888880659193858 I'd think this is due diligence on a trade down. OTOH if there is a team in the top 10 that really wants Foster this might make them a little more likely to trade up for him.

I heard the bears are converting D. Hall to safety. That tells me , we may be drafting the top CB with one of our first two picks.

I don't know how much Cap the Bears have left, but I assume it's enough to make a push for Peterson. The way I figure it, why not? He doesn't seem to be getting the interest expected, which means the cost will be lower than anticipated. He's a perfect "complimentary" back, which sounds ridiculous to say. Truth is, the Bears should be running way more than passing this year, so it makes sense to create a two-headed monster in Howard and Peterson. The added benefit is it obviously extends the usefulness of each RB because the lessened burden. And the cherry on top? Adrian Peterson would get to shove it to his former team who didn't want to keep him around. …
