SF at 5-7 is favored by 3.5 pts at home. They are playing after a SUN Night game in the snow in BUF, while the Bears are coming off their mini bye at Thanksgiving. SF has lost 3 straight and have been outscored 73-20 in their last two games. McCaffrey looks to be out for the year, so it will be interesting to see how they respond. The defense has been faultering lately but over all in the season it is still in the upper end of the league. Considering the lack of offense in many games, they showed fatige at the end of the game. Begining the yr Pickens was injured and just starting getting snaps the last few games. Sweat and Darrell Taylor have been fighting injuries most of the yr. Terrell Smith missed most of the season and Jacob Martin started the season on IR. Since this season is already over other than for watching the progress of Caleb, I took a look at the 2025 opponents based on the current records and seeding. On paper, it will be one of the toughest schedules in the league again with only 5-6 "winnable" games. The strong division makes the entire schedule that much tougher. 11 games against teams at .500 or better, 6 games vs sub .500 teams. This move seems to have backfired on Poles. A waste of a 4th round pick and roster spot. Allen has been a liability and for some reason Caleb has targeted him a ton. He has 30 receptions on 56 targets with several drops. Kmet has 32 receptions on 37 targets. So 2 more receptions with 19 fewer targets. Allen also missed 2 games, so those numbers would be even higher if he didn't. It almost feels like Caleb feels obligated to throw the ball to Allen even though there are much more efficient options. Allen should be the 4th option, not the 1st or 2nd one.

What more do you need to see? How many more games are going to lose because of coaching? No team pulls losses from the jaws of victory like the Bears. This one, at home, against your supposed #1 rivals, for a chance to stay in the playoff hunt. Instead you lose in another miserable fashion to lose your 4th straight. We are just past the halfway point in the season and based on preseason projections, these are the 5 biggest surprising teams and 5 biggest disappointments so far: Surprises: 1. MIN 7-2 2. PIT 7-2 3. ARZ 6-4 4. LAC 6-3 5. WSH 7-4 Disappointments: 1. MIA 3-6 2. DAL 3-6 3. CHI 4-5 4. CIN 4-6 5. NYJ 3-7 At this point, you can almost swap one team per Division (MIN > CHI, PIT > CIN, WSH > DAL) on the projections. You would expect all the HCs on the disappointing teams are on the hot seat and some may still be fired before the end of the season if those teams keep losing.

I have always kind of liked Denver -like the state-cool uniforms-they have a great coach? I have always admired Pitt, great coach-kind of the mind set similar to Bears.
