Cutler has to play better. He looked lost today. He seemed to have the Grossman on NYE mentality today--the "f*** it, this game is meaningless" mentality. Hopefully he brings it in 2 weeks. I will assume that they sign a WR in the FAgency as there are many out there, and maybe a OLineman. Ideally Sidney Rice and maybe Deuce Lutui, guard from the Cardinials. Rice is young would be perfect for Cutler. Lutui had a excellent year in 2009 and sucked in 2010. Hes 28 and could come reasonable. I also assume they resign Kruentz for another year or two while we train a new center. That they cut T. Harris. 1) Sherrod/OT/Miss St or Castonzo/OT/BC, one of them should be there. This guy knows how to coach defense like we haven't seen in some time. He is getting a solid product on the field week after week, with improvements and adjustments. He's putting in new pieces, misfitting pieces, and still getting solid results. For the most part, the defense has been respectable, and I'm really impressed. At this point, with the way the season is going, I'm thinking the Bears need to trust him, give him the toys he wants in the offseason, and let the offense rely on White's return/Jeffery's health. The defense has played poorly but the oline has been brutal. Jay was crushed again this week and the good news is, he still is largely playing smart football, however, this was the 2nd street week Long had a brutal block that led to a quick sack and fumble. On top of the 5 sacks this week (and similar to past weeks) the penalties by our oline absolutely killed momentum and big plays. This is a totally different football game if we aren't consistently negating big plays with penalties (not to mention killing momentum).
