I found this hilarious. Everyone talks about how good the Patriots are and everything so much it makes most of us sick. So check this out. My information is from NFLDraftBible on Twitter. Between 2005-2008 the Patriots had a total of 26 picks and hit on just 3 of them. (Meriweather/Mayo/D. Thomas) He refuses to call Gostkowski a hit because he was a 4th rd pick where Brandon Marshall was selected just after him and Elvis Dumervil and also Ray Edwards later in the rd. He refuses to call a 4th rd pick on a Kicker a hit. I tend to agree with him as we have a better Kicker and he was undrafted. Just saying.

Tiki Barber Who wouldn't want a 36 year old running back who retired 4 years ago? Looks like the analyst gig wasn't working out.

Sign Mike Sims-Walker: 5 years, $20 million. 1. Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin ---The Bears had 3 scouts at Wisconsin's pro day. If he's there, he's the pick. 2. Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State ---I can't imagine he'll fall this far, but if he does, he should be the selection. 3. Rock Carmichael, CB, Virginia Tech ---Carmichael had a good year and is a winner. In round 3, this should be a good time to find a guy to replace Jennings in a year or 2. 4. Kris O'Dowd, C, USC ---O'Dowd can sit a year behind Kreutz. 5. Jah Reid, OG, Central Florida ---The Bears need some OG depth, badly. 6. Dion Lewis, RB, Pittsburgh ---This is iffy because apparently Taylo…

I feel so much better now that Thompson came and said that players will be at the Fan Expo. Someone might need to tell him that right now that can't happen.

We will pick the 6 rounds. 3 points if we pick the right player in the right round. 2 points if we pick that player in any round. 1 point if we pick the right position in the round there picked. I am up for throwing in some money on that. As an example 1st round---------Liuget/DT/Ill 2nd round---------Watkins/OG/TCU 3rd round----------Burton/CB/Utah 4th round-----------Linnenkohl/OC/Ore 5th round-----------Lloyd/MLB/Conn 6th round-----------Johnson/FS/TCU

Owners Reports that the owners have put enough money away to sustain them in the event the entire season is lost. Players State that it's obvious the owners were planning on locking out the players regardless. Mildly ironic that the players are judging the owners for the same thing the NFLPA advised the players to do during the season. Owners Reports that the players didn't even look at the final offer before decertification. Leading owners to believe decertification was in the plans all along. 15. Since there's nothing happening on the free-agency front any time in the foreseeable future, I thought we should have a running thread for all the draft prospects the Bears are putting through private workouts, and all the Pro Days they're sending coaches to. After all, it's the only thing that's going on between now and April. So I've listed all the workouts I could find so far, along with a quick report on the lesser-known guys and on which coaches the team sent to see each dude. Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin - Tice worked him out at Wisconsin's Pro Day. We all know this guy. I think most of us would be pretty happy to see him in a Bears uniform. Mike Pouncey…

A team with a pretty decent return game/return man might be exceptionally impacted by these proposed kickoff rule changes. I'm not sure how they'd enforce the "Wedge" part, probably something about positioning, but this could seriously change the special teams game. Moving the kickoff up and putting an extra 5 yards on touchbacks would certainly increase the amount of touchbacks and dramatically curtail the number of returns in a game.

http://bearingthenews.com/?p=1131 Daring the NFL to Disappear Here’s a heaping load of truth brought to you courtesy of Dan McNeil, writing for the Chicago Tribune: “You don’t need the NFL. You only think you do.” “I’m daring the NFL to disappear.” So am I. I’m old enough to have been around for the last NFL labor stoppage. You know what happened? I found other things to do on Sunday afternoon. So did millions of others. And that’s what will happen if NFL games are lost due to a lockout. As much as I enjoy the NFL, I’m not too worried about missing it. In fact, I’m very ambivalent and I find myself growing more so every day as I con…

  18. The website is run by a former scout and has alot of good info on it. It picked the Bears first pick as Liuget/dt/Ill. The second one was Franklin/OT/Miami. Is rising on draft boards, possible could start sometime his rookie year after Tice gets ahold of him. The 3rd pick was Patrick/cb/Loiusville. Most drafts have him listed in the top 10 cb prospects, which probably would fit with a 3rd round pick.

But now Cutler’s not even on the continent. Cutler accompanied his girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari, on a trip to Kenya with the non-profit One Kid One World, which focuses on rebuilding schools and providing supplies to students and teachers in Kenya and El Salvador. On March 8, Cavallari posted on her Twitter account that s…
