Play good enough to win but refs do everything in their power to help us with higher draft pick. Last drive was crazy, multiple ticky tack hiding calls, then a no-call against DET for DPI and we lose by 3.

  4. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/02/17/rep...y-david-bruton/ Is there any guy on the Bronco defense we are not interested in? The timing of this report is weird since it's 21 days until free agency and he appears to be a mediocre starting safety. You figure it came from the agent, but again, he's a mediocre safety who happened to play for the best defense in the league.

This was on the Bears' website a few days ago. We can't know if he'll succeed but we can at least feel good knowing that Trubisky is not going the route of Cade and Rex. Neither of them wanted to put the time in nor had the dedication needed to become a good QB in the NFL. I suspect some of his conviction to get the playbook down this quickly comes from when he hit the bench in 2015. He'll wait his turn this year but not without a fight. Training camp might be more interesting than expected. We'll know early on if he's maintained this focus throughout the summer. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...8b-c199b5ee3c59

I thought he'd be in the mix for running backs the Bears hope to bring in for competition (Translation: To replace the overpaid asswhipe who started the season for us this year) Although I'm surprised he signed this early and for this cheap. It gives me hope that a guy like Julius Jones will be "inexpensive." Here's the story from PFT.: "After generating only 1,016 yards in four full seasons with the Raiders, running back Justin Fargas busted out in 2007, nearly equaling that totaling 14 games, with seven starts. For that, Fargas has been rewarded with a new contract. According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, it's a three-year, $12 million deal with $…

For the record, the offense was terrible. I realize that. But I am getting tired of this D getting a pass, or some saying they played well. Maybe if we compare this game to the cincy or Az games, then sure, they played well. But only if we set the bar that low. On the ground, this unit should be embarrassed. Yet another week where a RB puts up season best numbers. Hell, KC did a better job holding McCoy than we. I am sure Lovie will crow about holding McCoy under 100 yards since he only had 99. Oh yea. And a 5 ypc avg. And we gave up a total of 157 rushing yards on the day. D.Jackson has not gone for 100 yards since week 3, but found little trouble a…

  8. Posted by Aaron Wilson on July 11, 2009 8:35 PM Perhaps no young Pro Bowl quarterback has drawn as much criticism as Chicago Bears newcomer Jay Cutler. Usually, the topic at hand is Cutler's messy breakup from the Denver Broncos. In this case, though, Cutler is under scrutiny for his tendency to take risks on the field. After watching tapes and performing a statistical analysis of Cutler's performance over the past three years, KC Joyner of ESPN.com, per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times, has drawn some very negative conclusions about the former Vanderbilt star. "I've said it many times and I'll say it again, Cutler will make Bears fans remember R…

ZZ reported from the sideline in the 3rd quarter that Toub was livid. He walked over and pointed at Manning. Evidentally, he is tired of Devin's act on KO returns. I had called for this last week saying that Hester cannot, for whatever reason, handle all the responsibility he has. I am hoping they leave Manning on KO returns the rest of the yr. Peace

  11. Now that most of free agency and the draft is over, our Bears have obviously improved. What degree will the roster improvement help us? Our three win season could be debated that we were better than that, while others may say that we were taken lightly. So, as water seeks it own level, we sought ours. In looking at the improvements, the WR room benefited the most, by getting a stud receiver. Getting Moore places all the others where they belong in the food chain. In the background, it places greater motivation for Mooney and Claypool to produce. (Especially Claypool because we know how Mooney works) The LB corps is now one of the best in the league, after …

If we win our two games and end up 10-6 which would you prefer to happen? 1. The Vikings lose to the Giants and we win the Division and play the first game at home against either the Bucs or the Cowboys. OR 2. We win the wild card by Tampa losing to the Raiders and the Eagles beating the Cowboys and we play the Vikings again in the first round. IMHO I want number one to happen!!!!

These are some players, who I believe use to be with us,who are starting somewhere else and for the most part are doing pretty good. John st Clair, Casey Wigeman, Mark Columbo, Gandy, Berrian, Benson, Thomas Jones, Tank Johnson, Orton and there might be more. I was just thinking the other day what we had and what we have now. Also we used to have the best return man in the history of the NFL (Hester) and still have him,but man do I miss what he used to do. To me it seems that our players under the L.Smith regime (how do I say this) have a lot of say so, are not disiplined enough, can tell the coach who they like on the team and who they don't like, have no urgency in games w…

I didn't record the game, and I surely wasn't there, but I was wondering why the Bears couldn't throw the same way as the Patriots yesterday. What I mean is, I know Cutler is not Brady, but why wouldn't the 7-15 yard pass patterns be just as effective for the Bears as they were for the Patriots? Would not the Pats' defensive players slip just as the Bears' did? Don't they have to react just as much as the Bears' defense did? Leading up to the game I heard two coaching strategies: 1) Bill Cowher said teams should blitz. 2) Multiple people said the short passing game had an advantage in the snow because reacting to a route is harder than executing a route. …

Lets see what you think about this. The Bears spend some money and aquire Kevin Jones(RB), Bentley(LG), Farve/Culpepper(QB) Henry(WR). Would these players make us a better team if we got them to do the right thing(Henry)? Just a thought. LOL!!

Below are players that could be around our slot by looking at a Walterfootball.com mock. I did a quick 3 rounds and ranked them in order I like. Round One: Bears Big 10 (In order I think Bears should have them) Duke Robinson G Oklahoma 6-5 330 Pros: Huge body that he used very well blocking. All Pro prospect Cons: Guard is position that rarely see's RD1, Robinson proj around 25th William Moore S Missouri 6-1 227 Pros: Leader for Mizou's D, can play either S position, great hitter, football IQ, ability to create turnovers. Cons: Probably more suited to play the box which we seem to be loaded w/ right now Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri 6-1…
