http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/blog/ro...t-chicago-bears Projecting the draft: Chicago Bears By Jeff Reynolds | NFLDraftScout.com The Bears have a new general manager in Phil Emery, a new offense headed by Mike Tice and a familiar set of needs. Emery, an understudy of late Bears and Packers front office man Mark Hatley with strong ties to Scott Pioli, gave the Bears a head start in March, acquiring a No. 1 receiver in Brandon Marshall for a team that last had a 1,000-yard receiver in 2003 (Marty Booker). The Bears also signed Michael Bush, a strong 1A option behind disgruntled franchised running back Matt Forte but struck out in the market for a…

Just seeing if anyone is going anywhere, besides Chicago, to see a Bears game this year. For example, I know MadLith lives in California so SF or ARZ games are options, and I *think* jason lives in Tennessee, so the Titans game is an option for him. As I'm sure you all know, every year I go somewhere. In 2008, it was Indianapolis, 2009- Seattle, 2010- Carolina, 2011- Denver. The last 2 years I haven't seen Cutler, so maybe I'm a jinx. This year, I'm thinking about driving to GB week 2, and I'm definitely going to Nashville for November 4 vs Tennessee.

Is there any vets that could get dropped during training camp due to roster additions? I will throw out there that the (Devin Package) could be a ticket out of town. We added several WR prospects. We added several KR prospects. He makes a lot of money for a 4th WR and a KR specialist I think they ask him to take a pay cut and have the additions to release him or trade him. It is not that I would like this move but with his cap hit this year is 7.6 mil and 12.8 next year and 10.5 mil. is roster bonuses and 3.5 in salary that could be dropped. , I see this as potenially happening. We would save a ton of money. Also I see the possiblity of Spence…

  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5604133.story The Bears weren't able to add help at defensive tackle during the draft, so they found some on the street. An NFL source told the Tribune the team agreed to terms Thursday night with John McCargo, a former first-round draft pick of the Bills, and DeMario Pressley, former teammates at North Carolina State. Both players will receive one-year contracts. McCargo and Pressley are in position to battle for a roster spot because the Bears have only three experienced tackles: Henry Melton, Matt Toeaina and Stephen Paea, last year's second-round draft pick. The Buccaneers released McCargo this month. The…

I have to say I saw this coming. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-goal-line.html It may be minor right now, but when we get later in the season and Bush has half as many carries but just as many TDs, expect more rumblings from Forte.

...call me crazy , but I feel like it's Groundhog Day. D plays well. O sucks. Haven't we been part of this for what seems like 30 years now? I fear we have ruined Cutler. Either given him too much power or got him sacked, hurried and hit so much he's a shell of a QB. This season is certainly going to be interested. I'm not so sure in a good way...

Here is what we have left, if we show any additional improvement, and get some guys back off injury, we actually have a shot at the playoffs, but the next 3 games will be critical. @ STL (4-4) - winnable game, STL defense is tough, and Gurley has emerged, however, we are better against the run than the pass, so this plays into our defensive strengths, and if Forte and Royal are back, we have great shot with our offense. vs DEN (7-1) - Denver's defense has masked just how bad the offense and Manning have been. A mid-November game in Chicago and Fox knowing a lot about the players gives us a shot. If Indy can beat them, we can beat them. I expect a close game, and w…

I've done a ton of mocks on fanspeak and I've come up with a very common scenario many times: #11 kind of stinks for our needs. Tunsil & Stanley are gone. Buckner is gone. Jack is gone. The Bears are left with Elliott, Treadwell, Goff, and two DT/DE guys that may not fit (Robinson, Rankins). So what do they do? I hate the idea of Elliott. I also hate the idea of a 1st round QB. If someone were opposed to the DTs, then Treadwell may be the pick. The only other option that I really like is Conklin. I'm not sure if Conklin is worthy of such a high pick. I sure hope it doesn't play out that way. But if it does, would you be upset …

Went back and watched some of his film, dude can play. He's an athlete and when I read more about his off-the field issues, the bigger concerns are of him just being a unique spirit, not being a guy with a major issue. He did have one huge mistake, but he's a massive man who is immensley athletic. I'm not advocating taking him @ 11, but I am advocating him as a no brainer in the 2nd round (if he is there) and I'd go as far as saying I'd be willing to either move down later in the 1st (to get him) or move up from the 2nd to get him. This is a guy who could be a true game changer on this defense (something we sorely need and lack). If he busts, oh well, shoot for th…

Bears work out Tony Moeaki, other tight ends Posted by Josh Alper on June 9, 2016, 3:23 PM EDT ATLANTA, GA - JANUARY 03: Tony Moeaki #81 of the Atlanta Falcons runs after a catch during the first half against the New Orleans Saints at the Georgia Dome on January 3, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) Getty Images The Bears traded Martellus Bennett to the Patriots this offseason, leaving them with Zach Miller at the top of the depth chart and a slew of players vying for backup roles on this year’s roster. They appear to be considering another addition to that latter group. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the team …
