WTF.......I hope he can get healthy!!!!

After the first quarter of the season, we are through the toughest part of the schedule, which was expected. Most had us at 1-3 after 4 anyway. Now it seems like we shift into an easier quarter of the season, currently scheduled to play teams with a combined record of 5-10. We should at least split, if not go 3-1 in the next 4. That would put us between 3-4 at the halfway point. Then we go into a tougher quarter playing teams 11-5, and 1 win seems to be the most realistic outcome (though we could split depending on what STL team shows up). Then we get into the final quarter against teams currently 5-10 again like the 2nd quarter. To me this sets up for 7-9 wins and…

1. Play calling on our side was poor. So many times in the red zone with nothing by FG's. Why run it in OT when you were moving the ball effectively through the air. Playaction... 2. Pass rush was non-existent. 3. Jay can't throw the pick in the red zone. Basically, this was the Lions' game. They were due for an uptick, and we were due for a downtick. Last night shows just how important a good coaching staff really is. The Bears last year lost to GB 38-17 and 55-14. This year the Bears lost 31-23 and won 17-13. You cant say the Bears are more talented this year, they still have glaring needs on the Defensive side of the ball, the Oline is not preforming well. What has changed, there are some new faces, rookies playing well, Cutler has played really well but the biggest change is the Coaching. Cutlers play can be credited to great coaching as well, not that Cutler didnt clearly change some things to turn it around the way he has. Was perusing the early morning rags and saw a small blip about how "Arian Foster to Chicago makes the most sense." When I went to open it was a video article so I didn't get a chance to see who the hell made this prediction. But why on earth would the Bears ever consider this? He had 3 Red Zone TD's tonight and had 30 carries. 30 carries is a career high (his career best was 27 and he only had more than 25 twice). The interesting note is that he only averaged 3.3 yards per carry and that was against some very soft front 7's due to NY's passing game (3-4 WR sets). So for the season he is now averaging 3.76 yards per carry and is on pace for 416 carries, which would be 100 more than his career high (as a rookie) and only 2nd time he broke 300. Some rumors that the Bears are one of two teams who would likely make a push for Romo this off-season. As a two year stop-gap, while we develop a QB, I absolutely would be okay with the move. We have tons of cap space and a defensive arrow that is pointing up. I don't love any of the QB's who we may not even have a shot at with our 1st round pick and this would allow us to take someone and develop them without the immediate pressure of needing them to come in (and if we misssed, we could take another one while still having a good QB...cause Romo is good (if he's healthy). Which position/area would you like the Bears to focus a little more love on? Or, put another way, which position/area could the Bears draft multiple players and get your support? Two at QB, WR, OT, CB, S? What about three for the secondary? With all the talk about S in the first, I was wondering if the tolerance level had risen to where a surplus would be accepted. I don't know how much Cap the Bears have left, but I assume it's enough to make a push for Peterson. The way I figure it, why not? He doesn't seem to be getting the interest expected, which means the cost will be lower than anticipated. He's a perfect "complimentary" back, which sounds ridiculous to say. Truth is, the Bears should be running way more than passing this year, so it makes sense to create a two-headed monster in Howard and Peterson. The added benefit is it obviously extends the usefulness of each RB because the lessened burden. And the cherry on top? Adrian Peterson would get to shove it to his former team who didn't want to keep him around. …
