Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. I look at all the moves the Bears make and shake my head. Nothing spetacular, but at least they have did something and arent done yet. I think they had a good draft, if they get Kueutz back will be an ok FAgency. The thing I need to realize is WITH a bad offensive line, poor WRs, and a sprint to put able bodies in the secondary, they still made it to the NFC title game. I have to say I need to be a little more positive about their stupidity.

This seems like a match made in heaven. A team has... 1. A troubled locker room and needs a disciplinarian. 2. Plenty of talent. 3. An aging, veteran QB. 4. A bad defense that needs to be turned around by a defensive mind. 5. A new GM looking for a head coach. It would not shock me in the least if Fox gets fired, and immediately gets thrown into the mix as the #1 name for the Giants.

Jimbo Covert was the last OT the Bears drafted in the top 10 but, we have endured Cedric Benson , Kevin White, Mitch Trubisky, Leonard Floyd and Roquan Smith. As a Bears' fan I agree with Jason , this bothers me

  7. The way the rules favor QB's, and recievers, for more points, might be good for us if we committe ourselves to the run game. Since most defenses are preparing for this pass happy league in games and practice, we might have an advantage if we can keep running the ball like last week. Most teams might be more prepared for the pass than the run. So lets run at least 30 times against Detroit. Also on defense for us, I am liking the way we play in the red zone the last few years. It seems to me that many of the points scored on us come from outside of the red zone, once their O is in our red zone we see things better. I've said this before "sometimes I like it better when our…

I am extremely happy with the development of our WRs. Hester, Bennett, and Knox have all stepped up big time. I do not see this as a need next yr. I would say FA and the draft should concentrate on: - Offensive line - Defensive backfield Get a top tier OL in FA and then draft best available of the 2 in the 3rd and 4th round. Peace

Lovie Smith and Co. Week 17: You milk it the 2nd half and basically let your arch rival into the playoffs. Horrible offensive playcalling (Martz), however defense was great 95% of game. Divisional Playoff: Great game all around, then your OC calls a halfback pass... we all know NFC Championship: Arch rival comes to town and hands you your ass for 35minutes. Your QB gets hurt and you bring in a guy who couldnt complete a pass in flag football. OC terrible playcalling majority of game. 3rd and 3 on a game tying drive, you call a reverse to a slow WR, and an Olin you knpw dam well cant get to the second level.. You have a RB who besides Greg Jennings, is ha…

Since the Bears arent going to make much of a big splash in FAgency, here my list to upgrade the roster. Dahl/OG-Atl Nasty attitude bodes well for our OL Light/OT-NE Older but could be a bridge to Carmi or Webb on left side . A two year deal Mebane/DT-Sea Ruskin knows well, has big upside Sims-Walker/WR/Jag bottom end of first tier WRs, could be big upgrade over current crop of wideouts Anderson/LB-Car starting to come into his own and still young Marshall/CB-Car He has good stats and can start on this team None of the above will come cheap but none will cost big money. Light is the only one with age.…

Today, the Chicago Bears. Love the Bears: This team could set records. Since adopting a 16-game schedule, the record for fewest points scored in a season is held by the 1992 Seahawks with 140, averaging 8.75 points per game. This Bears team could give chase. Let's break it down. At quarterback, we're likely to see both Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton, who I think could accurately b…

Hey Guys, I'm very optimistic about our new staff and roster. I've been hoping for something like this, and it seems to me that they are doing all the right things. That said, I do expect the defense to take a step backward this year. Our "Cover 2" defense should probably be called a "One Gap" defense, since it's more about the front than the coverage behind it. Our aggressive scheme asks defensive linemen to get into their gaps and get upfield. This leaves 4 other gaps for LBs and a Safety to be responsible for. Unlike a 2 gap front, where players hold position, and linebackers roam behind like little safeties, our system thrives on upfield pressure, …
